it was probably because hot chocolate is a lighter brown since rory and lorelei normally drink coffee black (i think) and coke looks more like that coffee
You can have a cola light variation, but hot chocolate has a lot of calories and the actresses weren't so lucky with the "I can eat tons and still won't gain wait" trait as their characters. Given that multiple takes were needed I'd guess it was without caffeine , too.
@@SarahAndreaRoycesChannel Actually, most of the time their cups are empty (it always bothers me the way they move around the paper cups that are obviously too light and have the fakest slurps). Next time you watch the show, try to notice, it's quite fun! Oh and when the cups do have liquid, they pretty much never drink, it's for continuity reasons - it may take an hour to film a one-minute scene, so it would look odd if the cup looks full when a character starts talking and then 2 seconds later, half the cup is gone.
Paris was created just for LIza Weil? Thank God! She was always the best character and had all of the best lines. Can you imagine how different (Bad) Gilmore Girls would have been without Luke and Paris?
I may be off base here but I really don’t like the back door pilot episode for this show. I like Jess but not as a main character. Also I don’t think there is enough substance to his father for there to be a show. I’m glad the show didn’t get picked up and Jess returns for a few more appearances here.
Auslly Love 1000 oh, if you watch gilmore girls again you'll notice it. you'd see hanna's house, emily's house, the streets are the same, the church where ian got changes & charlotte jumped, you'd see it all.
I use to watch this with my mom all the time. Now that she has passed I can't watch/listen to the opening credits without crying. I still love the show and can't wait for the reboot, I just have to skip that part.
@@katelynbanjo i dont think so.. multiple actors said that the revival was really the end and they dont think they'll come back (lorelai also said that)
It's not the audio, I don't think. I agree, she had this affectation that made her sound very baby-ish but was gone when they did the revival. I felt weird that she just didn't sound the same, like actress forgot how to sound like her. Emily also sounds different, like she just doesn't have as posh of an accent. Maybe that actress was trying to sound depressed.
I still won't get over the fact that jared padalecki's name in this was dean and his brother's name is also dean in the hit tv show supernatural, i just won't
Jess is just an edgy guy who loves to make himself and other suffer. I personally don't find the character intriguing. It's the dynamic with others that made him interesting.
@@kremzupa_69 completely agree. and honestly, out of rory's 3 guys, he was the worst and least interesting. I mean, I get how he was important to rory's character development, but otherwise, meh.
the only thing i hate about Amy's supposed last words that they did use in the Revival is the mom im pregnant bit, that cliff hanging scene sucked soo bad
Another fun fact: The writer of the show, as you know left, but what the narrator didn’t say was that Palladino actually wanted something completely different for Rory. So yeah just know that if she hadn’t left, all of season 7 would have been different.
I knew all of them except jess' potential spinoff. but I always wondered, it kinda seemed like that's what they were doing. I can't wait to hear the final words!! so sad ed isn't around, I hope Emily's storyline is still interesting.
another fact: luke (scott patterson) and lorelai (lauren graham) did NOT get along whatsoever and in fact that had to hire an on-set counselor to help them get along. however because of the slight dislike, it made for good chemistry on-screen when it seemed like simple bickering that we, the viewers found cute. and one more: alexis bledel actually HATED coffee so in any of the scenes in which she was drinking it, she actually filled the cup with coca cola
Michael Obiabumuo same she's bæ I also liked Tristan in the beginning and wanted her to be with him and it dean but it's ok now bc I love Logan so much
lanastics _ Yeah, i never got people's obsession with Dean or Jess. Jess, Rory only dated for a few episodes and he was kind of a dick. Logan was/is great.
