Are they literally _that_ bad that they just forget?! Ok sorry that's sounds mean but ,, I mean come on lol you're on a shiny hunt or aware of it and don't have that 1 crucial feature at the ready? I know there are certain situations that are difficult like a multi-battle or where you're targeted but none as of I saw on here.
@@netweed09 the worst part is that their fans would probably pay to have a shiny caught by their favorite streamer. Forgetting to save literally cost them money, sometimes
@@chickennuggetyt62 Nah, it's cool. The issue is some of them stream those so it's revealed to everyone and when it's that exposed it doesn't look too great. Sure you can fail it if you're playing casually but it's best not to put stuff like that up on video at all (not @ you - just in general).
Look Mom I made it!!! Thanks for including me aDrive and much love to everyone included. Hopefully we can all redeem ourselves one day! And thanks you for pronouncing my name correctly 😁
@@kips8156 definitely gonna be ready for next time and I’ll reclaim it 🙂 And thank you! My name came from my girlfriend and my profile picture was made by my buddy BlueBandanaJake. He has really good drawings on his twitter and animations on his RU-vid 🙂
I actually found a random shiny Rhyhorn in a mass outbreak last night. It was also the second one to spawn, so the sore throat afterwards was worth it.
Unless you're in an outbreak, don't save when seeing a shiny I've failed shinies that way 👀 it's rare but happens. If you've saved at camp you just go back and find it again. I realized I commented this wrong somehow lol. But congrats on the shiny Rhyhorn I guess xD. Great shiny btw!
It might be hard to fail a shiny if you are specifically hunting an outbreak, but random overworld shinies and especailly distortion shinies that you aren't expecting can easily fail if they catch you offguard and you panic. Especially pokémon like eevee, teddiursa, basculin and ones that are prone to just fleeing the second they see you.
Nope. this entire series shouldn't exist for this game. All you have to do is save immediately after hearing the sound and you will never fail. Just reload the save.
@@ToSP. That is a pretty dumb excuse. Just because you're excited you can't stop moving? pause the game? not run at the pokemon? chuck rocks at it? Stay hiding in grass? failing because you can't pause a game shouldn't be called a failure, it's more on the line of just being dumb. (as long as you know about the save mechanic. If you didn't know you can save beforehand and learn after you fail then that's alright. But it better not happen twice)
@@Hephaestus_God wrong, space distortion can’t be saved and Pokémon despawn if nit caught fast enough, I failed a shiney but saved before I failed, reloaded and distortion is gone
I was doing a togepi outbreak and I finally got the shiny so I instantly saved incase it ran away (it ran away) so I closed the game and and went back in and all the togepi were gone and it gave me the “the reported Pokémon seems to be gone” badge , still confused on how this happened
@@washkilla Yeah if you save in the middle of doing an outbreak it can fuck up sometimes. Ya always wanna just save right before catching or killing anything from the outbreak, the same set of Pokémon will spawn each time so just do the exact same catching/killing that you did to get to the Shiny the first time and you should be good
So I found a shiny alpha in an outbreak and I immediately saved (I was dumb I know). If I restart does the shiny alpha still be there or it will be gone?
I love these videos because it’s also a great way to tech people what not to do😂 turns out pitching regular pokeballs at a distance of three feet from your target isn’t the best idea. It seems people also forgot about the auto-focus hehe
My only fail so far was before we learned the information of not saving once you find a shiny in an outbreak, I saved immediately when I saw a shiny goomy and when I reset the outbreak ended
I had such a bad shiny fail in arceus, I went to those space time distortion and a shiny rapidash spawned right in front of me and then it said “the space time distortion has faded” I cried for days.
THIS IS WHY YOU SAVE CONSTANTLY IN THIS GAME I would've failed a shiny Geodude tonight if I hadn't saved 30 seconds prior That shiny Octillery obliteration was tough to watch
@@06twar u never want to save infront of shiny in an outbreak if your going to the outbreak save away from it, the pokemon u encounter are already determined so the SAME EXACT shiny will comeback if u repeat the same exact steps u take. its recommend to never battle them and just catch them
REMINDER: You CANNOT save mid outbreak, there are multiple circumstances where doing so and resetting will not reload the same pokemon when reloading game. For OUTBREAKS save AT CAMP before approaching the outbreak
I lost a shiny Kriketot this way as well! Saved in the middle of the outbreak as soon as it popped up, it ran away and I reset only to find no shiny... sad day
I don't get this. I have around 30 shinies and have failed about 10 on the first to try reset my game and they were still there. I believe you but I don't know what thats about.
@@ianpeasley7254 i think it has something to do with the amount of pokemon that can still spawn in the outbreak, i think that if you get down to the last 4~3 mons it'll vanish when you reload. But it can have something to do with pokemon that can flee too, as i almost lost a shiny petilil this way
@@ianpeasley7254 yeah honestly not too sure could have been my error lol but it only happened once to me and it was towards the end of the outbreak. Now I save at base camp
Wait really? I've never heard of this? Does it send you to the save BEFORE your actual most recent save? is this a pokémon thing or a switch game thing universally? Edit: Holy crap I just tested this and it worked.. I had absoloutely no idea that this existed. Thank you so much! I have paused mid-outbreak before and accidentaly hit save when trying to come back out the menu, this trick would have totally saved me from losing various outbreaks.
