Actor John Hamm from Mad Men graduated from Mizzou, and Brad Pitt is also from Missouri. Great looking guys!! I'm from Lexington MO (home of the Minutemen); my dad was the site administrator of the Battle of Lexington state site in the 80's. Awesome history there because as you know Missouri was split during the Civil War.
You forgot our number one horror icon. Our lord of the netherrealm! He who delights in humiliation and discomfort! Been in the same film as Boris Karloff! Vincent Price!

@@wiserlivingrealty hahaha! Love your videos. I’m a MO native and an amateur historian. So, I really enjoy watching. I went to SMS back before the name change to MO State. Best of luck to you.
Yogi Berra was born in St. Louis. Then there's 8 time world champion wrestler Harley Race born in Quitman. And probably the most famous Missourian in history, Samuel Clemens? (Mark Twain).
These are good thank you! Also we wanted to add Paul Rudd...but he is mostly from the Kansas side of the Kansas City area... else we would have put him in! 😂
What! John Goodman!?! That's awesome! I got to meet him with my parents years ago, I had no clue about most of these people. Awesome video man. Ps. 1990 is the best year...
As a native Missourian who has lived in Nebraska for a long time, I’d mention our famous Missouri military leaders. How about John J. Pershing and Omar Bradley. Both generals and very important in WWI (General Pershing) and WWII (General Bradley).
Back in the late 70's early 80's i went to Central high school and worked as stage crew, one night i was up in the projection booth looking around there was box that used be for electoral wiring inside was covered with past students signatures was surprised to find Bob Barkers in there. been close to 40 years and i know the stage has at least 1 major over hall since then so im not sure if it still there.
That's pretty cool! It's hard not to know about Bob Barker. 😂 And he was a really good guy. I would hope they would hang it up somewhere! Especially since he was a school celebrity.
@@cwfan2 Barker met his future wife, Dorothy Jo Gideon, at an Ella Fitzgerald concert while he was attending high school in Missouri; they began dating when he was 15.[6] He attended Drury College (now Drury University) in Springfield, Missouri, on a basketball athletic scholarship.[1] He was a member of the Epsilon Beta chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity at Drury.[7] He joined the United States Navy Reserve in 1943 during World War II to train as a fighter pilot, but did not serve on active duty. During leave from the military, he married Dorothy Jo[6] on January 12, 1945.[8] After the war, he returned to Drury to finish his education, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in economics.[1]-wiki

Emmett Kelly, actor/comedian, General John Pershing, JC Penney,
Yes, Truman for sure. I grew up in Grandview and was a band kid so we had to lead the Harry’s Hay Days parade each May. It was soooo long back then, about 4.5 miles. Not kidding!!! It always seemed to fall on prom day, too. So convenient! So we would rush from that, sweaty and exhausted to shower, and to hair appointments and then to our dates. Good memories now. 😂
Don't forget Paul Henning he created One of the greatest shows ever to grace the TV The Beverly Hillbilly's. He also made Petticoat junction and help write for green acres.
@@wiserlivingrealty Paul Henning is buried in Tuscumbia Mo. and he and his late wife donated the Henning property outside Springfield to the state. He filmed an episode of "Beverly Hillbillies" at Silver Dollar City.

I wasn't familiar with Billie Burke! Looks like she played Glenda in Wizard of Oz. Are you sure she was from Missouri? I don't see anything about how she was from Missouri though?
