I found your channel after looking for a good review on WT's Hydra. Don't consider myself a metal head but I find myself liking your reviews. After watching your vid on top 10 best metal album, I think I'll give those albums a try when I have the free time.
The worst albums with lenghty crtitic...Here we go (dis) Honorable Mentions goes to Psychosinner. I already had my rant in the comments of the Albums i missed video in December, so i do NOT Want to have a migrane again talking about them As for my list. Number 5. A View From the Top Of The World by Dream Theater What can i say about this? I do not hate it per say. But my God. Its one of the most BORING albums i have ever listened to this year. When an album like this makes something like Asking Alexandria more enjoyable. You did something wrong. And the Title song didn't had to be 20+ minutes long. I could make quick noodles and watch an Episode of the Simpsons by the time its over, just because someone is a Progressive Metal band it doesn't mean their songs have to be the lenght of a Lord of the Rings movie Number 4. Chemical Warfare by Escape the Fate If it would have came out when i was 12 years old, when i thought FFDP and BFMV was the heaviest thing, i would have probably liked the album, and i kinda did...for the first time, because holy hell this aged like milk, First of all, what happened to this band? I never liked them, but i thought they were fine with...and i can't believe im saying this, with Ronnie Radke, but the moment Craig joined, whatever fame they had was flushed down the toilet, their last album in 2018 was so bad no one is talking about them, and for a band that has a semi decent following, i thought they would have some budget for some music videos, in the high 5 or lower 6 figures, but the music video for their opening song is horrendus, it looks like it was made in Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas with some stock effects downloaded from free on the internet, it looks like a fanmade project for a Dragon Ball Z Music video or an Avatar the Last Airbender one, not for a professional music video by a Rock/Metal band, me and my friend, who is learning 3D animations was reacting to this in a Discord call and i just couldn't stop laughing how bad it is while he was just raging, then if that wasn't bad enough, the Song "Demons" was so bad, its legendary, it literally sounds like someone sat down, and tried writing a song for an AMV, with edgy lyrics, seriously, the lyrics are borderline laughable, but the last song "Walk on" was where i lost my cool, it was a pretentious hit piece for a bottom of the barrel movie about Sexual assault that it made me lost it. I am all okay with songs speaking about serious topics. But it is so crystal clear. This song was made for some quick bucks, the album was fun the first time. But the more i listened to it. The more distasteful it got Number 3. Kostolom by Slaughter to Prevail Right out of the bat. I am fine with artists mixing two or three languages in their songs. Rammstein does it well, My First Story does it well, but this is just. Unlistenable, it sounds like a demo rather than an album, its way too loud in some parts. Or way too quite in other parts. And i just don't enjoy this at all, i tried, but i just can't, i like lots of bad music, even ones that would probably get me crucified if i mention the genre they play in, but even then, their music is okay, Kostolom By Slaughter to Prevail? Is the most pretentious, egotistical, most dissapointing album i have ever listened to, and news flash, just because someone throws an F-bomb like a poor copy of AVGN and then speaking in Russian Doesn't automatically make your album good Number 2. Moral Hygiene by Ministry Their downfall is just...sad. There is no words that can describe how i feel, this doesn't feel like an album, it feels like a political campaign, more than an album, just in sonic form, if there is anything i don't want in my music is politics, this might be a hot take, but i just dont want to deal with politics in any way or shape of form, because it makes me mad especially when i live in a corrupted country such as Hungary, as for the album, i rather eat Jelly Beans, i rather eat a rotten tomato or a raw meat from a Gordon Ramsay show than dealing with this album, even if i was paid to listen to this, i wouldn't, because its just pure earrape. Its not the type of earrape where loud boosted music plays in your eardrums, its the type where you just feel a knot in your stomach and feel like you want to throw up. So no thanks And Finally. Number 1. Metal's Back. By Dungeon Wolf Someone said to me that the vocalist has passed away, and from the bottom of my heart. Rest in Peace, but even then, this is some of the worst piece of music i have ever listened to, this album sounds like a 10 years old wrote it. It sounds unfinished. It sounds dry. And sloppy at the same time. It sounds like a weird combination of Mötley Crüe and Trapt, it feels hollow, it feels like when you open an old piece of computer. And dust just blows into your face. It feels and sounds so bad that it makes St Anger sound like a Musical masterpiece, it shouldn't have been made, at least not as a serious album, if someone told me this was Weird Al's way to make fun of Metal or make a Parody Metal album, or if someone told me Corey Feldman tried to write a Metal Album, i would honestly thought they would be telling the truth, this album feels like the Manifestation of Amy Shummer's Vagina humor, it feels like it belongs to a Comedy Central show in an episode from somewhere like the Big bang Theory or How i Met Your Mother, this is...its beyond awful, its everything wrong with boomers trying to make metal, i hate this record, with a passion, seriously. As bad as something like Limp Bizkit is, at least they have some kind of talent. Not good talent. But talent nontheless, but Dungeon Wolf?...no, just. No, the only thing i like about this is the Album Cover, and that is it. And even that album cover looks like a rejected 50 Shades of Grey/Twilight Fanfiction written by someone who thinks Blood and Wolves are hotter than vampires or a Narcissistic Business man. Lordi also made a massive 7 album encompassing mega-album this year and when interviewed about it the front man said they thought they were going to get a world record but then got informed that psycho sinner released 9 albums and the front man was like: "damnit we shoulda made it 10 albums" xD Idk why there was this sudden rush to create as many mediocre albums at once this year (or in psycho sinners case horrible albums)
I didn't listen to any of these but I'm probably gonna give the Ministry album a listen at some point. I will say that Limp Bizkit being self aware might make me respect the band a bit more, but no, it isn't going to improve the album. I'm grateful for that one coming out just because we got some pretty good memes out of the deal.

