All great points, and particularly since you guys work in and around the valley but the problem is the valley gets unbearably hot, temperatures cross 100 F, which is extremely uncomfortable, I guess thats the biggest problem with the valley, the weather, The 2nd thing is that valley cities like say Burbank and Glendale are like very small, congested because they're heavily populated, the roads, malls, shops are all smaller and like sometimes give you the feeling of being overcrowded. Having said that the valley is much cheaper as far as real estate goes and gives you the best value for the money, but I'm sure you'll agree that if someone doesnt work in the valley and can afford it, it's much better to live on the west coast or South Bay.
It does get HOT! That was a huge adjustment for me coming from West Los Angeles. I agree it is congested in The Valley, but it's less congested than most parts of LA. If the cost of housing wasn't a factor, I would choose to live in the Palisades with an ocean view!
You down sized to the valley. It took me years to down size to a small, UNDER the radar kind of a town, which wasn't easy. LA is seriously HUMPTY DUMPTY BROKEN.
