I got me one back in 2014 and still driving it in 2022 today and it has save me a bunch of money and I don’t spare no expenses to getting it fixed when it brakes down it’s a 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray with chrome bullit deep dish wheels and staggered Mickey Thompson tires and wheels and I will never sell it and I always improve on it
I’m beyond happy that you got her man. Hearing the way you talk about the car and how excited you are brings a smile to my face man. I miss it every day but I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. Glad she’s been reliable for you buddy. Much love man, keep ‘em coming with the updates
To answer your question, first thing any mustang owner should do is the suspension. The ride height is ridiculous looking in stock form. After that, the exhaust for sure.
Good video Carlos, just subscribed. I think your reasons for why New Edge Mustangs are a great buy, were on point. I bought my first new edge about a year and a half ago, an '02 GT, something I've wanted since I was about 20 years old, and I'm 35 now. Its been everything I've hoped for and more, because now it's a 20 year old car, and becoming a classic. The new edge Stang's will never die! I get a compliment on my stang at least once a week. It did take about a year and half to find a clean one, that was hard top, and manual with fairly low mileage within my budget, but I found her, and she's been a dream come true! These cars are true American muscle, with all it's pure and simple glory. Every morning I drive to work is pure joy. Although my dream car is an '04 Terminator Cobra, I still want another 01 or 02 GT, because these cars won't be this affordable for very much longer. You're probably about my age, and the younger generation sees and hears our mean looking and sounding new edges, and they want one too. 🍻💪👍💯
Love it! Actually looking into 03 04 terminators before they skyrocket in price even more… But honestly can’t go wrong with any new edge, crazy how much people still love these cars even though they are now “outdated”
So damn I’m pretty lucky being able to get one at 20. 70000 miles 5 speed convertible v8 2002 with no wear anywhere in the interior or anything. Absolutely nothing missing/wrong with the car. Been garage kept it’s whole life.
Nice video! I can totally relate to you in this one. When I bought my first stick shift car, I needed my friend to drive the car off the dealer because I didn’t know how to drive stick shift.😂 It only took a few days of practice and I was burning rubber all over!!
@@cobracarlos by any chance have you gone through a steady ticking noise from left side of engine it seems common for the 4v i was wondering if the 2v get it
That ticking is a small gasket leak where the exhaust manifold meets the head. A real b!tch to change, but if you can deal with the sound, leave it be. It won't hurt anything.
I just bought my first mustang. Im 49, bought a mint 01 Bullitt in DHG, #3776. Borla Atak exhaust, long list of new performance parts. I have 400,000 on a 4.6 2v in a 06 p71 crown vic and couldn't be happier getting this cherry 01 bullitt with 84,000 on the odometer. The 5 speed and the borla atak sound epic with the 2v🥰🤗
I bought a 2001 GT with a lot of upgrades and mods in Dec 2020...i paid $5,000...and I think I did great...because of what i said...whole susp...exhaust, drivetrain and wheels and tires i think it was more than that...also i did 4:10 gears and dyno tune...I love everything about that car...also...they are going up in value...that's reason #6...✌️😎😅 good video...keep it up!
If music is a big deal to anybody and likes these mustangs. Get the Mach 460 Sound system upgrade in it. I’ve got a 2000 GT with the 460 Mach system and it still sounds absolutely amazing to this day in fact, I’d say it beats a lot of cheap to mid range new car sound systems! The Mach 1000 system is by far the best in these cars and is also pretty rare to find snag them if you do find one.
I'm picking up a 2004 v6 tomorrow, my first mustang. It's an automatic and won't shift from 2nd to 3rd, but it's also $900 and has 150k miles. No other issues either. Excited to join the club! Hoping it just needs a fluid change and/or a solenoid.
had a 2015 mustang for 4 years sold it and now i just bought 04 new edge mustang because i like the look of it since i was a kid so its kinda nostalgic and also i want a car that i can learn how to mod and configure easily so the new edge it is
@@cobracarlos my first was an all stock '03 GT Centennial 5 speed with the Mach 1000 system, and now I have an '01 Cobra coupe black on parchment with fully built suspension, mach 1 lip and terminator rocker mouldings. If I could have any NewEdge, I'd have a '00 Cobra R, but my '01 makes me happy.
