Unfortunately there is no song from 2013 included because the split points results jury & televoting have never been published. We only got the average placings in each voting (jury & televote).
Not a song that sticks in your head, overproduced as many swedish songs (worldwide) are. I would like us in Sweden to for once send something different.
I remember that I was really angry with those 7 points to Michal (Poland 2016) from the juries, but then I was very grateful with the 222 points from the public, one of my favorite songs of all time.
I thought Eurovision 2021 would be polarising, and that at least two entries would be in the top 10 of this list (only Go_A made it, and Destiny was close). It turns out that the tastes of the two groups were not that divided (the juries rewarded Italy a fourth place). Until now, I never realised the juries disagreed with viewers this much on KEiiNO lol.
Too much depending on the Jury Show. The jury distribute their points at the Jury Show (and KEiiNO's camera turned into black, and everyone saw nothing.)
I mean I didn’t really like KEiiNO that much, they were good but not my favorite. For me it’s just not the type of pop that I’m into, which is totally fine. I see the appeal and had they won then I would’ve been happy for them. It’s very much a people song, however, the mix of genres (jojk, pop, edm type stuff etc) might have been too messy for specific juries as they are people in the music industries. A lot of more experimental songs do worse with the juries but good with the public. This is because the juries are generally more into traditional music or well written songs in one genre or another (hence why ballads or conventional pop tend to do well with them). The general public are more there for the entertainment, stories, traditions and new fun sounds which is why KEiiNO, Go_A etc. did quite well. Overall, they balance each other out quite nicely.
@@siuniupiu they are encouraged to vote based on song and not the staging right? Also they will give another chance to perform to the participant in case of technical issue on jury performance right?
Except for Australia’s Sound of Silence. That performance and song were perfect. It just didn’t have the personal story behind it to get the televotes.
In this video the Juries seem to like: people with great singing voices, sung in english and less varied. While the public seems to like: nail biting songs, not sung in english and more varied.
They tried to save 2022 from the most controversial victory in recent history with Ukraine, deserved or not, it's fair to say that juries tried to actually be a jury that year. While most people voted with sympathy.
Too complicated for "professionals". The "massage" must be clear, no longer then 3 words, repeated a million times in interviews exactly. And more glitter!!! And more grimaces!!!
Nah, 75% televoting and 25% jury. Too much power on "music professionals" that are actually just expressing their own taste and of course kissing neighbours' and Sweden's ass. Just compare our (Finland) televoting and jury points from past few years. Sweden gets 12, 10 or 8 almost every time.
I notice a trend that the ones with far higher jury score tend to be straightforward vocal songs that are overall a bit blander, not sure that I like how much that is weighed in eurovision
In conclusion: jury points are usually political (predictable and the highest points are given to neighbors), while the televoters allow more diversity and show some real musical taste.
Theres a saying that goes around, that the UK doesn't suck once every three years. Unfortunately, the 2020 contest was cancelled, so we will have to see what the UK brings to the table in 2023.
It's... frankly a basic song. Most of the time i agree with televoters but 2019 jury votes made so much more sense! At least in my opinion. Macedonia really came though with that song. One jury vote i MAJOR disagreed with though was Iceland. MFING satanic BOP. Deserved more imo.
So if some country get 10 points from tele and 1 from jury that means it is the most robbed song in ESC history? 10 times more votes from public...Where is your logic?
i find it insane that despite ukraine 2022 receiving 432 televote points, it would still be behind norway 2019 in terms of the jury-televote difference
2018 was really wierd how can Austria and Sweden with average pop songs (and the Swedish guy sining off key) made that much points in juries ??? especially that year when we had so many great songs ... I always feel bad for Italy, Denmark, Czechia etc..
See how the juries always vote for the worse, most forgettable songs? Babushkas and go-a are my personal top from this ranking (with il volo and keiino) but they all deserved so much better
But their idea of "quality" is frequently the blandest pop song with the most mediocre vocals you've ever heard. I think they like songs which fit their mould.
