@@logankelly9581 you know dwarven armor doesnot come from dwarfs but ftom dwemmer in skyrim and thats an elfish race there with a simular hight of other humanoid races in tambriel
I've always thought Eridian weapons were garbage. I don't disagree with the order however. They just lack true power. You give Lilith a Double Anarchy and it's game over.
They were only added in the General Knoxx DLC, for only a few variants, and rarity is comparable to Pearlescents (which were added and are only found in the General Knoxx DLC) in this game.
@@miletilblight2181 Depends on the hybrid, if we're talking Nemesis/Invader Hybrid then no, because that's the rarest weapon in the entire game, but rarer than say an Ajax Ogre yeah. Also perfect pearls are much rarer than Legendary Eridian weapons.
Pvt.Mitch1208 i want them to be added back in in borderlandss 3 with both lasers and etech as well as seperate what makes legendaries legendary again so allow for hybreeds (i dont care if there gen 1 pearls i calling dem the HIGH BREED)
The red text for the lightning is, "I feel like I'm gonna break this thing." It's a reference to Will Smith's line in Men In Black, when he gets the Noisy Cricket.
Slender Man 186 the thing is, Atlas got the hell off pandora. Atlas GUNS are still there, but they'd really just be floating around, changing hands. S&S however can and should come back.
Slender Man 186 just go back to how it was before. Super high mag capacity, good damage, slow reload. Make bandit like OG tediore. Balanced stats, lower mag capacity, and maybe lower damage but with really fast reloads.
I get why they got rid of S&S munitions The artists didn't want to make another fancy looking gun and wanted to make a gun that had a "made from scrap parts" feel. They essentially have the same effect as the S&S guns, minus the almost always being elemental. Although I do agree Atlas and eridian should come back, just because atlas left Pandoratheir guns that were already here just didn't disappear. Lots of people kept them as treasures.
BatHulkSmash moxxis panty house is for storing legends and eridians and hybreed weapons nuttin else if it becomes reduntent it gets sold or fed to skagzilla
True. That being said, for half of my trip through CL4P-TP's Robot Revolution, I was using an Eridian rifle in place of a sniper. Then I found a Volcano and I began making sacrifices to Pele.
The lack of an element really hurts some of them. Or they consume much charge per shot. I do like the Thunder Storm and the Wave Blaster though. The Spatters are ok too.
Erdian weapons are a great concept dont get me wrong, but a long standing trait of the borderlands franchise is weapons that seem awesome on paper but lackluster in game.
I remember i was a sucker trying to get this weapon but later on i realized it suck, maybe it can return in BL3 because of the infinite ammo but not trashy, hey do you think you can do top skill in borderlands 1?
Yup, the lack of story and exposition in BL1 make it fun to play again, as you can just focus on combat. I got on a serious BL2 kick again lately, and the campaign gets boring about midway through your second playthrough, but BL1.....if you know what you’re doing, and utilize DLC areas at the very start of the campaign to XP boost and buy all of the orange ammo capacity SDUs, it makes the game easy and still really fun to play. I get why BL2 is the best of the series, but I love the music and atmosphere of BL1 so much more.
I owned Borderlands and played the entire lifetime without internet connection. So when I discovered these awesome, rare alien guns I became fascinated with them and collected several. The lightning shotgun was def my favorite of them all!
_NUMB_ WHEN IS THIS GONNA HAPPEN AND A REALLY WIERD OPTION TO PLAY THROUGH THE BORDERLANDS 2 STORY EXCEPT TINAS TELLING THE WHOLE THING AND YOU CAN PLAYS AS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL FOUR
_NUMB_ also a switch port would be appreciated grinding takes time and i dont have all day to sit at a computer or console so gimme it on switch so i cant slaughter bandits on the go it also might give bl a bigger audience i japan since they play most of there games on mobile
I remember when I first played BL:1 I thought that you needed to get maximum proficency with the eridian weapons to make them viable. Hours of grinding later made for a massive disappointment. However, as stated in the video the thunder storm is actually pretty decent in CQC. Also, shooting corpses with the thunderstorm is a joy since the knockback with the weapon is one, if not the greatest in the game if i recall correctly.
They are pretty decent with max proficiency and I found the best way to level up weapon classes are killing the Eridian before you head to the vault cause they drop a good amount of XP even if you are several levels higher but this is only good if you are using Mordecai since he can bypass shields
A low level, decent parts lightning can actually be pretty good early on. Also, have a cannon on the first play through in the zombie DLC, group them up and fire once or twice.
