Ok sure, in the mean time, check out this video on small cars and you'll find some good info on the Prius. :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HGZOYTeLM2k.html
@@carsthatlast441 I don't think it's any bigger than the Acura, after all, that one is based on the Accord and the ES is based on the Camry. You also got the Camry XLE with the V6, very close to the ES in most aspects.
I have a 2008 BMW 328i with 240K miles -- everything still works with little oil burn. Some drivers have made it to 300K+ miles. Folks in this category can generally do their own repair and maintenance; otherwise I think the economics get in the way if you have to pay a dealer. People rationally decide to put the money into a new car rather than into repair.
I have a 2006 TSX 6mt that is at 206k with a new manual transmission replaced around 180k. Replaced the whole suspension in the front and lowered it last week as all the suspension pieces and struts were shot. The main weakness on these is the A/C as it fails and the aftermarket compressors are trash. I'd have to put in a 4th compressor next summer. Next weakness is power steering pump and aftermarket parts are trash again. Other things that broke are the serpentine belt tensioner (belt shot off) and the starter and the interior light switches. I wouldn't call it a luxury car just a Honda with leather seats and not that great of a leather, but maybe I'll put in some dynamat eventually to quiet things down the doors on these things are hollow no sound isolation. Also the speakers rotted out so I replaced those and installed some hidden subwoofers on the rear deck. There are a lot of wear items but the motors on these are solid.
@@doobedi IS Lexus is a small car.It can't be very luxurious !However Lexus does make high quality cars as we know!I don't believe small cars can be luxurious for tall people especially!
We have a fully loaded 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 Sport with over 259,500 miles on it and still running great! Also it's in pretty good condition for it's age.
Not only Mercedes. A lot of other makes can also last above 260k miles easily with proper good and cheaper maintenance . Nothing great about Mercedes anyway
I have a 2005 TSX with 324K it has issues but the motor is still good might not pass smog next go around. However it will still have 326k around that time. 2.4L manual
amazing because a nissan maxima is a piece of dung with enginges that clog and coils that fail and rattling timing chains and misfires and paint that fails .... and and
2005 6MT Acura TSX, 240k miles in horrible NE winters. Drives like new, original clutch, dashboard lights for radio and climate control have gone dark. Interior like new, still fun to drive.
I have a 2008 infiniti G37s with 243,000k miles on it , bought it for $3000 at 238,000k miles. I changed all the fluids everything from trans, diff, power steering, etc once I got it. The mechanic told me that my engine and transmission are still strong as a champ! However, I did recently found out that my rack and pinion boots are starting to leak a bit so I am going to replace that soon. For now its a great sports car to take me to work and college :)
Well it's on the top 10 best engine list for the Past 15 years for a reason Iove my 2013 G. The VQ will last forever if you keep up with the maintenance
BMW 3 series will cost you a lot along the way to 200k+. Modern Volvos are crap and expensive to fix. Mercedes is the only European option, but will still cost a lot to maintain if you can't do some of the work yourself.
The economics of the high repair costs mean that used BMW 3 series have a lower price. This then means people will decide to spend the money on a new car rather than repair. A high-mileage car will more likely get sold for parts rather than being repaired and kept on the road. BMW's high parts cost also contributes to this decision.
Have a 335i with 107k tuned since 62k at 23 psi do all the work myself but can definately see how it would get expensive if you had stealership or indy shop do the work. Mine has been pretty reliable due to 1 owner car when purchased I knew what I was buying.
@@brianplum1825 thats what i have 08 e90. Hpfp has not been replaced yet still running strong. I did do the walnut blast before I started modifying and tuning at 62k havent done it since, the methanol has helped keep it semi clean and I have 0 misfires. Im just now getting smoke from turbo seals going bad but ive been on them hard since tuned. Still not bad since they have been pushing 23 psi. New turbos are in the mail..
This is an awesome video! I want a 4 door luxury vehicle with a manual. That I know will be mostly problem free. I like the idea of either the G37 Manual or TSX with a manual. I got a 2006 XC90 V8 as a daily, love the engine. However I am bored of Automatics, and want a manual for all four seasons.
