My Tamer ( excluding Smeargle specifically for Ghost type tames) is always Paras or Parasect for 4 reasons: 1- False Swipe, Spore, Sweet Scent: All in one Pokemon. Also has Rest, Thief or Aromatherapy and other useful utility moves for more difficult tames. 2- Can have "Dry Skin" ability to heal from water type moves or just rainy weather, or the hidden ability "Damp" which prevents any Pokemon from using Self Destruct type moves. 3- Horde spawns in mount moon (the small ladder room, sorry don't know the proper name of the exact room), thus very easy to farm up tons of them to breed a good one. 4- Parasect is relatively tanky for someone so easy to get, with moderate Attack for those False Swipes. Only loses to Smeargle in not being able to get soak.
Technician increases the power of moves which have a power of 60 or less by 50%. Just a minor correction incase nobody else has stated it. Great video otherwise! :D
I use SOAK on my smeargle so I can hunt ghost/grass types too and I use a wailord as my water hm slave (surf, dive, waterfall). I also have pay day on mine, but I only use to kill the mons if I find a shiny cause I have a pick up/pay day Meowth to pay day only. I also use Teddiursa as my sweet scenter (plus earthquake and hyper voice) with pick up ability also, so I can easily have only her to level up mons. Great videos man, keep up the good work 👍🏼
I don't understand, my teddiursa has pick up ability but never seem to drop anything out of the wild hordes. did this got nerfed ? If pick up doesnt work on hordes then there is no point getting teddi as a sweet scenter right ?
@@sartopia8969 i know its a month late, but pick up does work on hordes. i'm not sure if it got nerfed, but it definitely works. I use Teddiursa as a sweet scenter with horde clear but also as an HM buddy. (Earthquake, Sweet Scent, Strength, Rock Smash) and it works wonders. Edit: 7:06 ok so apparently pickup got nerfed

I started a week ago and your videos have helped me out alot and I just caught my first shiny, a marowak. Wasn't planning on it I was leveling up Bagon's to sell. Got very lucky.
same case for me hahah i was casually leveling up, then a shiny sandslash showed up, i almost didn't notice it because i was watching a show😂🫣 i panicked
@@patrouski You can PP Up it three times or PP Max it once, either option brings its PP up to 32. To Sweet Scent in the field costs 5 PP, so after 6 encounters you'll have 2PP leftover.
Hey pat, sorry to bother. I was doing some research for the perfect smeargle (false swipe and spore is a must) and people have different moves on theirs.... I was wondering what 2 other moves could I add to my smeargle? Some of the options I have are thief, covet, payday, soak, sweet scent, mean look. Do u have any other moves that might be helpful?
Never a bother to answer a good question! Ye theres just a ton of options, its a huge reason why people end up making multiple smeargles haha, my first smeargle tht i used a ton had false swipe, spore, payday, surf. But if you already have an HM ocarina or smtn else for surf you can do soak as mentioned, teleport is also a nice option, or fly, Hyper voice for AoE killing hordes, or you can go earthquake, discharge, etc. for the same purposes. Lastly assist can be good for ditto farming with the newest strat. Hope some of these scattered thoughts/options help! You definately cant go wrong with most things on smeargle, just try to fit your playstyle for now and you can always make more later :)

just started this game few days ago... im in kanto and i have 8 badges...omw to battle E4 for the first time...where do i go to sketch false swipe and spore in that region? thanks :D
Zangoose learns false swipe pretty early. And shroomish/Breloom for spore are pretty easy to obtain. The easiest way I’ve found to sketch stuff is to go into a double battle and sketch your own teams moves. And not deal with finding a trainer/wild Pokémon who uses the moves. I’m a gen 3 player so idk about the later generations. But there’s a pair of reporters just outside mauville city who I always battled to sketch moves.
@@knownsam3 oh noooo 😭Unfortunately persian is much worse than meowth since it cant get the pickup ability which earns you about 50% of ur profit per hour when pay-daying 😭