Super Shadow 99 wait WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT SINCE WHEN COULD MORDACAI DO THAT HE WAS LITERALL THE ONLY CHARACTER I PLAYED I TRIED OTHERS BUT COULDNT GET INTO THEM SINCE WHEN COULD MORDO BOI SHOOT THROUGH SHIELDS
Sometimes, when I was lucky enough to find multiple thunder storms with nearly same base damages I would load 3 or 4 into my load out, the amount of ass that kicks is damn near inconceivable. Boss battles never ended so fast.
The best way to get more shots with all of these is to have mutiple in your invintory In fact i had a brick that had 4 eriduim shot guns and i was pretty invinsible
My first play through I got a somehow glitched 001 cannon without a scope that did "9999999..." damage and fired quite fast without draining the charge (killed anything in one hit even bosses)
i recall my first kill on Crawmerax, me and my buddy tagged teamed him with two Lilith's useing the Thunder Storm, that shock shotgun is lethal on him.
My first eridian weapon (the cannon) felt way better than it really was, i got it in a chest RIGHT after my first encounter with the eridians in the "ghosts of the vault" sidequest. it just felt grand to get such an alien looking gun at a pretty low level, i used it for a bit but damn was it underwhelming for such a "fateful encounter"
i felt the same way about it, but then again the cannon is one of, if not the worst eridian weapon. if i had gotten the thunder storm or the eridian lightning instead it would've been so much better. I'm surprised he didn't list the eridian lightning to be completely honest, it carried me such a long way through the game and almost always killed with one shot
My personal use of eridian weapons was always to collect thunder storms, keep the strongest four and use only those. After that, you can just keep using them and switching to the next one after running out of ammo. Probably doesn't sound that great, but I was able to rush into any squad of enemies like that.
I'm starting to use them more, one thing people miss most in bl1 is weapon proficiency, the more you use the gun the better the bonus, since the eridian guns are pretty rare during a normal play through no one levels up its proficiency, the max proficiency bonus is like +48% damage and +102% cooldown rate, which could make these guns much better
I wish more of them had elemental versions. A fire Mercurial blaster might be fairly decent, especially if there were legendary or pearlescent eridan weapons.
I did not use them much, but in my opinion they were far in a way worse than even the standard purple weapons. They did too little damage, and took too long to recharge.
Makes me wonder if T.K came across one of these "wave" rifles and somehow reverse engineered one. Side note- The larger oscillations on his shotgun could likely be from not being able to tune the weapon right after losing his eye sight.
I discovered that the thunderstorm gun has a hidden effect. It completely destroys flying things like rakks and stuff. I just kind of aim it upward and all the rakks in the vicinity die from the lightning strike + chain lightning. It's a good weapon against flying enemies, but not very strong against ground enemies.
Some of the eridian weapons have very vast bullets and one of them ( sniper rifle ) has the fastest in the game (also the most accurate one out of all of them) and the same gun has the fastest recharge rate
Agreed. I've always liked using the Thunder Storm because of its high damage potential. It's not so great on its own, but if you're going for a full Eridian build (all four slots using Eridian weapons), you'll want this one in there for a quick swap to deal some damage. It can be invaluable for saving you from death if your enemies are swarming you. Just pay close attention to how many shots it has and swap it out the minute it's out of "ammo" or you'll die waiting for it to recharge like I used to do soooo much when I first made an Eridian build.
The eridian weapons are ridiculously underpowered. If you are so OC and want to level its proficiency, you will have a hard time; It deals little to no damage on normal to large spiderants, lance and bruisers. The same issue with the launcher where they deal little to no damage on devastators like Knoxx, large enemies and other badass variants
I seriously hope to see a comeback of the eridian guns in borderlands 3, the E tech and moonstone weapons were pretty cool, but eridian weapons were by far the most unique type of weapon in the entire franchise
Ive got about 30 or so pearlescents through farming them from craw or armory, but NEVER EVER saw a single legendary eridian. Those things are so freakin rare... Only surpassed by the Invader Nemesis.
I remember getting a thunderstorm around level 12-ish i think? That thing literrally carried me to endgame, it was amazing. Its one of my favorite guns i've used in games period. I hope bl3 reintroduces the eldritch guns, tbe idea for them is fantastic
9:20 you killed 4 skags and the magazine is empty... and the gun has a half hour recharge time. You have to switch to a double anarchy. By the way lets stick with it because it is a great weapon. Great design.
... i didn't know there are that many Eridian weapons, have only seen 5 ... Thunderstorm is very nice, always carry one with Lilith for bandits ... Lightning served quite well too, at least in first playthrough ...