Andrea Daniely And also the fact that there most likely will not be another show to wrap any of that up 🙄 I hate that so much. I don’t want it to be up to my imagination!!
okay, I use to watch the Gilmore girls as a teen, now I am re-watching it in my 30's. As a teen I always looked up to Lorelei and Rory's relationship and just them as characters, but now I often find them very irritating. Lorelei I feel is very selfish. Her character is incredibly self-motived. She consistently talks horribly about her parents when really they have always been there for her through the good and the bad. She just fails to realize that because of her stubbornness. I feel at times she also tries to influence Rory's view on her grandparents by trying to depict them in a bad light. Rory, even told her once that thing's didn't have to be the way they were with her grandparents, but Lorelei refused to listen. When Lorelei started dating Max, she really didn't put any consideration on how Rory might feel about that or how it may affect Rory if fellow classmates found out Lorelei was dating her teacher. of course Rory's classmates found out. Also how she always intentionally has to be the center of attention. She can't even walk into a room without doing something that draws attention to herself. The numerous men she brings home doesn't really make her a good role model for Rory. When Lorelei slept with Chris when he was with Sherry and when Rory slept with Dean when he was married to Lindsey. Rory at one point even reminds Lorelei about that when Lorelei discovers Rory slept with Dean a married man and tries to lecture Rory about it. Rory compared it to when Lorelei slept with Chris while he was with Sherry. When Lorelei actually tries to play mom to Rory, Rory never takes it well and ends up having a fit and going to her grandparents house or living in their pool house or not even having communication with Lorelei. i feel that in the last 2 seasons Rory was more hostile toward her grandparents and Lorelei noticed and tried to make things right between all of them again. Which I will give Lorelei props for that. But she had always lead Rory to believe the worst of her grandparents and it was almost as if Rory had taken on some of Lorelei's negative feelings towards her grandparents. I feel like Chris and Lorelei never mentally grow up past a certain age. They were both so focused on being rebellious towards their parents that it sort of backfired on the both of them later in life. Both having to struggle and Lorelei borrowing money from her parents for multiple things. Chilton, Yale, having her mom co-sign for her. Then Lorelei trying to convince herself that her and Rory have everything they have, because of Lorelei's, when really it was, mostly, because of her parents. Rory would have only went to public school if it weren't for her parents, they even gave Rory a car and paid for some of Yale. til Chris's rich grandpa died. I would just like to have a good discussion with some fans. i adore the show and would like feedback on what you think of the characters. its just so bazaar how I see the characters differently now contrary as to how I see the characters now as an adult.
+Tiffany Nicole I completely agree with you. I always felt bad for Emily and Richard they just wanted the best for their daughter and granddaughter. Lorelei and Rory were pretty selfish and stubborn people. However even with their faults, I still love those characters.
+Adri1008 ...thank you for your response. i agree with you also. Even with their faults one can't help, but love the characters. i agree. Emily and Richard always did want the best for the both of them. The show kinda makes me realize the importance of family even though theirs was a bit off at times.
i don't think ive ever agreed with a RU-vid comment this much. first watched the show when i was around 14, and now im rewatching it as a 20 year old and i disagree with lorelai most of the time. curently at the start of season 5 which is pretty much the moment wear rory starts going downhill. but still love the show though
chiraine1 ... Awesome. Haha. Your exactly right, season 5 was when Rory did go downhill. I never could really pin point the moment, but it was season 5. That is just so funny how we see the faults differently now that we are a bit older. Its like if one watched the Gilmore girls as a teen, one kinda envies that friendship, mother, daughter relationship that Lorelei and Rory have, but as one matures one realizes, its more of a big sister little sister relationship between them. And even with all its different angles the show has its truly heart capturing.
I'm ngl, I always hoped dean and rory would end up together at the end of season 7 and rory should have worked her way to the top at the Stamford gazzette. I feel like a satisfying end to any TV series is critical. And for the revival, both rory and Lorelai should have been married, and I do like the whole last 4 words thing, but it should have been a happier occasion. I never did think of Luke with kids though, so I didnt mind that.
It WAS perfect just the way it was. I highly doubt any woman could have this kind of chemistry with Lorelai. Thank God the world in 2000 wasn't as progressive as now, otherwise we might have ended up with a female Luke and a bi Lorelai indeed.
Not thinking the bi vibe would work or suit this particular show is not homophobia. Thinking that the hetero relationship they built was perfect and should have never been different is not homophobia. Being tolerant towards LGBT people is one thing, cheering on all LGBT relationships on TV is another. I have nothing against LGBT people, but let me have my straight ships please. Like I said, Lorelai/Luke were perfect just the way they were - honestly I cannot imagine this show with Lorelai being gay/bi. I would've been totally fine with Lane or Paris being gay, though, so hold off your accusations and judgements until you better know what the person thinks.
