Scott feels like an uncle who's supportive of your piercings but wants you to be smart and safe about it. Gives me warm, comforting vibes and I'm all for it
@@ninahauer350 you’ll hope so but a piercer just did a piercing on me and it’s a surface to surface & I just watch a couple videos that example why I shouldn’t get it . Smh
As a dental hygienist, I appreciate your warnings about the tongue piercing. Permanent damage to the teeth and gums result from piercings in and around the mouth, so you’re right that it’s not worth it. Also, it sounds like your mandible piercing may have been pressing against the incisive nerve that innervates your lower front teeth, so if left there, you potentially could have faced permanent nerve damage. Great video! Also that claymation was mint 👌
A year into having my tongue pierced I bit down in the metal ball and needed a root canal. That was the end of that piercing. I didn’t know that crowns needed to be replaced when I got the root canal. But I do now as I just had that done. So 20 years later it’s the gift that keeps in giving.
@@christopher-ne7pt plastic balls don't make a difference. It's still a hard surface banging against your teeth. The only difference it makes is that the plastic will crack in half if you bite down.
Not just the bacteria on the hand piercing, but also the fact that you use your hands for everything. You could so easily catch it in something and rip out the piercing 😖😖
I had a professor that had a knuckle piercing she said it never got infected just it could fall out at any time and she got it in college and it never fell out(this is 15 years later).
@@shoryacione5175 I know a guy who survived a failed parachute deployment in Afghan. Doesn't make jumping from AC130s without a chute "a good idea" though 😉🤣
@@kamiladawnmirzaev2217 I get being edgy or whatever but yes you are right the collar bone shocked me 10 piercings but nothing that fucked up honestly I prefer tattoos working on my sleeves, piercings are just cheaper is why I have so many
I've heard that getting a snake eye piercing can literally paralyze your tongue and end up killing you either by making you starve because your muscles have stopped working or I've also heard of septic shock with this one a lot
Major lingual nerves and arteries that connect to your carotid artery - can easily be damaged .You can bleed to death. Nerve damage can cause sever numbness- difficulty speaking and eating and loss of taste
I’ve had my snake eye piercing for almost 17 years now and I’ve never had not one issue with it. You did bite it in the beginning but once you get used to eating with it it’s fine. I’m not gonna lie I expected it to reject in less than a month after hearing everything people say about it. But here I am 17 years later and it’s still here just as nicely as it was when I got it done. No issues no problems.
@@alienorfrei6867 honestly that depends on where you live and what coverage you have. Some people don't have access to health care. Also I mentioned sepsis as a possible problem
@@moonlight_frost_3682 exactly what I was going to say. 👍 Nobody will be able to tell the difference anyway. Just go with a large(ish) plate to prevent yanking them out. Of all locations clients have had issues, upper chest (excluding sternum/neck) are the worst. One girl got her bag caught on a door handle and pulled 3 at once 😬 All with 5x8mm plates. Ouch!!!
I've had the snake eye piercing and will preach DON'T GET THIS PIERCING! I cracked 2 teeth on this stupid thing. It looks amazing but it's not worth your teeth
@@PiercingWithScott Same here. Been piercing for years but never know everything. Thanks for the content brother 👌 Learning and inspiration all rolled into one 🤘
Don't forget all the large vessels associated with some of these danger zone piercing areas. Hit one and you could bleed out in minutes or slowly leak blood and not wakeup the next day. Especially good chance with clavicle and mandibl, as well as tongue. 🖤 Thanks for putting it out there, man, and discouraging people from doing or getting these.
I love the look of the collarbone piercing, but I would much rather just get dermal anchors on each side to create the illusion of one. It seems pretty pointless to get a "real" one when you can achieve the same look with much less pain and danger.
I had an anti-eyebrow surface piercing for quite a few months, and when it didnt appear to be healing, i figured it was time to get it out. It was smack dab in the middle of covid when all shops where closed. I had to go to the emergency room and have it removed. I lucked out and the doctor who removed it happened to be a tattoo and piercing enthusiast/ex piercer. I have 2 little dot scars next to my eye, but my body said no! I had read about all the pros and cons about this particular piercing, how it can reject etc, and was willing to take the risks. But I would never keep a piercing it and try to fight against it. I absolutely love your informative videos and really hope some day i can travel out there and get a piercing!
completely agree on snake eyes. I’ve had this piercing now for a while and absolutely love it but every time I bite on things or eat certain foods I have to be cautious and chew slowly, which to some people may not even be worth it. I choose to keep this piercing simply because it’s a huge confidence booster for me but unless you’re desperate to get this piercing I definitely do not advice it as it’s so much work and you have to be extremely careful 24/7.
I think that the eye ball piercing is most dangerous as it could possibly cause blindness and it would hurt like HECK and imagine going to sleep at night SHEESH
I think you need to have more parts to this. There are more dangerous piercings or have a segment on the dangers of each piercing and how to have a good life with them
I love piercings don’t get me wrong be the collarbone one and the last one are so freaking dangerous, My God! How can people do this or get this , specially the collarbone one, because there’s an important artery that goes just behind! It could be life threatening if someone accidentally puncture it!
I remember reading about these piercings on BME 20 years ago when I was in high school. Didn't see the appeal of any of them then and don't see any appeal to them now.
You are so sympathetic. I love you 💖💖 good advices you give us, thank you. If i would one day go to LA, i will definitely get a piercing from you with all my trust.
Just came across one of your videos and now I can't stop watching all your other videos. Very informative and easy to understand :) Greetings from Germany
thank you for talking about the potential lung puncture piercing damage or even massive infection That can result and actually make you septic! With a collarbone piercing that should never be done ever! You can die from getting an infection that goes straight into your lungs and your bloodstream. So yes thank you for mentioning this!💯 And yes, anybody who does An eyelid piercing like that that just doesn't even make Anatomical sense because your scratching your cornea every single time you blink. So that should be an automatic license removal.