I am never able to play with eridian weapons. They are just depleted too fast and then you wait too much, and meanwhile you wasted all the shots in one enemy. I thought for a while if I try to maximize the weapon level type (that stat that goes up if you play the same weapon type, not the level of the weapon) maybe the depletion rate will increase, but it takes a long, and I end up increasing regular weapon types levels. Every time I try to play, I just quit using them, and use regular weapons instead. The same with e-tech weapons on BL2. Also why do Rocket Launchers so horrible?
I personally love most of the eridian weapons. But only when they have the right battery, the skinny little phallic one with a tip on it, it makes them charge super fast, which is good for getting the elements on the enemy and then switching to another weapon.
My first Eridian Weapon was the Thunderstorm.. Or was it the Lightning? I forget, either way I fibd those 2 are the best in the game or at least the main game. The shotguns Shock DOT is insane.
I actually used these weapons a fair bit myself. Got a weapon proficiency over 36 with them. Stack them in 3 weapon slots and you can keep switching Between then whenever their charge is empty. I had an SMG as my 4th just in case stuff hit the fan - which was rare tbf. Was fun never needing to reload. There are also different "crystal" parts (with the blue tracing glowing effects) that determine max charge/recharge speed and high damage/slow recharge/minimum charge and things like that. Very cool finding a god roll on some of em - especially the wave blaster. Can snipe enemies from a distance with it and not worry bout anything haha.
I actually really like these weapons, just a shame about the recharge. I've tried every combination, and the mags although have own properties, don't make enough difference. I really like firebomb with "anarchy, Anarchy" Prefix and same prefix's on the Canon, 5x electro-projectiles !! I really like the lightning sniper and the thunder storm best. , again, just a shame about recharge.
They say Borderlands 2 is harder than 1. *FFYL-BL1:* The camera falls SIDEWAYS and your accuracy is REDUCED TO DEATH. Also, the screen gets reaaaally dark. *FFYL-BL2* REDUCED accuracy, camera progressively turns black, but slowly, 10%+ recoil. *AI- BL1* Not that hard, most mob enemies die in... What? 4-12 shots? Their attacks aren't that conplicated to counter/dodge, like the Whelp Skag's Leap Bite. *AI-BL2* A bit harder, normal mob enemies die in 8-19 shots. The skag's Leap Bite can't be dodged normally, but the skag can be distracted. *Enviroment-BL1* Mostly open places, with some cover, some barrels and some corners. Small-Big size. *Enviroment-BL2* Mostly medium areas, with cover, a lot of curves, ramps and even barrels, but a bit more. Medium-Large maps. *Weapons-BL1* Snipers (regardless of manufacturer) always have terrible fire rate, but the rest can be 1.5 to 10.5 fire rate. Accuracy is medium to good. Recoil is medium. *Weapons-BL2* Jakobs snipers (white, blue and legendary) are Bolt-Actions, most other weapons have 4.5 to 10.3 fire rate. Accuracy is medium to really good. Recoil is mostly low. *These informations might be wrong, but yeah.*
Oh man, once I started finding eridian weapons, that’s all I’d use trying to level up the recharge rate through the weapon skill chart. I can’t tell you how much time I’d waste standing behind cover so my guns could recharge. 😂 That said, once I leveled up my gun skills with eridian type weapons, I was freakin unstoppable in that game.
My main char in Borderlands is Roland, as he is the 'Well Rounded' OP char (proven by his game breaking increased mag size skills). But as far as Eridian weapons go, I would disagree with your assesment up through the #2 spot. This video is just however your opinion and I whole-fully respect that. The following is also just my opinion. On the blaster rifles, they are cool, but I sell all wave rifles as soon as I can. The homing shot rifles are better to me but again sold the instant I get them or until I get a standard rifle (#6), and those I keep until I manage to find a mecurial Rifle (#2 or 3 for me), the best in my mind: same damage per shot as a standard with the same recoil and accuracy, the downside being the increased fire rate which I am used to. The cannons should be last on this list if at all. Yes they are considered to deal explosive damage by the community, but none of the player skills that increase explosive or elemental damage actually work with any of the Cannons. Sorry everyone, but these (literally & figuratively) bad boys are only standard ballistic damage dealers. I would say the lightning rifle (the other #2 or 3) is better than the shock rifle(#7) even with its higher cost per shot. I feel I can, even on Brick, one shot most enemies with or without a shield with lightning rifles. Also, lightning rifles are guaranteed to spawn in game with a scope, while shock rifles can spawn with almost(?) any sight in the game. The only down-side to lightning rifles is their tendency to shoot slighty up and to the right off center when scoped in. The shock rifle's saving grace is its (however unreliable) ricocheting projectiles. You covered fire and acid rifles well, and respectfully i would rank them #5 and #4. (I got used to the arcing projectiles these use because I got used to using Borderlands 2's E-tech shotguns.) #1 I agree with being the Thunder Storm. Easily the most powerful Eridian weapon next to the cannons, and is built for close to medium range encounters. Synergizes well with Lilith's and Roland's skills, and an overall viable shotgun replacement for anyone who plays Borderlands. Almost always procs DoT elemental damage if more than 1 projectile hits. Only downside is the special enemies that heal off shock damage in the first DLC for the game. (Zombie Island for those who didn't know.)