Daril Balolot I’ve been watching Gilmore girls for almost 5 years!! I just rewatch it over and over again!! It’s my favorite show!! Is it for sure that the revival isn’t going to have a second season?
My mom and I have watched this show over and over again. We are on round 23, and we can quote almost every single line by heart❤️ GilmoreGirls is a Lifestyle:)
LifewithLex I wish my mum liked it but she prefer horror and thrillers and only time we quote stuff if it's walking dead lol 😁. Damn I needs a friend to watch gilmore girls with me.
Not really sure about the superpower part, because I'd rather keep Peter Petrelli and Jess separate, but I tottally would've watched the Jess spin-off ( although I'd be sorry that Literatti didn't last). I'll never get over that Jess Mariano grin :)))
Where "Gilmore Girls" was a show about a fast-talking mother-daughter pair who were best friends, "Windward Terrace" was to be about a father and son who couldn't communicate. For the spinoff, just flip the concept.
Wait so rory was actually supposed to be pregnant back in the last season of the original series when she was 22? Because their last words wouldve been "mom........yeah........I'm pregnant" then the father would have been logan.....right?
1) I actually liked that the last line was Rory telling Lorelei she is pregnant as it kind of brings the show full circle. 2) It would have been cool to see Rory’s pregnancy etc. 3) I would have actually loved to have seen a Paris spin-off rather than a Jess one. Also I heard that Alexis is French-Canadian and she had to learn English for the roll of Rory as up until then she only spoke her native French.
I'm sorry, but I watched so many surprising gg videos and no one ever pointed out that the song on lukes sisters wedding and the song that played at lorelais final wedding with luke was the same. It fucking broke my heart to hear it again and being a symbol for the fact that this was gonna last. Why did no one ever notice that?
Another thing I heard from behind the scenes docs: Alexis Bledel was very new to acting, so sometimes in the first few episodes, when Lauren Graham pur her arm around her, it was to help guide Alexis to her "mark". I think that's very sweet and shows that the actresses had a good rapport off-camera too.
One thing I always wondered.... why in the early episodes when they were searching for an Inn to buy, and in one particular episode, Lorelei had to drive Luke's Ex who wanted to photograph it, out to the Inn, so she wouldn't get lost. They had to drive way out to the old house that would be the Dragonfly Inn. And then somehow later, the Dragonfly Inn is a street over from Mainstreet, so that townspeople could pop over for lunch, and Lorelei could come and go to get coffee. That always puzzled me.
I just finished watching GG for the first time and here's my uneducated opinion -Jess wasn't just a bad boy, he was a bad boyfriend, bad student, bad nephew etc etc. But actually, like in real life, Jess grew up and made something of himself. If it wasn't for Jess Rory might not have gone back to Yale. Jess was a dirt bag teenager, but not a dirt bag adult.
Tesslynn Amburgey I completely agree, I love Luke but I have to say I think Lorelai belonged with Christopher. I hated what they did to his character in season 7, there is no way he would have been so cold to Lorelai when her dad was in the hospital he would have rushed to her side and supported her the whole way, especially since he is so close to Richard and Emily anyway. His and Lorelais personalities were so similar, I really think he just understood her better. I enjoyed some of the episodes they were together, but others were just painful to watch because of how things turned out between them.
Another fun fact: in the first season, Lauren Graham would put her arm around Alexis Bledel, or grab Alexis arm, to steer her into place, because Alexis was new to acting.
Me watching season one: Omg they talk so fast Me finishing the 7th session and watching this: Wait...they talk fast?! I forgot that they talk fast, but me too I became a Gilmore 😂🌚
*spoiler for A Year In The Life* The last lines from Rory would have been that she was pregnant???? Right after graduation or during her last year at Yale? That’s wild to think of and I didn’t know Palladino wasn’t a part of the last season, though I will say there’s a noticeable difference in the writing.
