Appreciate this video. I’m a 37 year old nurse that had a BP of 165/115 the other day. I noticed my blood flow is less in my right arm now. Doc put me on Lisinopril to start. I’m just hoping the doctor is knowledgeable of future trends and research in medicine (he’s about my age). I bought kyolic and kimchi… I’ve stopped eating bread, cereal, oatmeal, etc.. mostly eating vegetables and some meat now.

@@UnknownUser-sc6jx A number of years ago I went to a men’s clinic and had a lot of labs drawn, sleep study, and VS checked. My BP was sort of high. I was told I have the start of metabolic syndrome which could lead to the stuff I’m now experiencing. However, I kind of forgot about what was said and still continued to do what I wanted to do. I had obtained waivers for vaccinations at work so… It would be irrelevant in this case.

EVERY DAY, I start my one meal a day with a cup of sauerkraut and kimchi, I follow that with a BIG A$$, raw, multi-vegetable salad (I’m talking large popcorn bowl sized salad) consisting of leafy greens, mushrooms, bell peppers, shaved brussel sprouts, broccoli, raw yellow onion, cucumber, blueberries, blackberries and/or raspberries dressed with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, EVOO and balsamic vinegar. I then eat at least 100 grams of protein from a combination of sources…beef, salmon, sardines, eggs and dark meat roasted chicken. I also walk 8 miles every other day. I lost 50 lbs, got off 7 medications with doctor’s guidance and have had the best blood test results ever. I ONLY ALLOW these approved foods in my house. This means if I have a craving, I must get in my car and drive to Kroger. Usually, the cravings pass…BUT…I have made that drive. I relax at 11:00pm when Kroger closes. I started all of this January 2022. I still follow this lifestyle. I am rarely hungry. Last night I had a craving at midnight. I ate another cup of sauerkraut and kimchi and slept very soundly. As I write this, I will prepare 6 boiled eggs after I send this to you. I will peel them and take them with me to work. I will FORCE myself to start eating them at 4pm. At 5pm I will eat my BIG A$$ salad, eat 1 lb of wild caught sockeye salmon. I might finish with a can of wild caught sardines. I eat those outside because they stink up the house. YOU CAN DO THIS….I had a horrible diet for most of my 60 years. I traveled extensively, ate three meals a day and snacked on Doritos, Peanut M&Ms, Pretzels washed down with an orange gatorade…EVERY night I was on the road. Mr. Glover…YOU CAN DO THIS.

Great info! I've been thinking of adding KIMCHI back into my diet, the Dr. is correct! Because of arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis issues with associated inflammation, I went grain free two and a half years ago. Gave up high oxalate veggies second (look up oxalates Sally K. Norton), so a mostly carnivore way of eating has been great. Beef, beef jerky, lamb, Bison, sardines/seafood, 5%fat plain Greek yogurt, eggs, butter. I'm quite sure that my earlier life as a vegetarian for MANY years of eating toxic high oxalate plants (spinach, chard, most beans, sweet potato, potato, almonds and more) are the root cause of much pain and suffering for myself and others. So glad I stopped by to hear this very good info...cabbage is low oxalate anyway, so it is high time I add kimchi back into my LIFE! Thank you Dr.!

But like Taurine it was surpassed by many other flashy supplements promising everything short of being resurrected when you die. I have been on and off the wagon regarding healthy eating. But one thing has remained fairly constant - I have always had reasonable cholesterol panels. I think both Taurine and Kyolic are two of the best supplements you can take. One remark about the fish... Cold water fish are the best, and if you are eating farmed Salmon, you are wasting your time, or even making your health worse... the fish don't make the Omega 3 oil, they get it from their diet in the wild, and farmed fish are fed pellets which don't have the Omega 3 to get passed up the food chain... Krill is the better oil as a supplement, because it is food that creates the Omega 3 for further up the food chain, without the potential of mercury contamination or such... some of which may get into the processing chain...

Thank you for this video.Would like to know---why is there not a method found to remove plaque in the veins surgically when there are so many strides made in valve replacements,stent inplantments etc?
@howardstewart2549
@howardstewart2549 26 дней назад
Plaque is only found in the arteries. serum cholesterol is an immune defense response to inflammation & anabolic(deoxygenated) cholesterol, when it reacts with calcium& other substances( fatty & enzymes & hormones traveling through the arteries), hardens (calcifies) within the artery wall to become hard plaque. If inflammation is ongoing, soft plaque, which is the harmful, deadly form of plaque, doesn’t calcify. I know of no therapy,commercially at least, that can remove plaque to improve health, other than to surgically implant stents, for last resort. Stents don’t prevent heart attack or stroke. Remember, I’m not a doctor & I’m not giving medical advice. Got to cover our asses, nowadays, when giving advice or opinion. Free speech in the U.S.A. has become a joke, especially with respect to medical therapy, & claims for curing pathologies.

28:12 Wait natto in a cup of coffee! that s wild 😮 I always was disgusted by the smell of the rotten fish,shrimp, eggs back in my parent s kitchen… So, they were actually on the healthy path in feeding me all the fermented food cabbages,radish, pumpkins leafs, black garlic,mung beans. And all the very bitter/sour plants, leaf, fruits the Bitter melon.

I wondered about this myself, but I think he's referring to Nattokinase as a supplement as he says he's adding that along with the Kyolic back into his supplement routine. Which is confusing to me anyway, because enzymes in general are recommended to be taken on an empty stomach... so idk.

For those of you considering adding fermented stuff to your diet (but afraid of disgusting smell/taste of natto or kimchi), start with sauerkraut or semipickled cucumbers (3 to 7 days of fermentation without vinegar). Both items smell nicely, are crispy and taste great if prepped by a knowledgeable person. Slavic stores must be an appropriate source of both.

Dr. Ford, been "into" keto since "The New Atkins Diet" ~~ 2012. Just recently got much more active, won't go into the details but do monitor my GKI with a daily Keto-Mojo monitor. My blood pressure has dropped, in my two last doctor visits to 103/55. Not sure if that a good thing (cold plaques, etc) or a problem. Not asking for a long explanation - just a simple -- "Good" or "Bad".

I was eating nato every day for about a month, the sliminess is an acquired tolerance then I noticed I had an unholy smelt flatulence , I would continue to buy it hoping for a change of it , , but I think only in Hawaii is sold at the supermarket not where I’m now , I do believe its pros are stronger than its cons , just eat it once a week

I don't care so much for Kimchi. But I started using Kefir from Alexandre A@ milk and Kombacha each every other day. I have not though clearer or had so much energy in many years. Gotta get Nato and garlic etc. but I think the kefir and Kombacha are fine sub's for the Kimchi. Thanks for your wonderful video.

A simplistic comment regarding Kimchi, could it be as simple as the fermented product had lower "sugar" content due to the fermentation, hence lower glucose and insulin spiking and corresponding results? The lesson being getting rid of simple sugars is healthy regardless of how it is done.

Better traceability. The olive oil in the bottle comes from one “farm” so to speak. Most olive oil comes from a variety of locations and it loses track or what kind of olive oil it actually is