Everything about all of these is so frustrating. You're struggling to take down basic bandits! Mobbing should be like 1 hit kills, and its worse that you're struggling with Lilith because she's the BEST at using elemental weapons like these. The first time we see an Eridian weapon we lose our minds because alien tech HAS to be incredible and since we've most likely not seen one in the game before killing Master McCloud near the end of the game and right before we start facing the guardians who are all shield. That infinite ammo stat, the awesome look, and then as soon as we shoot our first enemy, we immediately go to the wikis to find out why the hell it sucks so bad at killing anything. Then when we see that they just overall suck at everything, we throw it away and never look back unless we feel it is absolutely neccessary to get that Egun skill to 50, painstakingly suffer through it, and then never ever ever touch one again on that character. These should have been MONSTROUS weapons which were super rare to find, among the top tier of each weapon class. Instead they are all trash tier, the best of which by your own video takes precise point blank aiming to even kill the weakest mobs in the game before needing put away for recharge while you use literally anything else and get kills faster. My very first playthrough of BL2 I got an Infinity pistol at lv 10 and that is the standard of power I feel Eridian weapons should have been at- infinite never ending shots, solid damage for that never ending firing. Doesn't HAVE to be the best, but the lack of reloads should have made them better than other weapons which were interrupted by reloading esp when reloads take up so much kill skill up time.
Good demonstration of gameplay showing just how worthless they are. Personally I simply ignore them and leave them in their treasure box. Want to die.........be constantly in FFYL........give an Eridian weapon a try. Even the Alien Eridians do not use these..........Lol. Cheers Kit
eridian guns imo work well with lilith for... obvious reasons... "you get a DoT ! you get a DoT ! EVERYONE GETS A DOT! ... also heres some blue shiny quote unquote bullets for ya'll as well! "
Surprised you didn’t put Eridian Lightning, but eh, everyone has a right for opinion. Eridian Lightning was the best Eridian for me. I used Thunder Storm and, being my first Eridian weapon, I went to Old Haven and started to up my proficiency. Was quite nice, even got another Thunder Storm from a soldier. Mercurial blaster was a really great energy assault rifle for me, but for soft targets only (I don’t know if you can call Spiderants soft, but they were not hard to fight with, at least for me). The weapon is great if your enemy is melee or stands still. With soldier’s skill where you get fire rate boost after a kill, the thing could wreck even a Bruiser if most of the shots were critical. Eridian Lightning was my favourite of them all though. I couldn’t dream more of finding a sniper rifle like this. Seeing the thunder and knowing that this weapon was similar to Gauss gun (at least, projectile speed was almost the same) it was easy to make corrections to my aim so that I could hit even a moving target somewhere far away. The only disappointment this weapon brought me was that it had a scope with the magnification an assault rifle’s scope would give you. Man, it sucked. Especially with Muciber turrets. Hitting the head of the gunner was quite a challenge with this one. Only some of Eridian weapons are good. I don’t like the cannon, since it always does little damage for me, even when in the stats it’s written ~2000 worth of damage.
How are your enemies level 63? I've completed the second play through and done one DLC, now in the next DLC, I'm level 61 and all my enemies are level 54. What gives?
