Honestly I prefer the flavour on the fan-made card, especially considering the expansion was murder-mystery themed.

Because clearly, each hearthstone hero is a 1 mana 1/1.

you could buff that card by making it as a quest. it will be a good quest to be the first universal one. have it play hero power like 7 times or something. 7 times hero power takes time but can be cheated with other new hero power quests.

I feel it's still too good. With a minion on the opposing board and just Siamat on the player's board, peeled banana still gives a 50/50 chance of attacking opposing face with that effect. I think that's enough of a chance to make it still worth the chance of 12 smorc damage for only that 7-mana play.

I was thinking it should only work on the minion's next attack, so it gets one missed attack and goes back to normal. Would solve the Siamat issue somewhat

@@joshuawenninger6439 You should also take into account that by changing it to "target" it also includes the Hunter's minions. So the hunter would need to have an empty board against an oponent's one minion. Now you ask yourself the question: is trading in your entire board and possibly some other cards from your hand to get that setup worth a 25% chance of 12 damage to face? Another two-card combo that achieves the same effect is double kill command + hero power, except that doesn't have a 25% chance of hitting your face instead and you get to keep your board.

@@TheZomboy11 That's not how packs work, in Hearthstone or any other similar card game. The probability of getting a card of a given rarity is unrelated to how many cards of each rarity are in the set, and the number of common cards printed in a set is always low enough that most people will get all of them, which in Hearthstone means that Blizzard can print any kind of garbage on a portion of their common cards, since you'll just wind up converting them to dust after pulling every single one twice.

@@alexstewart9592 If the average pack has less useful cards, due to the fact that the cards have no effects, then people are forced into buying more packs to get more good cards.

@@Evan_Schaefering I know that things involving probability are often unintuitive, but you've accidentally misunderstood how it typically goes. In order to build a good deck (even a budget one), you need a substantual number of the more complex cards, which are almost always Rare and Epic cards, and in the process of getting them you will either open enough packs to pull every common in the set twice, or start disenchanting all the commons that don't fit into your specific desired decks. In the long run the "average" quality of the packs is unaffected by the "average" quality of a Common card, as in the long run the total value of pulling a common card is a bit of extra dust in the bank, not a new card, and this happens well before the higher-rarity cards in the set lose their value as cards, and at a rate which is completly independant of how good the common cards actually are.

Tutumcorda his design rating is based on how likely it would be printed in Hearthstone. He has made it clear so many times that he doesn’t care how cool a card is for that rating. I always found it stupid, but here he is just contradicting himself.

I mean I agree, the text said "Reno Jackson was only one Gatling wand away from becoming the worlds most terrifying mage" Which would imply that he was NOT a mage before he obtained the gatling wand. So agreed.

well, you would be able to play a single taunt and then just make their minion hit only face xD That's quite an interesting tool if your taunt is 6/6 windfury Siamat) Also its hilarious with Hyena and multiple beasts on board. Might be fun thing

@@rorre1650 Sure but you just played a 6/6 taunt windfury siamat, which they can deal with in all usual ways which don't involve them having a minion on the board. But I think it would be a cool card, especially if there is a lot of stuff on the board and taunt/no taunt

There's a hilarious OTK with mad summoner, though requires a turn of Thaurissan. Unlicensed Apothecary>Treachery>Summoner.

but the thing is, that Deck Helper works well... and if Sappy the Unwanted will be a good card, Deck Helper will always suggest you to pick Sappy into your deck. Lul

@@rorre1650 if one of the three choices would be Sappy might that still be fine? Maybe not. Perhaps an infinite Sappy would be unacceptable, especially for Arena

No that would be a blatantly unfair card. Having an effect based on the size of your collection rewards whales and punishes new and f2p players.

I'm assuming you play the Twig on turn 4, then the Murloc on 5 and you discover a 2 mana weapon so you can immediately jump to 10 mana. That's only slightly more degenerate than what Druids can do right now, usually a Druid has 7-8 mana on turn 5

@@Italianchef26 well, the enemy has to have played a two mana weapon for that to work, since the pool is only weapons played that turn, wich would also include the twig

Yeah, it was really fitting. In case you didn't know already, and as the url at the bottom left suggests, this is from Wronchi Animation. The clip is from an animation that Blizzard sponsored to advertise One Night In Karazhan which had only been recently announced at the time.

yeah, and simply "infinite" (around 20 in real game) Snip-Snap won't win you the game. There is a warlock deck in wild with Snip-Snap combo, its quite balanced there, and I'd say that having 3 certain cards in hand is much easier task than 10 cards handsize AND 2 certain cards, each of them legendary (1 copy in deck). That's not quite easier than MechaThun warlock, and MechaThun warlock in standard now isn't quite a thing

@@Skullhawk13 I agree, I just tried to point out that trump was a bit off with his calculation, still a pretty ridiculous combo, but you need to have exactly 10 cards which is definitlty harder than 9. I wouldn't want to have this card in standard though.

Was actually replying to the other person, I don't have strong feelings either way to your thought process. I mean eh, infinite combos are bad either way, but at the same time blizzard seems fond of printing them.

Orowaxx i feel like the author wanted it to be more disruptive so maybe “give an enemy minion” or “attack the wrong character” if you give your own minion a 100% chance to attack the wrong character i think its perfect

How about "give an enemy minion 100% chance to attack the wrong target" keeps the jank away and makes sure you can only use it as a debuff.

with that text it will discover you Sappy, if only the minion gonna be any good xD I mean, when you take one thing out of deck and then autocomplete it, Deck Helper looks for the most winrate cards... And that can be the exact thing you took.

@@rorre1650 My problem with the card right now is purely the fact that auto complete considers your personal collection. If it didn't then it'd be perfect lol

@@oireal7261 even considering only personal collection, it would be a bit broken just discovering itself one by one... even simple infinite Zola was quite tough to deal with, while this one ALWAYS will be infinite no matter what your opponent tries to do. That might be insta-death for all the control decks, you can't silence it or something, its just an infinite value in any deck you put it into. Not really fun to play against, it certainly should get some text that prevents it from discovering itself

@@rorre1650 It wouldn't be insta-death at all lol. You're denoting 9 mana each turn for 3 2/2s. It's a worse Walnut Sprite. Plus, if a control deck can't close out the late game, then it's not really a control deck. They'd finish the game before it was an issue.

@@oireal7261 you're muss up control and midrange/combo decks. Control decks wincondition is to wait till your opponent will have no resources and then win.

i think it's more likely that i'm confusing it with gwents immune system, since there you actually can't target the thing.

The card is flawed in that it ultimately limits all future rush minions to ever be printed, since they could always be abused for absurd amounta of face damage with Banana Peel.

Other way around, minion comes into play first, then the battle cry triggers.
