Dark denim and sweaters are my go too for fall. I usually wear boots with them. That overcoat would be a nice addition to my wardrobe. Thanks for the suggestion.

Was intrigued to see what would make the final ten! Think an important aspect you always include is the look-book images, yes it shows the item in question but also the massive importance of building an outfit properly; matching colours, matching styles etc... Top vid as always, might have been tempted to go with the grey wool trousers over the chinos, but that might mean a rework of the camel overcoat Then to a dark blue perhaps...

Great episode on the fall minimalist wardrobe. I am out here on the west coast but in the winter I like to step my game up. I was not to that far off, the tip for the over coat is the truth for in the city ( SF ).

Hey OG! Just watched the video, great work as always. Planning on getting a few things on your list. A few items on my fall wardrobe are a couple of long sleeve Henleys (burnt orange and an off white). In addition also have a few flannels. Great video Jeff. Most of the items you mentioned in your video I have myself. I also love V-neck sweaters and dark jeans. I own some brown sneakers and some brown dress and casual boots and shoes. Please do a video on fall and winter outerwear and sweaters .

I really thought you were going to say Chukka boot for #10. I just recently purchased a black pair for my son. Thanks to you. I got the Chelsea boot (brown) last year. He wore a few times. Trying to get him to not wear his sneakers 98% of the time. He's 18 - HS Senior. Timbs (2%) are cool but not everywhere either. He's going to be interviewing (colleges/ jobs) soon enough. This is a wonderful check list. Minimalist or otherwise. Appreciate it. Thanks again.

Okay, Jeff. I feel you on how nice that made-to-measure oxford looks, but for us off the rack guys, who makes the best one for a similarly high collar roll like yours? I've been looking for years and Brooks Brothers and Lands End no longer have a strong collar under $100. Salute!

Jeff, Solid list brother. I like the denim jacket but always found them to be restrictive (even the ones w/ stretch) and opt for over-shirts, bombers & Harrington type jackets. Tough call to leave off the either a flannel or donegal trouser. I agree that both are a tier above basic heavy weight chinos, cords, or jeans but clutch when you want to step it up but not be as formal as worsted wool. BTW, love the custom shirt. I think you did a feature on it in the past. Link in the description?

I agree on the Chukkas over sneakers in a fall wardrobe. In particular Clarks Men's Bushacre 2 Chukkas. The uppers are the same as the desert boots while the soles are not crepe sole but hard rubber sole.
