Really solid list here! I always have trouble remembering how many reigns someone has especially if it's multiple in a year. They kinda blur together. With that said Daniel Bryan def. deserves to be on the list as that belt actually elevated him and did what it was supposed to. Also Cesaro he was such a good US champ and I remember his reign I honestly can't believe he's only held it once! And the only one I remembered was a one time champ was Ambrose cause he held that belt forever with the shield...only downside is I can't recall him ever defending it. Lackluster reign. Good vid Zane!

Jonathan Oosthuis exactly politics backstage screwed him over that was when I learn the fans input doesn't matter the fans can cheer you for days and buy all your merch but it doesn't mean squat if Vince didn't approve you getting over which means your getting buried. I was more mad he sent Cena out there to do his dirty work.

Great list. Loved Rude at #1. I have misty water-coloured memories of 1992 WCW. Glad you addressed Ambrose. That reign was truly pointless outside of the visual of The Shield all with titles. He regularily went months without defending it. Not since Big Show's reign in 03-04 have I been so underwhelmed by a title reign.

Love the list as always, but how, how, HOW could you not give Tully Blanchard even an honorable mention? His feud with Magnum T.A. over the U.S. Title in 1984 was arguably the greatest feud in the championship's history. Not to mention the blow-off was the incredible "I Quit" Cage Match that stole the show at Starrcade '85.

I think Konnan's run during the mid 90s gets overlooked. He was also Mexican heavyweight champion at the time so his dual champ status was hyped up and as far as I know it's the only time there was a dual US/Mexican heavyweight champion.

@cjdouglas3464
@cjdouglas3464 6 лет назад
Antnony GableGate Agreed. Just got caught up the shield and thus the authority. It was one less thing the writers had worry about until they needed heat on evolution against the shield. And even then instead of having Ambrose lose it to someone that mattered at the time to give the belt some meaning (Batista, HHH) they gave it to sheamus who (through no fault of his own) wasted it until Rusev gave it some credibility
