Hi Rachana, do you suggest buying a long term or short term insurance. In long term the amount is huge in one shot, but they provide some “discounts” From an investor’s point of view are we really saving enough? Considering all the angles like future price increase of the premium after one year and the amount spent could draw more interest if invested else where which could outperform the save from the discount

Health Insurance is must but don't promote web aggregators such as Policy Bazaar . It's just there to mislead in order to sale insurance policy. Better one can have a look for comparison but took policy directly from the company with out any brokers & aggregators.

Thx Rachna mam for doing this video. Please find the situation which i have observed in recent days. 1 Now a days hospitals are not accepting cash less treatments . Even though they are part of network list. 2 if we choose getting treated first and submit the documents later, Now a days insurance company's are not giving full amount which we have spent They are delaying the payments stating that they are running with less people and they keep asking the customers to bring documents which hospitals won't give. The problem in the current situation is if insurance company ask few documents which are related to treatment why can't they ask the hospitals directly and get those required one withou disturbing the patients
As a customer of insurance my suggestion is to follow these steps 1) yes, covid 19, even its included some companies even rejecting claims and no cashless 2) Some exclusions like b.p, sugar, thyroid, previous surgery, etc should be disclosed to insurance companies or policy may not cover 3)Waiting time, PED , SA, caps, etc are big hurdles for customers for 3 to 5lac policies ,,,better to go 10lac above. Policy should be more than 4yrs old to claim 100% as per insurance terms and even every surgery is not included in insurance list. 4) some hospitals are not in network of insurance 5) some are not documented properly, claim form fill up, bills certification, order of submission , authentication by hospitals, originals GST bill, scan should be in original.

Mayank, generally it doesn't happen, might happen in some cases. The reason is, when a person gets hospitalised, hospital takes approval from insurance company regarding treatment. You can take help of agent or insurance company tollfree number by claim intimation.
Mayank, yes there is a possibility is many hospitals are doing due to many people are not making payments & insurance companies are taking time to make payments to hospitals. Some hospitals are I have heard are asking advance payments from patients. In normal circumstances you can chooses to plan which hospital the treatment can be done after consulting the doctor, as he arranged everything. In emergency we don't have much choices.

Thanks for the video. It is immensely helpful. After this video, I was going through a company's health insurance terms and conditions. There was a term called "Lock the clock". Under this if an individual takes a premium let's say at the age of 24 and continuously renews it (he has to pay the premium of the time of booking) and let's say due to health condition he has to use it at the age of 54. Then after using it the afterwards premium will be of current age slab at each renewal. Does every insurance policy have this term (this one is the case with Niva Bhupa)? Can anyone shed more light into this term and condition?

Nice video.. please help me. I requested a claim from Manipal cigna health insurance on March 2021. Still they have not processed any claim, they are asking numerous documents, I have already submitted, bill, detail bill, discharge papers, undertaking of the doctor, admit slip. Now they are asking for the first treatment document. I guess they just want to harass us to give up the claim. Can you suggest any legal process to complain against manipal cigna?

Mam, my mom have health insurance. She was recently hospitalized and received the bill of amount 4 lakhs as cashless treatment. Do my my need to treat this 4 lakhs as her income or not? Please don't advice for insurance, because after paying the premium for three four years and for an emergency time they will reject the claims for silly reason.. that is the final outcome of every so called insurers, put that premium for a mutual fund sip, atleast it will work out for certain extent

Rachana mam your video is excellent but the point you said that no claim bonus i think you should check cause as per my knowledge if there is no claim than in next year your sum assured is increased . there will be no deduction in premium it will be the same as per the age bar.
Ma'am for my mother issue at the age of 65 maximum company has co pay system. One more thing some companies have high claim settlement ratio more than 100% in govt mediclaim organizations. Is that good for go with them because they charges a lot of premium. According to nearby networks hospital and facilities I have a plan of Star Health Comprehensive Plan copay 10% for my parents separately with a super top up plan and I have a plan from New India Assurance. Please suggest me the planing for my family is ok or should I review it again.
