People ask me all of the time what clipper do I like most. My first pair of clippers we're the Wahl Taper 2000. It wasn't the best but I got the job done. I've used Andis clippers but Wahl has some advantages over Andis that i prefer. Checkout this video and enjoy what I've experienced when using these tools.
*Wahl Legend has a Wedge Blade and not a Surgical blade

My grandfather, uncle and cousin were all barbers. My uncle told me about the senior clippers, I've been and still use the same clipper for over 15 years. They are the only ones I've used.

I own several wahl clippers. I the the Legends are the most underrated Wahl clippers hands down...cut beautifully, further extension on the lever, the stagger teeth cut blade with the surgical blade made this clipper a real heavy hitter, plus the V9000 motor gives it tremendous power. Only wish it came cordless!

Great video bro. Thank you! I wanted your opinion since your a fellow Wahl user. I have a pair of the corded magic clips with the surgical blade, and a set of original seniors. I absolutely loved the set of Oster Fast feeds I used because they saved me from running up and down through the guards with the long travel lever. Is this Wahls answer to the fast feeds? Man...the power of the wahl with the lever range of the feeds. Thoughts? Thank you!

Uncle, the distinctive feature of the Wahl models is the motor, and the blade. That being said, most people could buy the different blades for about $20. If you know how to change and align the blades, you can just switch them back and forth. As for the motor units, anyone with mechanical and electrical experience can upgrade to the V9000 motor. You need the field coil, and mating armature. Some people may change the springs and cord, but it's not necessary. Of course, Wahl would never suggest that you can order the parts and upgrade cheap clippers to the strongest motor, and professional blade set.

The corded Magic Clips are amazing. They don't come with the crunch blade but in typical Wahl fashion, the blades can be interchanged.

I put that crunch blade on my Seniors and my Babyliss fx880. The cut game did change when I did make that change. It made the Babyliss clippers a million times better.

Try the crunch surgical blade on the senior ..... It's a beast I have Andis Masters and the Phat Masters with the Wahl senior surgical crunch blade. That change the game ... No guards needed at all .. From balding straight to #2 with no guards ... Fading never felt or look so sweet .. Try it

I have three legend I love I have a magic cordless blade so you recommend put the smoother to the blade with the wedge blade only the cutting blade?

Juan Manuel I switched my 1919 blade and blade slide with the legends. Magic clips have a great blade setup too. You don’t have to switch those out but feel free and experiment

Legend is a classic for sure!!! I love it! Haven’t used it since I went full cordless but if I ever get a corded clipper it’s definitely the legend for sure

Reggie, two questions. Do you zero gap your clippers, specifically your Legends? And number 2, why do the Seniors cost more than the Legend?

Yes I do. I love having @scissors_clinic zero gapping and tuning my clippers. The legend isn't the flagship model. The senior is the standard. But the legend is the best in my opinion. More bang for the buck

I have the Icon (exact same thing as the sterling 9), and it's pretty decent. I honestly think it's the same thing as a standard senior, just with a cheaper housing. That's the only thing that bothers me, the body feels a tad flimsy. Other than that, powers through the thickest hair and does decent fades.

After watching a lot of reviews on RU-vid I was settling for the Wahl Hero but I heard from that it burns out faster. Now I am having the dilemma of choosing between the hero and the legend. I will like to know which one gives a closer shave between the Hero and the legend and which one lasts longer.

Chie Parras I don’t think they are a solid buy. They are repainted cordless designers but cost more money. I would recommend that you buy the cordless magic clips instead

@@ReggieWinston well for my use it is just a smoother cut no pulling and the size is a little more compact than some others. Its a little more compact than the oyster 76 model. And it is corded which i prefer over cordless as the batteries doesn't seem to last in many cordless clippers. Also i like the removal blades better than the adjustable at lest for my use as i like that smooth to the skin shave which is very easy to switch blades to a #00000 or a outliner blade for that bald shave. Also its nice the oyster and Andis blades are interchangeable with each other. But everyone each to their own.

Victor Maldonado I took off the blade and this whole thing with lever from my wahl legend and placed it into Magic Clipp Man, this “creature” was god damn the best clipper that I used in my life I know one method to make the «wahl legend madness» (features about wild lever area) from ANY wahl clipper

Clipper companies will NEVER make a perfect product. You can tell how everything is only perfect if it's modified. When they make a perfect product, they lose sales on all the accessories. It's just part of the clipper game lol

they are great for preserving your trimmers. However, if you have a detachable clipper consider purchasing a outliner blade from Andis
