Concise, accessible information…your channel is exactly what my nearly 80-year-old brain needs to shake the rust off as I re-immerse in current technology. Thanks
@spartex100 it does tell you a watermark will be on there if you don't upgrade but I upgraded and like using filmora personally but I don't think it's for everyone
i love how it seems like editors keep the knowledge of editing open source. I think alot of people love the artform and wanna share it, probably the most tutorials on any subject on the internet.
Ty, I use some of those really cheapy apps on the phone to edit but they just don't feel right, premier is just too in-depth I can't seem to figure how to just drop drag and trim with ease, so thank you for this!!!
Your behind the curve. Da Vinchi resolve is now industry standard. No editor that I am aware of is still using Adobe it's a budget killer. Best update your video.
kdenlive is also great but im thinking of changing from it because you have to manually create camera shake and if you use the typewritter effect on text it can mess up the spacing of text you can also use the default video editor in windows but its pretty limited
By the way, imovie can be used on iphones too. I dont know from which iphone you can have it, or if its available to every iphone that still gets new ios versions. I have iphone 12 mini and i have imovie in here
Picked filmora a long time ago because of their lifetime license. Looking to switch after that crap they pulled where they told everyone with lifetime licenses that they had to buy a new license. It's left a bad taste with me ever since. Gonna try Resolve this time around💀
I have quality loss ppff with openshot and imovie. Isn't there a program where you hardly have that? It went from 6GB to 1.50GB or does the quality remain the same?
I was using dupdub to edit but they limit the downloads to 500mb which means a 10 min video would have to be 480i resolution. Will Adobe premiere pro limit me as well or can I download 1080p and then upgrade the video to 4k after editing to export?
I'm a total beginner. I'm never going to be a videographer. It's just going to be me talking interspersed with some still shots (no videos). Where do I start?
Thanks so much. Do you have video on Final Cut Pro? And Macbook photo editing. I think Final Cut Pro is only software thats only for Macbook. Others are Windows and Macbook. Is Final Cut Pro hard. I prefer editing on my Iphone. So maybe I will pay for Rush. Can you like me your video for Android and Iphone video and photo editing and Stories and Reels and TikTok editing apps in app store they dont have to be free.
I'm relatively new, or at least renewed to the scene. I haven't done video editing in at least 10 years. I learned basic skills on the old movie maker software but I'm getting back into content creation. I am extremely limited on budget and I don't know if software like DaVinci or other free software have watermarks. Let's be honest, as appreciative as I would be for free software, watermarks are an eyesore for creators and viewers alike. Can anyone shed some light on it?
Davinci doesn't have any water mark. most creators use it for youtube for free. Capcut is another option that isn't in this video and also free. I have tutorials on both on my channel.
Can you give advice. I was looking for another editor because I just started editing but this is SOOO slow on my pc. (I have a decent pc that streams games perfectly fine)
From my experience 1. use Shotcut (it is really light, used to work on a 8 year old laptop quite fine) 2. use proxies (to downscale your video from 1080p to 480p or even lower) this helps a ton 3. add effects at the end (like special filter oder more advanced animation) this can really destroy the performance
Is there a video editing software that allows you to make an 8 or 10 hr video and is free? I'm using Capcut and it's limited- I can't make a video longer than 2 hrs. Thank you
NO WARNING and my HitFilm full version suddenly stopped with a message (You're currently offline). I tried to go online to sign in and it would just be like I hadn't signed in at all so I reset the password and they sent me an email to do it and that did not work. I can't sign into my account so I am sending a message via RU-vid to see if I can get support. If I need an upgrade then why not send me an email and why cut me out of my account? This is very odd behavior for a company to do and I may have to make a video on it so that others can see what happened.
I am starting to make videos and I’ve experimented with lots of different editing softwares, the problem is that if I have a bunch of GoPro clips to put into at once the softwares i use don’t allow me to select them all at once and put them in. It would take me hours to slowly click and import each of the clips into the software for me to start editing. It would be great help if you responded to this comment. Thanks
Can anyone advise me. Im looking to get a new editing programme but unsure which one. this video has really helped narrow it down but wondered if anyone can recommend one or give their opinion on it. Looking at Davinci Resolve, Filmora or Premiere Rush. Id love something not too advanced but also something i can create great videos with (feel free to check out the videos im posting at the moment for reference) i am currently unemployed so i dont want to be paying loads for an editing programme so either ones that is free or has the option to upgrade when i am able to, but i still want to make good videos with a free version. it could be benefical to have a phone version so im i am traveling or have to get a video edited quickly i can do it on my phone but its not essentail as i usually edit a few weeks in advance. If anyone can help me with their personal expereince that would be great. thank you
From what this guy says start with Davinci Resolve which is more user friendly then maybe move up to Adobe or something else. I am starting a channel so i am in the same boat looking for editing right now!
Most of these editors are designed at isolating and disrespecting older more mature customers who don’t play video games in the attic In news bulletins people are warned about flashing lights apparently this doesn’t apply to modern video editors they are only designed for young tik tok celebrities . Designers of video editors should realise that there is a market for older clients who don’t dig loud rock guitar music trying to listen to a tutorial. Where is the video editor that’s as good as windows movie maker with an easy to read storyboard and 2 good transitions like spin and flip . Please GOD is there anyone out there who has found an easy uncomplicated older person friendly video editor that resembles windows movie maker
