"It's so stinkin' handy" 😅 talking about your grapple!!! Your NEW property is beautiful!!!! My favorite attachment of yours...is your wood chipper. Comment: Your editing is so smooth!!! AND I will check out your challenges collaborations!!!!
Thanks Ed. Two little things that should have been a factory additions that I find essential. #1 Horn #2 Mirrors. Both are what I consider safety necessities.
Great video Ed. There are so many add on’s and options for these utility tractors. Sure does make life easier to complete a lot of projects. Great job and enjoyed the video.
You are correct about the SSQA loader. I wish I had one but, alas, I have the pin-on. My #1 attachment, by far, is my rear snowblower. Being in the mountains of New Hampshire, it gets heavy use.
Really good choices of upgrades! Thank you for thinking of my channel for this challenge. Like you it’s hard for me to narrow it down to a selection of just 5. Take care!
I'm in my late 70"s and I find hooking implements to the 3 point to be difficult. I can't turn my head enough to see how well I'm lined up. I use a 5ft. piece of iron pipe to leverage the front of my cutter to line up with my 3pt. Works great for this old geezer.
I welded rolled (flattened) expanded steel to my grapple to prevent brush from poking through. Doesn't affect the headlights shining through the factory grille guard.
Another great video but I would argue the 3rd function valve comes before a grapple since you can not use the grapple without it. I also would go with the heavy duty plastic roof - if I had a aluminum one it would be all banged up. Cabs also seriously reduce visibility so there are pros and con to a cab.
Thanks Nick! Yeah the grapple and 3rd function kind of count as one item. But you are right. If you can’t afford both yet, at least get the third function, so you are ready for the Grapple in the future.
You called it a diverter but you have a true 3rd function. Quite a few dealers will sell a diverter which puts the valve out by the bucket and just diverts the flow from the curl function to the grapple. To use those you hood a button and move the stick left/right to move the grapple then let off and it returns to running the curl. Yours connects to the power beyond and adds a true third function. Yours is able to curl and simultaneously close the grapple
Now we can talk all day long about a full sealed cab and how cozy it is with heat & air, the radio, lower engine noise, etc. But, I'm going to keep it simple, when you're trying to decide if a full sealed cab is worth the $, consider "when" NOT "if", but when you hit that yellow jacket or hornets nest, spend the money! I've had a couple of dozen hornets hammering away at the windshield several times. I can just imagine me running away from the rolling tractor while it goes off the side of our mountain farm, half the hornets following the tractor and the other half teaching me a lesson about the value of a cab.
How's she goin'? The 'add-ons' you have covered here are certainly on my list too!! I have made many mods and add-ons to my GC2300 and I found that buying the tractor was a great idea but then you need the 'add-ons' to make that purchase really pay for itself !! Take care!!
That’s what’s so great about this challenge; seeing both the items and the thought process for each individual. Wouldn’t life be dull if there wasn’t options?
🚧🚧Good day Ed 👍😇👌🚧🚧OUTSTANDING informative video ( Yes The SSQA, Grapple, 3nd function valve, Front Grill Guard Screen, PTO Extension ) I do Not RECOMMAND a Tractor Cab ( I'm not a member of the tractor cab collective and I WILL NEVER GET ASSIMILATED BY IT 🤣👍 ) Now Sir, with The money that you save you were able to buy many implements instead 👌🧐👍All OUTSTANDING Channels Challenge 👍👌😇 Cheers 🍻🍻
Hmmmm, I was completely unaware of the PTO shaft extender. I'm going to have to see what those cost. I'm guessing that they're not cheap though, and probably come pretty close in price to just buying a new, longer PTO shaft?
Great tips! Thank you. What is the "apparatus" called that goes with SSQA that will have a 2" receiver? I am trying to put together my "must haves" for a tractor.
You could get the pallet fork frame from Artillian that has the built in receiver. Then you can also buy their modular pallet forks, grapple, or stump bucket. 👍
I have the John Deere but I wish I would’ve gotten the skid steer attachment only because it’s easier to find attachments with that instead of the John Deere quick attachment pins but anyway Ed nice video talk to you Monday night
@@MyClutteredGarage yes they do but I never thought I would get so into wanting more and more attachments. The market is full of skid steer type but not many make the John Deere hind sight is always 20/20
Hi Ed. Another enjoyable video! Got a question for ya...It looks like you have a monitor mounted to your hood. Is that for a camera setup? If Yes...can you provide any details on what you have?
@@MyClutteredGarage Area isnt bad,,just alot of vines and kudzu,,also needing something to repair and maintain a private drive with pot holes...some say box blade some say landplane,,,whats best...both are very pricey being that they have no working parts..wish i had access to metal..i could make them