0:14 0:28 4:47 I'm trying very hard not to hate televoting right now. 3:31 Juries, what happened there? And come on, only 7 points for "Friend of a friend" and 2 for "Don't come easy"?
After all everyone reaching Eurovision are winners Sometimes the tele-voting not really equal the reality 2 of the songs that got bad score from tele are now on top 50 of all time played Eurovision songs Dance You Off with Benjamin Ingrosso and To Late For Love with John Ludvik And 2 are in Top 100 all’s time played Eurovision songs Je Me Casse with Destiny And Sound of Silence with Dami Im So in the long run they are winners
My Favorites: Lie To Me (Czech Republic 2018) - 6 Pionts Popular (Sweden 2011) - 6 Pionts Don't Come Easy (Australia 2017) - 6 Pionts New Tomorrow (Denmark 2011) - 6 Pionts I Can (UK 2011) - 6 Pionts Love Me Back (Turkey 2012) - 8 Points Yodel It (Romania, 2017) - 8 Points Hey, Mamma (Maldova 2017) - 8 Points Je Me Casse (Malta 2021) - 8 Points Lights and Shadows (The Netherlands 2017) - 8 Points Allez Ola Ole (France 2010) - 10 Points Too Late For Love (Sweden 2019) - 10 Points Proud (North Macedonia 2019) - 10 Points Sound Of Silence (Australia 2016) - 10 Points Friend of A Friend (Czech Republic 2019) - 10 Points Discoteque (Lithuania 2021) - 10 Points Dark Side (Finland 2021) - 12 Points City Lights (Belgium 2017) - 12 Points Higher Ground (Denmark 2018) - 12 Points Growing up Is Getting Old (Bulgaria 2021) - 12 Points Under The Ladder (Ukraine 2018) - 12 Points Zitti E Buoni (Italy 2021) - 12 Points
Hmmm it's obvious over the last 10 years juries tend to overrate Australia, Sweden, Spain, France, Austria, and Malta and underrate Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Poland, and some smaller countries while the public tends to overrate Ukraine, Italy, Poland, and pound Malta, Australia, UK, Germany and Belgium.
I always said that in 2018 jury made a terrible mistake, how could they get 200+ points to dance you off and only 59 to Italy's song.... They normally read the lyrics, but in that occasion they only watched a dancing boy. And I don't speak about KEiiNO and Michal.... Embarrassing
The jury vote is necessary for songs like "Quédate conmigo", "Sound of silence" or "Proud", what we don't need are countries voting for their neighbors or those who like them better just because.
What we don't need are juries that are mostly equally partial as televote. And we don't need juries that destroy potential winners like Norway 2019. This show is for the people. 20 thousand people in a country have to spend 10 euros each voting for someone just to have 5 jury members destroy that. In most cases they are some one hit wonders or singers from 70s that don't get todays music.
@@robertcepo1505 Couldn't agree more. I looked up the jury members for my country (Finland) for the last 8 years, and while there're some household names (like 4 tho, so not many -_-) and I can understand the ones that googling told have qualifications like PhD in Musical Arts, or songwriters that don't themselves perform, most were either radio DJs, questionably qualified journos, backing vocalists in past Finnish entries (which reinforces the trend of boring ESC staples getting way too much jury points) or small-time never-heard-of-them-or-anyone-they-produced producers.
@@robertcepo1505 Agreed 👏. I dont see anything wrong with voting for neightbour countries. Besides, jury votes for neighbour countries too (especially Spain-Portugal, Cyprus-Greece, ...) and jury mostly votes politically, not based on music. The show is for people to decide. Jury robbed Poland 2016 😠 and also what we dont need is some countries passing automatically to finals.
@@fabiogallotta7155 Vero. Ho levato alti lai per questo, negli anni. Ma guardando questo contenuto, si capisce che la Russia ha molto più da recriminare, rispetto a chiunque, anche a noi.