I'm not by any means a limp Bizkit fanboy but I dug the shit out Still Sucks. It's not a masterpiece by any means but I love how stupid it is. I'm probably in the minority saying that lol. Turn It Up Bitch, Snacky Poo, Dirty Rotten Bizkit, and Out Of Style are my favs.
I frankly really love listening to still sucks by limp bizkit. I'm 19 so I dont have nostalgic feelings towards it and I'm not there for the memes. Just a fresh listen when compared to the typical thrash/death metal album of the day. I respect your opinion as someone who loves them unironically.
Poor kid......Silver Obscene thrash and deathmetal are two styles of metal that sometimes cross over into the others "style"boundries.in doing so a magical thing happens.its known as an "actual metal manifestation".....the birthing of music that wrote the book on most if not all metal genres.just a thought for your 19 year old self.

Here's my list of worst rock/metal albums of 2021: 6. CheVelle - NIRATIAS Cool concept, but a fairly boring execution 5. NOFX - Single Album Another snoozefest. Hell, even the band members sound like they're bored out of their minds when they were recording this thing 4. Scarlxrd - Dxxm II I will say that he's not one of the worst rappers I've heard, but, his music is just so unbelievably caustic. Like, no hooks to stick your ears to, it's all just noise and screaming. 3. Cheekface - Emphatically No. There is some potential in the music here, but the main singer just pisses it all away. He sings in a very annoying manner and the lyrics are dumb as bricks 2. Evanescence - The Bitter Truth I can't stand Evanescence. Frankly speaking, because of their Bring Me to Life song, I legit avoided them for over a decade. Until this thing came out, and I listened to this thing just for an experiment if they got better over the course of 20 years. Guess what? They somehow got even worse. The music is very muddy in sound, and even Amy herself sounds very out of focus throughout the majority of this album 1. Atilla - Closure Where do I even begin? This is an album by a band lead by a 30-something-year-old, that over the course of FOURTEEN YEARS sings about how "he drives Lamborghinis, makes all the money in the world and how he's fucking YOUR girlfriend and are you so jealous of me? Be jealous me! You have to be." The music itself is also pretty freaking bad, and it's just absolutely sad. Easily the worst piece of deathcore, metalcore, nu metal, rap metal or melodic metalcore I've ever heard in my life
Ministry kicks ass! Their last 2 albums were great! Amerikkkant and Moral Hygiene. If anyone doesn't like it because of the bands political views, then they were never fans of the band since the band has ALWAYS been left wing and political since the 80's. Hopefully the snowflakes will give this kickass album a listen. Ministry is selling out venues so their music must still be good 🤘

I wanted to wait until you released all three of your videos before giving my two cents, and now that we're here, let's do it. FAVORITE METAL ALBUM Between The Buried And Me: Colors II I legit have no idea how these guys keep topping themselves with every album. Not just a worthy successor to the original, but it matches its awesomeness. FAVORITE NON-METAL ALBUM The Killers: Pressure Machine I was expecting a typical Killers album. Instead, I got a stripped down, Springsteen-esque look at small town life. It defied my expectations and did so with some of the best songs Brandon Flowers has ever written, not to mention his steadily improving vocal abilities. This is my favorite album of the year. WORST ALBUM Van Morrison: Latest Record Project Vol. 1 OK Boomer: The Album.
Good takes Though personally while I ADORE colors II Kostolom was my #1 album because it just did so much I'd never expected from deathcore and in such a great way, a genre I typically find very up its own ass and self derivative gave us songs like Baba Yaga and Zavali Ebalo that sound truly boundary pushing for deathcore in a way where im enjoying the genre for once

