Harold Pinchbeck, a small independent operation in Lincoln UK. Well worth a look, incredible dials and fantastic finishing coming in at affordable prices
Probably the most remarkable thing about Minhoon Yoo is that he is an entirely self-taught watchmaker. He even built or refurbished his own watchmaking machinery.
Congratulations Marko on your 100,000 subscribers. I wish you millions more. You truly deserve all the exposure you can get because you do one of the best jobs, on RU-vid, of giving independent artisans in the horological space a platform to show the beauty of their craftsmanship. So many watch channels devote most of their time to what the juggernaut watch brands, like Rolex, Omega, Patek Phillipe, etc. are doing, and very little time is spent on these highly skilled designers who are the watchmaker equivalent of a DaVinci or Michelangelo. Your emphasis on these highly skilled "little guys" of horology is to be admired.
Yoon was a topic of a @WatchFinder video about a year or so ago. His story is very compelling. He is for the most part self taught. Scrounging used equipment to learn how to perfect his craft. A true hustler 👍🏾
All outstanding pieces. I doff my cap to all of these watchmakers , amazing skills. The piece for me has to be by Stefan Ketelaars, especially his Night-time in Motion. Great video Marko.
Congrats on reaching 100k subs 🎉 You have one of the best watch channels on YT and you always have something new and unique for watch enthusiasts out there. I've learned alot from you and I will continue to watch your amazing content. Keep up the good work and good luck.
Hey Marko! Great show! Have you ever come across Paul Gerber's work? I think his triple micro rotors are super cool looking and may be worth to include in your next video.
Went to go contact Stefan Ketelaars at that great price for a beautiful piece. What a difference 2 months makes... Almost double the price. $5-6k and I had my wallet out. $8-9k and it's just out of my price range... Have Swiss Watch Gang Notifications on now
Wow awesome watches Marko. So much to offer in Independent watchmakers. So tough to choose!! Congratulations on 100k subs, SWG is the next big thing on watch YT!! 🙌🙌🙌
Great episode and 5 brilliant recommendations. I love the 3D terra in motion watch by Stefan Ketelaars. I would love to own one. I have actually reached out to him already but still waiting for a reply so fingers crossed. The work he puts in to heavily modify the watch to create a 3D dial is amazing. Laine watches have been known to me for a few years now, but prices for his watches have increased more than I can save to purchase one. Big fan of Slyvain Pinaud, I Would definitely purchase one if I could afford one.
Áron Becsey is an awesome guy! The biggest mistake he made tho is that instead of teaching people how to pronounce his name he went with the stupid BEXEI branding. C and S together in Hungarian is a sound that you make in the beginning of the word choke. He made the first true triple axis turbillion... with no money, no background no nothing...
I agree, hence I've featured them twice on my channel before :). 1. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mo9CGx0vggM.html 2. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HE7YU4kJxjU.html
The best kind of content and thanks for bringing exposure to the indies. You know you have a problem when you've pretty much heard of all the brands.... By the way, I've always been curious, if an independent bases their movement on an existing movement, but makes everything from scratch and in-house, is it still considered in-house?
Amazing what talented people with skills can make... Maybe for a next video, female watch makers? It just struck me that I don't know any and can't remember seeing them in your channel.
DEAR MARCO, HAPPY NEW YEAR. GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE MR. ESPARZA AND ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS. 🎅🎁🌲 SINCERELY PETER
@@SwissWatchGang I don't disagree with you per se but owning a watch that's 50k usd would put you in the top 0.001% of all humans on earth wealth wise. It's ridiculous to belive that will ever be obtainable for anyone of normal means. And that fact is apparently something lost on the majority of the watch community.
@@misteratoz I get what you mean. But as someone who built everyhing himself with no capital and working as a waiter for 5 years and doing everything in my power to one day be successful I'm telling you it's possible. And life is long, if you really put your mind into something for 5-10 years anything is possible. That's my opinion and personal experience. Is it easy? No, but better 5-15years hustle than 40 years in a job I don't like and can't progress. All the best!
@@SwissWatchGang listen man. Again... I personally am a physician and gonna be rich as hell and able to afford whatever I want unless I do something stupid. But what I mean to say is that if hard work was all that mattered hundreds of millions of people in India and Afghanistan would be the richest people in the world. Clearly... Those people will never even dream to own 1/10th of a royal oak. What I'm asking is for you to understand is that behind your success are multiple factors that boil down to luck. People in this hobby are among the most elite on earth. And when you boil it down to just hard work and determination, which are obviously important, you skip over and ignore your own privileges and others misery with a hand wavy "they deserve it. "
