My 2009 Tahoe had 188k when it was totaled. Engine and transmission were perfect. It did have a few electrical issues though. Other than that it was great.
My 2011 ford transit connect is 400.000 i use every day 3000 or 3 month oil change transmission fluid change every 30.000 and coolant every 30.000 ans still very strong cargo van
Hi question here mates . I’ve only driven a Toyota Tundra and a Cadillac DTS in my life . I’m thinking about buying a 2004 Titan , would it be a hard switch? Like learning to drive this since it’s bigger than what I’m used to?
I bet that’s the evap code. Mine has 307k miles z71 I picked up for 1k I detailed really good did service put new tires and it looks like new and still drives like new. I also upgraded the cooling fans to electric. Cherry 🍒
I just bought a 2006 Titan SE for 5K. I spent 7K refurbishing it. Runs like a champion. Oh, it has 192k miles. I am planning to keep it until the sparkplugs are spited from the exhaust.
1999 Chevy Surburban 219,000 miles 7.8L Vortec still going strong. Gas mileage still 1-14 on highway 9-11 around town only have replaced brakes, tranny filter, high voltage module, distributor cap, and power brake power booster. minor rust on 2 replaced doorskins due to bad prep. Door Skins Replaced due to side swipe collision with bridge.
I have 1989 mitsubishi dodge Raider and still running to this day it out last all my cars all 5 my cars that were made in 2000s they must be doing something right with there engines. My goal go for the million mile club
2014 Yamaha FZ-09. just hit 68,000 miles today. Oil/Filter changes every 4000 miles, Spark plugs every 8000 miles, Coolant flush every few years (when I remember). Only repairs have been the gear position indicator sensor and throttle position sensor had to be replaced. It's my daily commuter bike and still runs great.
Is there any up-to-date data for newer suburbans and Tahoe? Like from 2021 to 2024. I’m looking to buy, but they are so expensive and I don’t know about the issues.
I may have my hands on a 2012 e250 180,000 miles for 5k with a 2ft topper I’m so stoked now after watching this! Even if I gotta drop a new engine in it me and this van gonna be all over the US! Happy happy
Had an ‘88 Toyota Corolla hatchback - sold it to a high school kid in 2002 with 275K miles. 5 years later I see that kid (who’s in college by then) and he was STILL driving that Corolla! It had to have over 300K mikes by then! That’s how durable they are! 😃👍🏼
I drove a second Gen tahoe for many years. They are so dependable it's unreal. I'm finally on my first third gen only because I wanted to see what they had to offer. Chevy did not disappoint again 👏
I have three Toyotas at the moment 160,000 on my 08 Prius 124,000 on my 5.7 tundra 220,000 on my Toyota T100, but I just bought it and I think they changed the cluster on that so it probably has more miles than that
I have the 2007 Tahoe LT. Bought it with 168k on it. I did some research after I bought it and realized I was screwed. But! I bought the after market module that shuts down the AFM. I now have 229,000 on it and it doesn't burn any oil. I think I'm going to 268k miles on it. The only thing that I see is the transfer case seems to have a little slop in it.
I collected 5 gallon buckets for 8 years from an assisted living facility for seniors. The kitchen got some of their produce like cooking oil and margarine in buckets and Housekeeping got their laundry supplies in 5 gallon buckets. I stopped collecting them when I reached over 110 buckets then gave most away.
I have a 2014 F150 STX. Has 3.7 v6. Have 153,000 miles so far. Has been rock solid and reliable. Keep every fluid changed at at least half of what factory calls for religiously. Full synthetic always. Plan to try and put 300,000 at least on it. Did have to do the evaporater, which I did myself.
Brakes went out on my 2010 and it was a 3000.00 fix then it started shaking when I would start it up sometime. It went away after a few seconds. It used oil too...not bad but I had to check it once in every 2 to 3 weeks. In SC you are required to pay a fee to drive it too on top of expensive repairs and even insurance is higher on the Prius! Makes no sense! So yes you save on gas but you lose it when the problems come along.
Om my 2005 Gmc Yukon I have 236,000. The 5.3l engine has one of the lifters ticking right now. ( Motor n tranny are original). Should i replace the lifters first? Or should I Try some lucas to put down engine to see if stops ticking?
Thank you CarsThatLast for your feedback on these vehicles and their pricing: I have been looking for a van to buy for a conversion build and was unsure about purchasing an older model, which one or how much the cost would be. But your feedback has given me enough research to make a decision on which vehicle to purchase.- Keep up the great work
Had a Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5.3....400,345 miles when I had to get rid of it for a wheelchair lift van for my wife after a pos dr tried and nearly killed her....never touched the engine or transmission other than General maintenace...oil and filters.
Great truck and anyone that says otherwise are ignorant arrogant and full of shit. Superior to F150 in EVERY way INCLUDING TRANSMISSION and F150 sells more!! That tells you how dumb Americans are
I pit 305,000 miles on my 1987 Dodge Omni. A battery cable shorted to ground and the battery caught on fire and everything under the hood melted,or I still might be driving it. My fault. So it goes.
