Introverted does not mean shy or unsocial. I am a VERY introverted person and teach and speak in public continually. But people exhaust me and I need alone time to recharge. Introverts are people who need time by themelves. There are shy people who are extroverts. They need the energy of people but are anxious around them.

While this may not be a status symbol I think it equates in terms of projecting confidence or presence. I live in a large metropolis near the financial district. I often see power players in well-fitting suits. One thing I almost never see is them walking with their face glued to a cell phone or plugged into one. Walking around staring at a phone gives the impression you are on someone else's leash or worse that you are afraid to be alone with your thoughts. I realize this is a generational divide but status is all about other people's perception. and often it is not consciously made.

I would add one more thing to an already great list...Fragrance. My philosophy; Appeal to as many senses as possible. Sight, car, suit, style... Sound, the manner in which you speak, word choice, etc... Smell, a great fragrance that matches your situation. Touch, firm hand shake, moisturized skin.

Another one out of the park Jeff. In my opinion this is one of the most important videos you’ve done. This video teaches some of the most important elements of being persuasive and successful. My father taught me how to be a man but it was my grandfather that taught me how to look like a gentleman. For people that may not have anyone in their life to mentor them in these skills this video is a game changer. Salute!

Great information I agree with everything you said .I am 62 was a sales consultant for a large furniture store and was required to dress in a suit or similar attire .I learned to make sure the suit looked tailored for me and everything needed to match it.People do judge you by your appearance fairly or unfairly and while I wasn't the top sales person often customers would say I bet your the top salesperson here aren't you? They said that because of how I was dressed ! Thanks again for your research !

@StyleOG: You made some excellent points! I was a bit of an introvert, but knew how to communicate. Alot of communication is non verbal. I stay up to par with my shoes/sneakers. I keep decent watches on my wrist. I keep my physique on point, and people always ask me questions on what exactly to do as far as discipline. Sometimes, I've noticed that when you conduct yourself well, it arouses jealousy with some brothers around you. The car we drive will always be a measurement lol! Not that I care for statuses, but I'm aware of what's happening around me.

This is one of your best videos. All great advice. You’re right you don’t have to break the bank to convey a certain style. I drive a Lincoln sedan and wear a Fendi watch. Not the most expensive stuff but I think I present myself in a pretty classy way.

Love this so much! I've heard of Monte Blanc but I'm not sure where 🤔. I agree being courteous has made people think I'm high class and even give me discounts for things or even free! I'm not wealthy but being well dressed and polite has worked in my favor !

Since you mentioned Mont Blanc, I still carry a pen. I have a couple of Mont Blanc rollerball pens - one black, the other blue. I'm still old-school, in that I like to put pen to paper when I jot down notes, or want to write down some quick information. A nice writing utensil also conveys a certain class.

Great video, Jeff. I noticed that you have on a well-tailored shirt, contrasting tie, and pocket square. Taken together, they also make a powerful statement about who you are. In addition to my wedding band on my left hand, I like to wear a signet or precious stone ring on my right hand. All of the above is appropriate in a semiformal business setting. If I am taking my wife out, I also wear a gold bracelet on my right wrist, since I wear my watch on my left. Salute!