Thanks for doing the dirty work so we don't have too. I didn't listen to much that I hated, most times albums are just mediocre and forgettable. However there were two albums I listened to this year that I think of as "worst." Powerwolf - Call of the Wild I had never listened to this band before and I can't say I'm ever going to again. I hate this stupid album. The fact that they are opening for Iron Maiden is a slight against human dignity. Foo Fighters - Medicine At Midnight The first 3 Foo Fighters albums are some of my favorite music of all-time. Their albums from One by One to Wasting Light I even like and think are good rock records (Wasting Light being a real banger). But their last three albums have been bad and this new one is insufferable. I've long defended the Foos from fans who jumped ship long ago but I can't anymore. Not after Foo Fighters do disco and the rest of this turd of an album. I still love you Dave, but also I think I speak for everyone when I say that you should take a backseat from the interviews for a while before you turn into Bono (if you haven't already).

It was an absolute boundary pusher in Deathcore, between it and Kin the entire subgenre is being shaken by artists being more experimental Zevali Ebalo is one of the must interesting songs I've heard all year, Baba Yaga has incredible instrumentation and the early slipknot sound adds a nice groove to an overall heavy track, everything to say about demolisher has already been said. Like as someone who tends to find deathcore too up its own ass, Kostolom and Kin were amazing albums

I don't think Love & death deserve to be on this list. Perfectly preserved is not a masterpiece of originality or anything but i would call them a more than competent gateway band.
Perfectly Preserved is actually my favorite album of 2021 haha It really shows how far Head has come as a vocalist and JR is a good singer too. Only complaint I have is its too short but that aside I loved it.
I wouldn't call Judas one of the worst albums of the year. To me the first 4 songs are excellent, the chorus in Your Star Has Led You Astray in particular is really something I wish I'd written, that's a great song! In fact you could take probably 10 songs off this and make a really good album. My issue is there's 14 other songs that I cannot remember, and it is a chore to get through. You're right, it just doesn't need to be this long. It doesn't help that throughout all 24 tracks, there's no real changes of pace, it doesn't go up any gears, only really down on a couple of occasions. But yeah, wouldn't say worst, just half great, and then the other half is kinda meh! I'd probably replace that album on the list with Sermons of the Sinner by KK's Priest. People have hyped the fuck out of it but I feel like if it was an underground, unsigned band putting that out they'd be laughed at. The lyrics on that album sound like they were written by a 12 year old who's just discovered Judas Priest and Manowar, not by someone with the supposed calibre of KK or Ripper Owens! Plus the songs themselves are just so painfully generic, which isn't really an issue in itself, but they don't carry anywhere near enough weight to make you not care about that

I’m fascinated by Dungeon Wolf. Deryck allegedly died from herion. The previous Dungeon Wolf record was well thought out and executed. Still cheeky. Before that Deryck went by Valhalla Ice and had a rap/Metal joke project. I still halfway think he faked his death but he hasn’t re-emerged at all, and no one can confirm.

Lord of the Lost - Judas While the production is really good, and some of the performances are competent, holy shit this is way too long. The album suffers horribly from monotonous song structures, a lack of direction, and an overabundance of watered-down gothic metal. While there is an attempt to make a competent effort, it's not shown here. Maybe next time, I suppose? 4. A Day to Remember - You're Welcome You're welcome? More like no thank you. I've been devoted to these guys for many years, and Self Help Festival was the last concert that I went to. The mix on this sucks ass, the songs are so safe and boring that my eyes can't help but contract to the back of my skull, and it's an example for really soulless crappy rock music made for radio and nothing more. I can't defend this shit as a longtime fan, I really can't. 3. Limp Bizkit - Still Sucks I was actually excited for this album for the sake of laughs, as this year seemed to be great for some music and.....interesting for other examples. This being the latter. While the intro track and Dad Vibes are dumb and catchy songs, on top of having some of the most energy that the band has had in decades (and I'm serious), the rest of this thing is a dumpster fire. Pointless and awkward interludes, acoustic tracks that don't belong, and the overall structure are the biggest crutches that this album suffers from. Well, they're back. But what was the point? 2. Ministry - Moral Hygiene Leftist crap in a bucket. Jello couldn't even come close to saving this for me, the band's in need of a retirement. Now. Worst Album of the Year: Drake - Certified Lover Boy Okay, so I wasn't originally going to listen to this travesty, but I figured I would since the radio will ride on it anyway. So, here goes. This is one of the worst albums I've heard in a very, very long time. Drake in general is a pretentious, lifeless, soulless, and corny figure in the mainstream hip-hop scene, but this hits new lows for him. I shouldn't have expected an even remotely competent result out of this, and I fell asleep during certain points of this record. Way 2 Sexy is a flaming pile of dogshit that has plagued radio airwaves with the most hellish of hellfires imaginable, and such lines as "say that you a lesbian, girl me too" make me just exhale the most vehement of groans. Part of the reason why I steer the absolute fuck clear from mainstream music scenes is because of Drake and his influence. More or less, the hypebeasts. The barrel full o' reaction channels. DJ Akademiks. And he fell asleep to this shit too! I've given up on Drake as a whole, and I should've a long time ago. I can't wait for mainstream pop and rap to fade away and fizzle out, I've sticked more towards the underground scenes. And there's loads of good stuff there, you just need to find it. Or just, you know....indoctrinate someone towards the good shit. Simple as.
I am sorry sir, your critique of limp bizkit sounds like what a lot of people look at metal and rock as at the moment, just played out stuff that hasn’t really had a voice to capture and dominate. It’s a little niche sub culture that continues to shrink. Besides the few prog projects here and there…. It’s boring as fuck and as a whole out dated. I’ll listen to Wes Borland wail rather than most of the stupid djenty shit and thrash blues any day.

