The Endorphin Speed 4 have been my favourite. In their first 33 miles I've used them to knock nearly 2 mins off my 10k and 2x 5k pbs, taking that down by almost a minute.
So far. The shoe I’ve logged the most miles in is the Saucony Ride 17. The shoe I’ve had the most fun in is the Mizuno Neo Vista and the shoe I keep coming back to for a dependable marathon long workout shoe is the Adios Pro 3
Great video Andy, my top picks this year would be, in reverse order, On Cloud Eclipse, Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, Asics Superblast (bought in 2024), Nike Alphafly 3 and Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris
I’ve been running almost exclusively in the Mach 6 for the last 8 weeks. Some of the best shoes I’ve ever run in. I’ve ordered a pair of Gel Nimbus 26 for a rotation so I can do some slow easy runs because it’s just too tempting to run hard and fast in the Mach 6 😂
I have done over 300 km in my Adidas Adizero Pro 3, and have done all my long marathon training runs in them…I really love them, and considering buying a pair more before the version 4 arrives. - I know it’s a racing shoe, but they just work for me, and they are really durable too.
Keen to try the Pumas for sure! The mizuno wont be in my size sadly as they never are and the adidas i'd like to as well but checked this morning and none in my size on their website
@@TheFODRunner can see 2 colours of the SL2 in "our" UK 13.5 on adidas UK. Sports Shoes & Start Fitness both seem to be offering a UK 13 in the Neo Vista. Not sure about gettinf the Mizuno but the SL2 is good for the price for sure.
Useful stuff mate. I’m at one of those stages where a couple in my rotation are desperately needing to be replaced! My Mach 5s, Superblast and Streakflys all have over 800k in them 😅😅💸💸
Good overview, thanks Andy. Just as a matter of interest, and now you have the wisdom of quite a bit of hindsight - where would you now place your beloved Hyperion Max in this list? Looking forward to your verdict - cheers.
Interesting to hear what you say after more time with Saucony Endorphine Elite. I wait for my shoes, ordered Saturday. I also have Saucony Triumph 21 and Saucony Kinvara 14. (if my English is bad, I am Swedish runner...😉)
I tried the Mach 4. It was not very responsive/did not give much back so to speak...an easy run only shoe for me, and I have put very few miles on them. I have not run in any of the other newer Mach series. I tried on a pair of the Mach 6's Saturday, and they did seem to have some bounce to them, but I did not buy them. I also have to go 1/2 size larger in the Mach series shoes.
still on the same rotation as I was around xmas so can't really report anything , some are coming to end of life (300/400miles) and getting ready for shipping to Salvation army, I am going visit the local running store at the end of the month and try the neo vista but saving my pennies now for a new rotation for the second half of the year
Are you going to be testing the Adizero SL 2? Interested to hear your thoughts compared to the Ride 17, I just made the change from the Ride to the SL 2 and I've been enjoying it
Great video. Just a question, which one between mach 6 and endorphin speed 4 recommend for a 10 km race. I know there are other shoes but I am interested in these ones. Thanks 😊
@@TheFODRunner I've just run home from work, 18k, and I think my Superblast have finally gone. They made it to 920k and I thought they might last until the 2's appeared but alas not. Quandary now. 2 and a bit weeks until they arrive so can I eke out a bit more of my other old ones?!
@@TheFODRunner they've been loyal companions on many a long run, I should have picked up a pair when in the States but talked myself out of it! But now I can't quite get a lockdown any more and the midsole feels done.
@@TheFODRunner I weighed myself for the first time in 2 years on Friday. Turns out, I'm only 198 lbs. Man I thought I had a lot more work to do. Pimp Size here I come. Thanks for the advice.
