I do agree about the Arc V duelisk because it has a system that can tell you did something wrong and if you join a duel without permission, you take 2000 damage. Also the duel disk is touch screen and easy to use then other duel disk.
I personally really liked Yusei's dual disk. It being a heavily modded Battle City model served to emphasize that he was just a broke guy who had to make do with using whatever old scrap he could scavenge. That always served to emphasize what an underdog he really is when he faced off against anyone with a modern duel disk in the series. I also find it worth mentioning that for the first twenty or so episodes of 5d's Jack Atlas was the only other person we saw who didn't use a standard duel disk but instead had what seemed to be a unique one that was more reminiscent of a Battle City era dual disk than a modern one. As if to subtlely hint that he hasn't left behind his past on the Satellite as much as he says.
1:Jadens Academy Duel DIsk (I honestly like how it has bubble designs and its sliding mechanics ) 2: Yuya's Plasma Duel Pad ( I like how it has a Ipad esque design and the board (you know the place where you put the cards when summoning) actually looks like controlled electricity) 3:Prince Atems DiahDank (The Wing Design is extremly creative and the idea of actually using actual life force is actually scary) 4:Yuma's DPad (I like the Ipad design and the nostalgiac board) 5: Yugi ( Its a little too simple... Nontheless I like it)
Actually the duel gazer is also a phone shown when Yuma duelled sparrow is episode 7-8. Just wanted to point that out. I get your point but everyone is the arena/city should be able to watch or take part in a duel without trouble
I really liked Jack's Duel disk from 5D's even though it would be weird to use at first being completely irregular from the OG BC and GX duel disks (cards are laid above the arm not infront). It was interesting as it had the idea of being the left half of his motorbike with the idea of it working as a ground based duel disk without the wrist-deck arm bracer thing i think a upgraded version of jacks duel disk with the touch pad design added where the normal card zone is would be awesome.
After watching this one, I sort of got my own Duel Disk idea: The form & apparent use as a laptop in school of Zexal Disk, the part about phone & News/Info like Arc V, the multiple colors available like the GX Disk, & the way it unfolds into Duel Mode like the Chaos Disks used by Dartz & his subordinates
If you ask me, the Zexal ARVL (Augmented Reality Vision Link) system is one of the best, considering that it's very adaptable as seen how humans, Barians, Astral beings, and even card spirits have the ability to use it in a duel.
+TGS Anime the duel pad/gazer seems to me like the Bluetooth/wireless headphones of the Yugioh universe, a nice utility but the constant pairing grates after a while
Yuya’s disk needs to be in a solid projection machine zone to play it. Like in ep.1 they showed a machine making the solid vision and if it breaks you can’t dual
So you like their duel disks based on what they do when they aren't a duel disk. That's like liking a couch because it's seats are more comfy then a cars 😶 Personally I like the original it's got what you need and I like the style
i like zexal's duel disk, if a super-high tech duel disk would actually come out, i feel like zexal's design would be the most realistic out of every design.
I think the Zexal duel disk is the most realistic since it's so compact. Since the Duel gazer is used the duel disk no longer has to project holograms which means it can be greatly shrunken down.
I know this was a video on protagonist duel disks but if I had to choose an anime duel disk to use irl I'd go with crowlers duel vest thing. Coolest duel disk ever and I wish Jaden earned one in season 4
well you can't blame yuse for his duel disk not looking good he lived in the satellite ( the poor section) part of new domino where it is illegal for them to have duel disks and own cards so duelists would build there own out of whatever parts they could find.
Considering that in the manga the original Duel Disk doesnt have those bladed projector things ( holograms are projected straight from the disk) So with that could it rank higher?
Honestly, i'm not a fan of the Zexal or Arc V Duel Disks, I prefer the more solid Duel Disks in the original and GX Can't speak for 5Ds though, haven't seen that in years
TGS: the holograms from the duel disks may go haywire and hit someone Kaiba watching this: What was that?!!!!!!!!! TGS: Um...I was talking about yugi's duel disk's...... Kaiba: Oh, Yugi? Nevermind
Same. When they made the GX duel disks in real life, they were the first ones that could fit cards with sleeves, so if you use it you don't have to worry about your cards being ruined.
I had the original YGO duel disk that opened dangerous af lol I gave it to a cousin a few years back and just recently checked the price of it :/ Paid like 15 euro 10 years ago, On Ebay it's listed well above 100 euro :/ Still have the GX Duel Disk though, It's okish
WAIT, so the duel disks in ZEXAL can't project solid vision, but the ones from 3 generations ago can. Wouldn't that be a downgrade compare to ALL the duel disks.
Maybe they wanted it to be more... private? :D Like when you cross the street you will see.... Obelisk over the Cafee, or Slifer on High Building... lol. Also that way its convented to be private, so you can choose whom you want to share the duel (you know... cheaters and haters everywhere...) plus more flexible. Also the downgrade is, they have to have ID or something to connect and wear THESE STRANGE scanners xD Holograms can distract people (or scared us to death..) from their daily too but as Seto said... SCREW THE PEOPLE ... MONEY HAVE ME!
I'm definitely the Yugioh equivalent of a GeeWunner when I say this, but I think the original design was always the best aesthetically. Despite how impractical the mechanics were of having it swing around so much, that was the part that I always thought was what made it interesting. The GX design of fewer moving parts made it so visually boring to me when it sort of slightly extends and then the 2 zones pop out. Let children fire expensive hologram projectors at each other and swing possibly sharp metal/plastic pieces around! Though I dunno if they were still firing projectors later in the series, but maybe I just don't remember them on the ground.
Also with the others you yust carrying around with you this huge apparatus wich has no other funcction than being used in a Childrens card game while the D-pad and the first place have evryday functions and are also lighter wich doasn't make them essencially useles as a death weight to carrye around with you.
I have no official opinions on the duel discs except the playing a children's card game on motorcycle is kinda sill. I do however like the multi purpose, and more stream line look of later duel discs. Though to me adding the cell phone function is sorta strange. I'll have to watch the other seasons I guess
+Liam Oppress I hate Arc V. I hate most of everything that has to do with it. I hate their duel disk, I do like the title though, Arc V is a cool sounding name for such a shitty show. I hate the main character's name. I hate his deck, which is some how the best deck in real life or at least the real life deck is based of his deck.
