Bought a 04 GT 5spd yesterday (my first mustang) and drove it 4hours home from Pensacola to Baton Rouge and got 24mpg with 3.73 gears, custom cai, bbk 75mm tb, headers, full exhaust, stage 2 clutch, short throw shifter, & dyno tuned by Pan Handle Performance
2004 40 anniversary gt mustang 5 speed competition orange with 100k miles on it just bought it 2 days ago it’s my first manual car thanks for the video man 👌🏾💯🔥
If you’re ballin on a budget, I think the pypes catback is a great option for under $500. I have stingers and my buddy has pypes and they’re honestly not that different in terms of sound
Tires are overlook but the right tires can totally change how the car handles, take off and smoothness of the ride....gears and tires will make your car ride like a different beast. I had a v6 firebird back in the day and i put wider sport tires all the way around and when cornering at speed the rear ind may swing out but the wider tires pulls the tail end back in line greatly
Subbed up very knowledgeable about mustangs I like that especially being I have one also and trying to upgrade as much as I can you are spot on with this video appreciate your work bruh!
Hey bro, I love your car and your videos, I’m picking up a white 04 gt myself next week and there’s not many new edge performance channels out there. So I appreciate your time and effort making these. However, I’d like to offer some constructive criticism…Please cut back on all the extra talking in the start of the videos and between main parts of the video. Many times recently I’ve been trying to show part of one of your videos to someone, but it’s hard to find the exact part because the majority of the video will be you talking about something facing the camera. Often times you get talking about a part and your passion really kicks in and you spend a little too much time on each component lol. Don’t take this the wrong way, you’re doing a great job and a service for us essentially. But your viewership and number of subscribers will increase if you make the videos more short and concise or more focused on the actual car if it has to be long. Making a script or at least an outline of your talking points will help you get your point across faster without having to think on the spot or repeat yourself. This will grab viewers’ attention sooner and hold it for longer. Also get some B roll footage for when you are going to be just talking. Like slow closeup shots of the supercharger and other engine components, the wheels, interior, etc. Watch some channels with hundreds of thousands or millions of subs and note how they use b roll footage to keep people interested while they’re just talking. These things will really advance your channel and please don’t take this offensively. Keep up the good work!
@@angelesrojas5146 I love it. Mine doesn’t have cats and is very loud. Sounds amazing but being so loud with a manual trans, it can be obnoxious lol. Might get a catted H/X pipe to replace the catless H pipe in it now.
I have been considering doing a coyote swap for my 02 GT but I'm going to go cheap for now and buy the 3.73 gear upgrade and lowering kit and subframe connectors, And do the coyote swap when the 2V dies. I thought about replacing the K member with the tubular aftermarket one because it'll be necessary for the coyote swap and it's suppose to be lighter than the OEM. I have other plans but they'll be done over time. I don't care much for turning my GT into a noise maker and having the neighbors come after me with pitchforks. Another youtuber suggested replacing the cams. You can get into a lot of money doing these upgrades.
I personally would look up videos on the power limits of a boosted 4.6 engine, the 2v, 3v, & 4v can easily handle 1300+ horsepower with a forged block and internals, the price to do that is comparable to the price of a stock Gen 3 Coyote, and you're making comparable power to a built and sleeved Gen 3, which is insane. You really only NEED to Coyote swap if you just genuinely prefer the sound that much, or if you're planning on making over 1500 horsepower to the wheel
just copped a beautiful standard '96 mustang gt conv with a cervinis bodykit for my first big boy toy. Got it stored for the salty winter but will be on jacks until it's time to rip in the spring. Going to do the cams, exhaust, rear gears and full service and thinking of swapping the chrome rims to murder it.
Just bought a 04 black mustang due to needed a whip for work, it’s the V6 it is straight pipped but I’m looking to do engine work soon. Wish it was the 4.7
Best money spent is to rear gear the differential. I had a 90 GT automatic with 2:90 rear end and I changed it out to World Class T-5 five speed and 3:55 and bam!!…….what a difference. If I had it to do over I would have upped it a notch to 3:73 rear gears. Also spend the money and get an under hood triangular brace which stiffens the strut towers to the firewall AND have subframe connectors welded in……these Mustangs are old guys and the years of chassis flexing has crippled the handling capabilities.
I have a 2006 lincoln Town car 4.6 2v. My drive shaft is a lot longer than the Mustang. Someone on here was telling me that having 4.10 gears on a town car is like having 3.73 gears on a Mustang. What would be your take on that. I was also planning on upgrading my timing chain ⛓️. But since once I'm there, I'd figured might as well and upgrade to an eltric water pump and some stage 2 cams and some better oil pump gears. Any thoughts

But I'm 410 gears is only effective on the launch if you don't increase the traction to match you're going to waste first and second gear spinning tires and lose shuron and the span of the first and second gear I'm not gain much after launch affecting the powerband kicking it at a lower speed I'm shorter span on the lower
Your exactly what I was looking for bro! Just purchased a v6 mustang and trying to learn. What gears should I change to? Also what exhaust system for my v6?
@@EarsPOV can’t spend the money right now. Not looking for extreme fast . Just little things like cold air intake, any little thing that would increase horsepower. Thks
I just got fired currently searching for s coding job just saving up for a 1999 ford mustang gt i found one for 4990$ and its 160k mileage its fine if this last 10k miles in not buying it for me
@@angelgjr1999 alright thanks also, I guess I’ve been talked down of buying one as a first time car. I’m by the Chicago area so I do get snow yearly. If you get snow have you had any problems? Or what would your opinion be?
After trying every mod on my 02gt.. and really not gaining anything.. my advice.. Forced induction.. Vortech V3 .. don’t waste ur money on any of the mods this kids mentioned.. honestly!
Tbh I got a 99 mustang spent more than 15k$ on it so far.. I can tell you better ways to spend 4k$ or even 1k$ on these cars and get more for your buck just from personal expierence… good video and good ideas but it won’t yield the results yall are truly looking for other than having a car that looks like every other stang that’s on the internet.
