Hello, I'm a big wagon fan having owned a Buick Roadmaster wagon, Ford Crown victoria wagon and a Chevrolet Caprice wagon. I'm now considering purchasing a used Buick Regal TourX. How many miles do you have on yours and do you have any reliability issues especially with the all wheel drive. Is there anyything else i should be concerned about? Thanks. Adam
Adam, I have 36k+ mile on mine. Check out this forum for a wide perspective on the TourX. I have had one really odd issue with mine which required the replacement of a door striker and a lock motor after a particularly brutal thunderstorm with tree-toppling straight line winds. buickforums.com/forums/forums/2018-buick-regal-sportback-and-tourx-forum.135/
Its usual practoce for it to be higher than stock stated speeds, because car will over rear after 100kmh/62 miles more and more, its both to accomodate for that and possiblity of you going faster(on german autobahn) especially when drafting behind someone else. Also with limiter remove it should be able to go faster. Since its not an SIV it handles well you might try takin git to a race track. It could be quite entertaining in corners even if its not dedicated sportscar.
The primary reason is that the reading of the speedometer is most accurate at about 50% of the maximum, it’s also used for marketing purposes to make you think the car can go faster than it really can, but that’s not the main reason.