To be honest Metal Meltdown. Does any album in general need to be an hour and 44 minutes long? A perfect album in my opinion is about 12 tracks and under 45 minutes. Bonus points if its 9 tracks and under 30 minutes. An hour and 44 minutes is just overkill and itd lose my attention after the 40 minute mark

My listening spectrum is a lot more narrow so the only album that I'd call a total overhyped peace of hot disappointment is ... Kostolom by Slaughter to prevail. Them going full Russian Slipknot is not what Deathcore needed. Worst album cover of the year too.

LOL - I wouldn't expect anyone to include Limp Bizkit in any type of Metal ranking list - for me they're more Pop, especially that last album Like including Rage Against The Machine alongside Cannibal Corpse, Carcass or any Black Metal or blast beat stuff It's just a matter of opinion - but as Limp Bizkit albums go, this one is the next best after the first LB record from 1997 I haven't listened to Limp Bizkit since 1999 but this one made me smile and I dig it for sure.
I am a huge fan of Lord of The Lost and I agree 100% with your analysis of the album. I was putting a lot of faith in the album when the first video came out and it was a total disapointment. They did not live up to the quality of the previous two albums.
I absolutely love Empyrean and Thornstar. I can listen to Thornstar from front to back with ease but I sadly have to agree, I don't listen to Judas besides the singles (sometimes).

He got the nomination because the album sold well and the Grammy's already know who Zombie is lmao. To his credit, he's worked his ass off for years now, so as much I dislike the album, I'm not really too upset about the nomination - it makes sense, all things considered.
Worst for me has to be either that Spiritbox or I9K albums. I don't get the hype of those bands. One of them just rips off horror movies and then passes it off as "original." The other one markets itself as a "new, fresh" iteration of metalcore, when in reality it's literally the same generic -core crap we've been hearing for the last 20 years. It's literally the metalcore version of Zoolander's Blue Steel look. It's the same trash. Speaking of generic -core crap, Jinjer's Wallflowers gets worse for me every day. So that might be on my worst list when it's all said and done.
Honestly I forgot all about that Jinjer album. Despite all the buzz and hype for the album, and the backlash from my review, I literally can't remember a single moment from it lmao
Yeah, all these albums deserve to be here. The worst part of this video is how it reminded me that the releases of Judas and Ministry exist. I did so good at forgetting about them too.
The most awful album I've listened this year was Atreyu - Baptize. A failed attempt to stay relevant. Also I don't get the hype about the Spiritbox and INK albums. The two most overrated bands of 2021 imo.
Atreyu almost made this list. I'll give some credit to Brandon, dude sings his HEART out, but he's alone cannot save that album. INK was fucking annoying but I'd be lying if I said that I haven't been humming some Spiritbox songs as of late lmao.
I let the video play without watching it on purpose, to hear if Helloween or Accept were on the list. Pleasently surprised. (Y) My pick for worst is...vacant. I've listened to 95 records this year (Metal/Not Metal. Old and new) and i've liked them all. My favorite Metal record of the year is Tribulation.
The only bad thing about Still Sucks is that it's too dam short! Amazing Record!!! (please don't try to Fboy me since there are just 2 LB records i thoroughly enjoy from start to finish) no further objections though