About 2ish hours ago, I was searching for a shiny golduck in a mass outbreak in the southern portion of the Obsidian Fieldlands, and the alpha Lopunny near the outbreak was shiny. I saved and caught it. That was my first alpha shiny I ever got.
Ikr? If you're doing mass outbreaks saving everytime you go back to camp is key, I don't understand how people are failing shinies when is so easy to prevent fails in this game
@@cyber2cyke Idk if you've heard about this before since a lot of people in shiny guides keep saying the same thing about saving not working, but saving shinies doesn't work in space time distortions it only works for shinies you encounter literally anywhere else tho
i think the only real fail may have been the Octillary if the other ppl had autosaves and caught a pokemon before encountering the shiny or the outbreakers saved before going to the outbreak but if they had their autosaves on yeah thats over lol
Thanks for using my clip :') In my defence, this was the day the game came out and I now save whenever I find a shiny and have more than a full box of shinies since this :)
it is SUPER hype. got the same with a Shinx. love it, just that I don't need FOUR OF THEM! two random encounters, one later that night and another like 2 days later
Overworld shinies = save the game so you don't lose the shiny Outbreak shinies = make sure you save the game by professor before heading to the outbreak Distortion = pray for dear luck! And always engage in battle against shiny's!
Thank you for putting my clip in the video! hopefully next time my audio recording doesn't corrupt. I was dying laughing the whole time trying not to get hyper beamed. I had no idea they could turn while firing.
I don't remember if I commented this before (probably did), but I was at the point in the game where you had to get Dusclops. While waiting for nighttime, I encountered a full odds shiny Chatot. It caught me by surprise so much, I didn't believe what I was seeing. I had avoided any type of media of Legends Arceus at this time, so I had assumed it was like all the others and you couldn't save to well, save the shiny. I tried inspected the Chatot and it fled. Big whoop.
4:42 It might seem one of the worst and most rookie fails ever - but, I actually think She's really lucky! She got to see a Shiny, a Gold one, see it do easily one of the best moves in any Pokémon game (the wonderful sound so true to the gen1 original, it's scary!) yet, it's one of the absolute worst Pokémon to exist!! So; spectacle and fame achieved and true bullet avoided! Win win!!
Last night I was outbreak hunting sligoo, I was being targeted by a graveler so I used braviary to get away, and when I came back there was a shiny. I was so hyped and rushed in, but it ran away. I fumbled over the controls and accidentally saved. I was devastated. When I went back in I was facing the wall. I thought the outbreak has disappeared. When loaded back in this morning I realized that the outbreak didn’t disappear I was just not looking in the right direction. I was so relieved. I started hunting again and got it. It’s named redemption and is now a goodra
Gotta love the heavy balls in that game, they're the mvp for capture in the middle of fights. Snatched alphas with their best versions with their best versions without depleting their hps
Remember the 3 important rules of playing this game 1. If u have auto save off. ALWAYS SAVE when you enter a area. Especially when u do outbreak hunting or find one in the wild by chance. If you fail you can trace back to it to try again so long as you saved BEFORE you seen it. 2. Always check every pokemon when your roaming around or waiting for a space distortion. There could be one and finding one is a good past time to wait for a distortion. 3. Most important of all. Distortions can NOT be reseted or saved. So keep any pokemon you see in them with utmost focus. And if it's about to end, battle it before it ends. Trust me, I got my shiny alpha electabuzz by luck when it nearly went away when it was over-.-
I’m here because I recently failed a shiny Turtwig that was in a massive mass outbreak of turtwigs and it was too late for me to save because I was panicking and my reflexes were becoming inaccurate with my buttons. I wanted to watch other people fail shinies so I know I’m not the only one who is going through the five stages of grief
ive got 7 shinys right now (if you count the quest ponyta) blissey, lucario, ursaluna, vaporeon, golduck, and ninetales blissey, ninetales, ursaluna and lucario were outbreaks vaporeon was an eevee i found in a distorion and golduck was psyduck, a full odds shiny
I will never understand people who just run into outbreaks and start tossing poke balls at everything not even trying to hide. That's an excellent way to lose a shiny.
I remember I almost failed a shiny Hisuian Basculin because I was in the middle of the air when it spawned and saw me so I wasn't allowed to save, and I was fumbling with the buttons because I didn't have the muscle memory of knowing where the menu is, but I managed to save right before it fled so after a few resets I caught it
Can I just say thank ya kindly for the awesome content my good sir! These montages got me to hunt for my first shiny. Took two hours cuz my research lvl was 3 but zorua finally shined. I believe I'm addicted to the hunt now.
I learned with a failed shiny turtwig if you save when you enter an area and just reset as long as you dont leave the area you can retry and the shiny will always show up.
Wish I was recording. My first shiny was a Distortion exclusive version of Sneasel, but not only the pink shiny. It was ALPHA pink Shiny! Pretty crazy I got that early game in the first area