The ones I had in mind were the deep hand (crucifixion piercing) and achilles tendon (deep ankle piercing) as well as the collar bone, eyelid and mandible (although I had an interest in it myself). I also question something like a gum piercing and uvula piercings would be asking for trouble, my mother had to go to the hospital when her uvula started swelling and restricting her breathing, piercing it is the most sure way to cause dangerous swelling and I would imagine it is very hard to pierce it accurately, who is seeing your uvula anyway?
I recently wanted to get my surface tragus and my piercing artist informed me that is one she won't do. Because they are prone to rejection more often than not and just generally don't take very well. She is so informative and educated. Aside from my lobes I've had everything done from her. My left eyebrow and industrial, right nostril and right daith. I only have one lobe piercing on my right so she is going to do that for me but then I also want something higher up on the same side. I was thinking maybe a rook or conch. I'm not sure yet, but I'm just glad I have an artist who is informative, talented and know what she is doing 100% Hell, we are friends on Facebook because she is so cool.
I got a tat on my wrist on right hand and I'm right handed. You don't realize how much your wrist rubs against stuff. It took me forever to get it healed. When it did it had some scaring. I really want to try to get it repaired but I know it will more than likely do the same thing. So I can't imagine how susceptible a hand piercing can be.
Off topic, but I had my first off-ear piercing (my septum) and my pieced was amazing! I was a little worried although my friend recommended the place, but she sanitised it so well and it literally didn’t hurt at all! I’m so happy with the results :D Wanna get my eyebrow and lip done in the next couple years :)
i had a tounge piercing that got so infected....... remember the docs at the ER.... they were pretty nervous that they had to put me into surgery, but luckely some really heavy penicillin would do the trick...... THANK YOU SO MUCH..... I STILL GOT MY TOUNGE....... it toke almost 5 months before my tounge was back to normal again......... all this because the piercing shop didnt have proper cleaning and desinfektion of there tools, hands and hardware..... SO THANKS ALOT FOR ALOMOST DIZSABLING ME.....
I'm from Germany and very interested in piercings. I have 5 until now and want more. I learn more and more about my body and the piercings I have and the piercing I want. found this video and love it. Piercer should show more of this kind of stuff to educate and warn. Thank you.
I appreciate and respect your honesty sir. I have saved your video yo show some younger people wanting the "dangerous" piercings. Not many people would speak up ss to the dangers involved, sir again I totally respect your honesty and your caring enough to save another from possible danger. Thank you !!!!!!!
Thank you SO much! Great info and a public service, seriously. I had a piercing and tattoo studio for years. It's amazing that many times you can explain things to people and they just get angry because you won't do what they want! Just because you can doesn't mean you should! And I'm sure I don't have to tell you the horror stories about price-shoppers- those idiots who think they can get it done cheaper - or worse, by a friend - then have the sack to come back and show you some abomination they want you to do a "jewelry change" on. Yeah. No. I'm not touching that. "But what can I do??" "Well you can abort that and heal it up, then come and get it done correctly. But for now, I'm not touching it. You'll have to go back to your piercer." Argh! Another one there's a lot of misunderstanding about (and it never ceases to amaze me how many women know almost nothing about their own bodies) is the female genital commonly called "c*it". This is the first time I've seen you so probably you've covered this before. Anyway - although that can be pierced on some women, it is not of sufficient size on many so as to be pierceable. Usually, that's not really what they want anyway - they want the hood. And then there are the females who refer to anything in that general area as "my vag**a". They don't know the correct names for their body parts and literally have to point and show you what they want. Oy. Guess that's why I'm finally retired lol. Anyway- keep up the good work, mate!
I have heard about Snake Eyes being bad but didn’t know it was that dangerous! When I got mine done of course I had slurred speech in the beginning but it went away but no major problems at all, might chunk at the little balls but same as an original tongue piercing basically. I guess I got lucky with no bad affects I’ve been having them for about 4 years now.. but will stay clear from other dangerous ones in the future thanks for your videos dude! ✌️
I think another thing that makes the hand piercing so dangerous is even if it heals properly, all it takes is catching it on something once and you tear that piercing out. I've never had a hand piercing but your hands are used for everything. Even little snags here and there could open you up to infections. Idk sounds like a pain. I have enough problems breaking nails.
Massage Therapist here. The nerves for your arms run right along your collarbones. You really don’t want to loose feeling/function in your hands because of your fancy piercings.
I just discovered this channel now, while looking for tips on nipple itching and all of a sudden I am literally watching all your videos 😍. I love your Chanel
As an ophthalmic technician…that eyelid piercing is horrifying to me 😱 NOOO never put anything against your eyeball! People get infections from improper use of their contacts, let alone metal scraping your eye every time you blink or move your eye. Nuuuuuu 😩
I’ve had three of these piercings😭I no longer have any of these. For me, I replaced my snake eyes with 1 vertical and 2 scoops, and 2 frenulums , which has worked out for me personally, no tooth problems or slurred speech, never bit down on them, looks super cool.
I’m glad to have found you !!! I got a tragus piercing and I’m looking forward to getting the Anti-tragus really enjoy your videos really informative 👌🏼
I love the fact that you are soooo blunt about these dangerous piercings. OMG Just looking at some of these made me cringe. I love piercings, tats, dermals. I would have to be knocked out to get any of the ones u showed done except the hand. Hnnds and fingernails are soooo dirty tho. Thank you for your wisdom ❤
Clavicle piercing also has a HIGH risk of damaging the spinal nerve plexus that runs under the clavicle and controls the motor and sensory nerves to the arms, wrists and hands.