Eridian weapons is basically a gimmick, you either like it or you dislike it. Other than said gimmick, there isn't much to them. The first time you even knew they existed is probably from the one Crimson Lance boss that have a guaranteed drop. But by that time you already leveled your proficiency with your preferred guns quite a lot (and probably picked up a Legendary or two already), and it's a pain to do it all over again, especially when you are reaching end game. Now move on to the "no ammo" part, again at this point in the game ammo should not be a problem for any player that are older than 12. Then there's the fact that it take longer to recharge an Eridian gun than simply put a new clip into your standard guns (and that doesn't even taking proficiency into account). Even in this video you can see that he killed the bandit quicker by simply unloading an smg clip into their face as opposed to using the Eridian gun. Then there's aesthetic, all of them are sort of bland with the mostly white skin, and the energy rounds doesn't have the "boom" like your standard guns would. 'Pew pew' will never beat 'bang bang' imo. Elemental effects is also doesn't stand out that much. In conclusion, I think Eridian guns is in the solid mediocre tier.
I like Eridian Guns. It just sucks that all of them you need to get the fairly early in the game to make future ones usable because of the stupid weapon proficiency mechanic in Borderlands 1. Laser Guns, to me, in the Pre-Sequel feel like what Eridian Guns should have been if there wasn't that whole proficiency thing in the game.
Borderlands 1 was the only game I played when I was 6. I got the game of the year edition for my birthday and played it nonstop. I met this kid online and his name was like Bloodshot or Handshot or something like that, but he gave me a modded shield and a modded invisible gun which one shot everyone except for cramerax because you had to shoot the purple spots. My xbox glitched and my friends list was wiped and I never played with him again. Those were the days. My name on the 360 was really bad too. Poopierichie
In my opinion when it comes to eridian and making the most out of them you just HAVE to shoot til no charge, then SWAP to your normal weapon. I go crazy when waiting for the charge otherwise. But tbh I only ever used them to try max out my proficiency stats
Seeing game-play for this game makes it seem so dated now compared to the new borderlands games. I mean, I know it's old, but I didn't think it aged this bad, in terms of graphics and animation at least.
Andrew Guinn the graphics of borderlands 1 are far superior in my eyes It was meant to have that cartoony comic book style to it. Borderlands 2 doesn't have that as much. Don't get me wrong borderlands 2 is gorgeous, just strayed off from the original a lot. Animation is kinda wonky I do agree on that though.
+Fireteen97 dude what??? borderlands was supposed to be a realistic call of duty game They changed it last minute because of hate for more realistic games
I don't think the graphics are the problem, but rather the design. The colors are dull and the settings are more realistic and dreary. The other games really push that cartoony style to make better designed levels, with brighter colors. The Dust most closely resembles the original game, but compared to other locations in Borderlands 2 like the bright green Caustic Caverns and the deep purple Eridium Blight, it just doesn't look as good.
I recently started re-playing Borderlands 1 on my Xbox One and I am just now learning that legendaries and all those rare weapons are a thing in B1!???? I played it sooooooooo many times back on Ps3 and don’t remember getting any legendaries or anything like that.
They should bring back eridian weapons, and to fix the problem with having to wait for them to recharge, maybe have a quick time event to instantly charge them like in the modern battlefront games
hey puma you ok? Can you do best and worst skills for borderlands 1? also the only reason I farmed eridiim guns were because the destroyer has an insane health pool and it's nice to have a backup weapon. infinity for bl2 and eridian weps for bl1
Idk if it's the lvl of your weapons or something or I just had a really good build but when I was 12 with Roland my weapons would do like 20k per shot with ar's and I used the one loot room and destroyer to get good loot I got so bored to kill them in one shot I stopped playing
As for me, eridian guns is such a waste of time to get them and a waste of nerves to get a high level of using them. I dropped this idea when got 2nd level and sold all this guns. Even most of hyperion epic guns at the same level look cooler thanks to higher accuracy.
That one pistol with all the elements, is that modded with willow tree? The one I made a long time ago on my 360 if I ads and empty the clip my 360 would freeze 😂good times! Great video!
hey there. new to your channel and like the content. decent video but out of the Eridium blasters, i didn't see the "ball blaster" what is nice about that one is that it's pretty much the first borderlands 2 tourge assault rifle in borderlands 1 but using the lightning element. also that hole video about lilith using them which is nice considering you get high elemental performance out of them but that for ones who goes for lilith.
How you gonna say that the fire/glob gun is better than the lightning? It was actually a viable sniper at times, when I never even used the corrosive/fire eridian weapons I picked up.
My question is why the hell do you like eridian weapons, man they are straight trash and who cares if they have infinite ammo, ammo is abundant in B1 and Marcus' vendors are everywhere. No hate i love your videos
I remember before any dlc or anything on the ps3 when i had a pearlecent eridian weapon, what happened to that gun? I farmed for days after days to get it. It was the absolute best gun in the game, ive been searching for a vidoe on it but cant find it. But it used to be everywhere when the game first came out, what happened?
