Fragrance Review of my favourite winter fragrances of all time. my instagram: @mrsmelly1977 my email: barnetnaughton@yahoo.co.uk Top 10 Autumn Fragrances 2017 Video: • Top 10 Fragrances for ...
Great video. I have 3 of them (Dior, Daarej and Bogart ). My favorite one is Bogart by far. It was my scent of yesterday. ..this is so great and very classy ! ! Love Daarej as well
Great list! I'd add Tobacco Vanille and Fahrenheit in place of Bogart and Opium.... but what the heck do I know! Thanks again for another great vid, Mr Smelley....
Great list of heavy hitters ! Dior Homme Parfum will absolutely cut thru the Winter chill and make a statement . . . nice ! Today I will be both inside and outside in the cold New England weather, so my SOTD is Chanel Egoiste. Thanks for sharing . . . Merry Christmas . . . cheers !! :)
hi there Mr smelly, you could really see the passion in your face in this review, which really got the viewers attention, anyway some really good fragrances you shared with us, i also have the creed Bois De Portugal that is one my favourites, i have in the past owned g. gentleman the modern version. what do you think about vikor and Ralph spice bomb range, i like them personally. Thanks for a great video
Great video, as always! Allthough I was expecting to see the old formulation of Eau Sauvage Parfum as the 2010s representative... :) Speaking of that fragrance, it would be fantastic to see you doing a direct comparison between the 2012 and 2017 formulations! All the best.
Very nice list, sir. I now need to break out my Creed money again. Your description of Bois du Portugal moved me to decide. Thank you. P.S. I love Antaeus. What a great combination of notes. You seem to appreciate the same things I do. I am actually getting a backup bottle of Bogart. I just keep going back to it. Great review, much appreciated, thank you, sir.
I thought you were going to say the Marquis de Sade or Casanova (in the intro)! Hope you are enjoying the lovely snow. Interesting selections for winter fragrances too
Great video Mr smelly, Best one for a long time, I own most of what you reviewed, my personal favourite is givenchy gentlemen. Classic, I've used it for a lot of years, keep up the good work Mr smelly, especially with your dry sense of humour.
MrSmelly1977 if you haven't already, do check out vintage Romeo Gigli Per Uomo. I won't call it a 'Givenchy Gentleman killer' out of respect for Givenchy, but... 🥇
Great top 👍🏻 i would prefere for the 80's the obsession for men vintage juice and for the 90's the lagerfeld wonderful photo. As for the dior homme parfum, best choice for this times , hands down.
Very intriguing video. I enjoyed your list. However I would have put Frank Sinatra signature scent from creed at number one. that is a fantastic fragrance! Smell well my friend.
Thanks Ahmad. I nearly put Polo Green in here. I felt the Green-ness made it feel like a heavy spring scent but to be honest it is alsoi perfect for winter.
weird question but can you decant 2 or more fragrances in one decant bottle as i have tried laying fragrances before but nice to see the outcome of a mixed fragrance.
yes... DHP is insane and beast mode and awesome I hear. mega hype, sleeper hit or so. But youre right it can not be tried easily, or even BOUGHT! Blind bought! I wanted to buy it (im in Finland) But websites were sold out or didnt ship here. so yes.... It's high end designer indeed.
I think i will get that Bogart pour homme and few others like silver scent intense and pure, and that Dior homme bottle reminds me of Bogart city towers bottle.
DHP is fast becoming a hall of famer - perhaps more deserving than its younger (and taller) brother DHI, and certainly in terms of exclusivity. But all that aside, it's a fantastic scent that outshines many far more expensive niche fragrances IMO. Like a BOSS.
Hello , I love your videos and I must confess, I've just bought Dior Homme Intense for the winter season, and judging only by the price of 100 ml bottle, I think I did a good job. Yes, you are right when you said that Dior Homme Parfum is the best winter fragrance, and also the leather note and cedar are punchy. I thought a lot and compared Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male, Paco Rabanne 1 Million Prive, Dior Homme, YSL L'homme Parfum Intense, before buying a winter fragrance. My conclusion was (judging also by the fact that I previously own Fahrenheit, Sauvage and Homme cologne(best cologne ever))that Dior is on top of the list, but for me Dior Homme Parfum was too heavy, and after 20 minutes, all I could smell was cedar and oud. In Homme Intense the iris/violet softeness a bit the punchy note of the cedar. P.S.- I have another suggestion for cold season: Bvlgari Man Black Orient(smoky/spicey/oriental) Best regards from Romania Vlad Stefan
Thanks very much for the great comment Vlad. Dior Homme Intense is really every bit as good as DHP so it's a great choice. I have sampled that Bulgari once and I enjoyed it.
Thanks. I appreciate your suggestions. Haven't broke out my Antaeus or Bogart Pour Homme yet. I will sport one of them tomorrow. I do enjoy Daarej. P.S. Never have oral sex wearing a Viking hat!!! Really pisses her off.
Is there a problem with batches?? Dont tell me it has been reformulated?? Mine is 7s01 and it really doesnt last and project like revierws claim im afraid its a reformulation i bought it in 2017 btw plz answer
They are different . Pour homme is a classy cherry tobacco with the bogart DNA and silver scent is just grape soda in a bottle for me (obnoxious to me ) love it or hate it sort of an affair with the bogart line. Better ones are - one man show ruby edition, bogart story green, silver scent deep, silver scent pure. But the longevity and performance is just top notch at those prices. Try them out.
I always dress up like John Holmes and never get a complaint until I run out of batteries. Talking about old school winter fragrances and sexual harassment, have you tried Salvador Dali pour homme with the crazy big lips bottle?
Love your reviews! I have tried to love the Bogart...I really have tried. Does not do it for me-just smells like cough drops on my skin. Maybe that is why your ex-wife picked up that fry pan? Just a thought....
ROFL!!! @ the intro.. yeah the media , news and everything else is losing their fucking minds.. . 10 sex scandals now a day.. so dumb.. God help us. I like your picks, I would say more refined.. for the 90's tho... I would have to go with something like le male... I was debating between buying dior parfum or uomo intense.. I like them both.. I ended up going for uomo intense but I think dior parfum is better just maybe not as mass appealing.
Two problems I immediately see with this video 1) To be accused of sexual harassment, you have to loaded (in terms of moolah, dinero, dollars, pounds, shekels or gelt and not various aperitifs). 2) That couch is missing a cat. Behind every great fragrance enthusiast is a great feline. As a person who lived through the 1970's, Aramis would have to be my scent of choice (much more powerful back then). Although it came out in the late 1970's, in the 1980's, I alternated between Paul Sebastian cologne and Chanel Pour Monsieur Cologne concentree (all splash colognes and infinitely more powerful than the edt's and possibly edp's of today) Later on in the 1980's it was Obsession for the nights and once again a cologne splash that was incredibly powerful. For the 1990's, I really enjoyed Halston Catalyst. The original version was simply beautiful. The current EA Fragrances reforumulation is starting to disappear. See if you can find a vintage bottle. Do you think the more recent versions of Bogart Pour Homme are weaker?
You need a bigger chin, and presto, you'd be a doppelganger for mussolini :) and all this time I just couldn't put my finger on who you reminded me of :)
could not watch beyond 16 second. as soon as i see you making your jokes i leave. its waste of time for us the viewers, would be great if you go straight to point, the top list.