Hey Carlos i drive without listening to the music too, kinda cool you own a mach-E yet still wanted the simple old school muscle car experience im looking up those seats as i type take care and keep posting.
Hey man. These cars are not exactly the best manual cars to learn stick on man. I’m very impressed with your driving so early after learning. Go drive something like a 350z and you’ll be like my god my car is not easy to drive lol. Even though they’re very similar in speed and power, sn95 mustangs with a heavy clutch is a completely different experience. The fact that you learned on this clutch is wild man. You’re doing very well.
My first car I learned stick was a 98 gt and I had a brand new racing clutch in it and I can second that it’s a crazy workout but after that you can drive with any clutch no problem my great uncle just gave me his stock 99 gt to add to my collection so I just been watching vids on new edges
Try to avoid going into first from a roll like that though because these cars chew up throw out bearings and pivot studs and clutch forks. If you baby the tranny a bit and always rev match it helps a lot.
Liked and subscribed for not skipping leg day 👌🏻 Also my first mod would be save and put a KB 2.1 SC on then, brakes, then suspension like others said.
You'd be surprised the beating they take, mines blew a headgasket a while back, and ever since I have been beating the living shit out of it. I'm talking 3k rpm clutch drop at EVERY SINGLE SINGLE Stop sign. Burnouts almost every other day. I'm literally TRYING to blow the engine AND IT WON'T. I literally hold it for like 3 seconds at 6k rpm before shifting. Guys the engine is already fucked and the chassis has frame damage(from previous owner) so at this point im just waiting to junk the car and enjoy it's last days on the road. Just proving HOW MUCH they can take. It's ridiculous, i'm definitely buying another one.
Analog comuter car I drive my 4.6 Gt 135 miles a day round trip very reliable and it's quick .it won't beat a corvette or hellcat but it's faster than most cars on the street today
I’m not super mechanically inclined either, I would recommend taking it to a mechanic shop to get it inspected before the purchase, they will look through it and point out anything that is wrong with the car, that is what I did
Nice stang bro. I got a 2000 gt. Can you please send me the actual model number for those tmi seats. Really digging them. I'd really appreciate it bro. Thanks
Out of curiosity, are there any error codes relating to vacuum leaks popping up? Because my '04 Mustang GT randomly decides to throw a p1450 error code out of nowhere, and sometimes the error code simply just goes out while I'm driving. Just wondering if it's only me having this issue. Love the car btw!
If it's a manual, then check the clutch pedal. There is a switch there that won't allow the car to start unless the clutch is depressed. The ticking is commonly a slight gasket leak where the exhaust bolts to the head. Not an issue if you can put up with the noise.
Either generation is solid, I would say it’s more preference, and looks, the 3v is a little faster but not that big of a difference honestly compared to something like the coyote engine.
@@mustangaddict589 not even close man watch four eyes on what he did for 400hp NA he had to do fully ported heads cams and a stroker kit and ford modular parts are not cheap at all
@@chrishansen7004 no he admitted that stroking his block did zero benefit with his Detroit rocker cams an bolt ons alone he was at 370 I believe. N/a all I’m saying with 3v you’ll hit closer to 400 n/a than a 2v n/a full bolt on 290ish max I’ve seen maybe a set of Todd cams you’ll hit little over 300.
i just recently bought a new edge. i’m not sure if i should keep it or get rid of it to try to get the gt model. right now i have the base manual and i’m not sure if i want to put the money into it
Lol was gonna subscribe but anyone who owns a mach e is NOT a mustang enthusiast. The mach e is NOT a mustang and those who support it have no idea what a mustang is.
They came with the car, only thing I’ve actually added is the Saleen spoiler, everything else was already on there, they are great though loads of traction
@@MostWanted2v Toyo r888 in the front nitto nt05 in the back, not sure why they went with two different tire companies for front and back, but if you go with the nittos BE CAREFUL IN THE RAIN it can get sketchy 😂
Hello ma' man. This is the second time i watch a video from you, and i really like your personality and your point of views. I just subscribed to see more vids in the future of your badass stang. Do you have an instagram?
