Hermit Purple is inaccurate at tracking people. He was able to make Dio photographs, but later was unable to make Josuke's photo, even tho Josuke has the birth mark, like Dio. I mean, he got the town right, but is it really Hermit Purple's achievement and not just Joseph hoping their family still lives in Morioh? Anyways, we never see Hermit Purple trying to track people without the birthmark (for example Kira), so i'm hesitant about him finding my dad, unless they're related. (+the thing you said about identifying location, yeah)

I personally think that The World Over Heaven, wielded by Jotaro Kujo (Eyes Of Heaven, the video game) would be the best stand for finding one's absent father, as his ability "Reality Overwrite" would simply be able to overwrite reality and create a new one in which your father either never left, or has returned. The World Over Heaven could also warp reality, stopping milk from being sold in stores. The World Over Heaven is the best stand by far for finding your father, and that is without a doubt. No matter how much milk is in the world, The World Over Heaven can still overwrite your father's absence and bring him right back to you and your humble home.

After going trough all canon stands on JoJo wiki it's either Moody Blues or Paisley Park. First I considered Gold Experience, but it only works if the father left a body part behind, like teeth (or something else), or an object that is part of something the father has right now. But I would choose Paisly Park since it's ability can be used more easily.

Ok before watching the video, I'm betting that 1 will be either Paisley Park, Moody Blues, or Heavens Door. Paisley Park is obvious, it's just a really good GPS. Moody Blues could replay your dad leaving, then you follow him wherever he goes. And of course with Heavens Door, just write "I will find my absent father within [time period]" I think Hermit Purple could also be on the list, but it's debatable. It made a perfect map to a barrel of coal tar in the fight against Baste, but it's unclear of just how large of a map it can make. It could also create a photo, but who knows if the background will help much.

Hermit Purple's user does not need to destroy a camera to use it's ability. That was just Joseph being goofy. It doesn't even need to be a camera, you can get a map to him by having it touch some soil.

It could easily just make a map of the earth on some sand with an x for where the father is, like when Joseph was fighting The Empress and found the tar, or when he was fighting Mariah and tracked her with a pebble. To get more accurate readings Hermit Purple could just continuously "zoom in" on the area with the x, until you have your father's exact position.

Under World seems like it would be a good stand for this. Being able to unearth the memories of where dad went without needing resources like dna or a smell, basically Moody Blues but objectively better in near enough everyway.

I must say I have some gripes with some of these placements. For king nothing, I'm really not convinced that smell lasts longer than dna sources. As for highway star first off, his "60km/hour" doesn't work like that, basically as long as you're below 60km/hour it's instantly below you, but that doesn't matter, because the condition is so specific, that you might as well go there and wait for your father, if you know when and where he's gonna be. It's like, if you already know then the stand might as well be useless. Although, yeah I guess you could place it as a lure in a place where he used to like going, but i still don't think this should place it above babyface

my guess is moody blues! only problem is is idk if moody blues has a range. for example, if you were in California when your dad left and he moved to idk germany or something, that distance has to be too far for moody blues. maybe if you hitched a flight/boat/whatever your dad took while having moody blues follow his path simultaneously, you'd make it, BUT, if the two flights patterns get far enough away from each other, the distance could put it out of range, but who knows if that'd affect it
