Me and my brothers came up with a way to go through vs. matches quickly. Step 1: Set game rules to % health and lower it to the minimum % Step 2: Set rules to have the thingy that drains your health (Its next to the bunny hood option) Step 3: Select stage and DIE! Step 4: Repeat step 3 as many times as you want

My favorite is ganondorf. He may be slow, but because he is so strong, timing is key. I have the timing mastered with ganondorf and i rarely loose when im playing as him. He is just so fun to smash with!

I played Subspace Emissary, and absolutely loved playing as Marth and Ike. Mostly Marth. It got me interested in Fire Emblem, so I did a little research, found it was a tactical RPG, something I'd never played before and was very intrigued in. I went out and bought Awakening, thinking, "Oh, this game will be entertaining, but it probably won't be incredibly amazing." Then I played it. Then I played it again. And again. And then I bought all three versions of Fates the day it came out. Now I'm in the middle of playing Shadow Dragon. And Fire Emblem is one of, if not, my favorite game series of all time, up there with Zelda and Prof. Layton. So yeah, Marth is pretty darn good.

Today, it was announced Marth is back!

Solid Snake, Marth, Ike, and Regular Link are my favorite characters to use when playing Smash Bros. Snake first, because of his wide range of attacks. I'm surprised he got that high on the list. Cool!!

Great stuff man! Just watched this from number 40 onwards, and was wondering where my own personal favorite character would be placed. Well, it turned out that my favorite character is yours as well! And that was enough to put a huge smile on my face!

ok So watched the entire thing and it was humors as hell and all your choices you had reasonable reasons WHY they were your whatever number, even if I have completely different views on the characters and different experiences with them. this had awesome visuals and was all around very enjoyably to watch. thank you for making it.

In the first part, i was like "I hope Fox makes it to top 10" then after the last part, i was like "I hope he makes it to top 5" and through this i was like "I hope he makes it to top 3" then he ended up taking the #1 position and i was amazed! He is the only character that i play as in brawl (apart from Toon Link) and he really is my favourite video game character of all time! Fox Mccloud, you are completely awesome! Nice vid btw Will and i really wish Krystal gets into SSB4!

I watched all six videos of this countdown, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! While I don't quite agree with some of your opinions, they were all well-founded and fair for all of the characters! Overall, this was a very impressive list and I'm glad I watched it! :)

5: I...really don't like him. I think he should be much lower. 4: I certainly like him, but I'll take Ness over him any day. Should be lower. 3: I love this guy, although I do think he should be a touch lower. 2: MAAAAAAARTH! MARTHMARTHMAAAARTH!MARTHYMARTH!MAAAAAAAAARTH!!! Oh god...Marth is my favorite. He's my main, and EASILY my favorite character. His excellent range, his impressive power, (thanks to his easy-to-land sweetspots) his great speed (both in terms of movement and attack speed) and his ONE HIT KILL FINAL SMASH. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised he's not at number 1...but hey, second place out of forty is pretty damn satisfactory. Still...should be at the top. 1: I do really like this guy, but I don't think he deserves the number 1 spot. I've always been more of a falco guy, although Fox is by no means a remotely bad character, and he is in my top 10. If I had to make a top 5, this is what it'd be. 5: Falco 4: Donkey Kong 3: Captain Falcon 2: Ness 1: Marth. Still though, I can say that this list was very well made. CONGRATULATIONS!

I never liked Fox much, but after seeing your video, I was inspired to give him another spin, and now I think he's bundles of fun, definitely in my top ten now. Thanks Rabid!

Hah, Fox as number one is great. A lot of people I know don't really find him that good or interesting to play as but I find him to be the most interesting character to use.

Rewatching this enormous countdown makes me want to play some Brawl on my Wii, but then I remember my idiot brother sold most every Wii game we owned a year ago. So then I become depressed. Still a great list, Will.

5. I love to annoy people with him. 4. Decent clone character to say the least. 3. Great fighter, but I have a feeling he won't be returning for the next game. 2. Marth brought over a whole franchise to the US. That, plus his fighting style, has earned some serious respect from me. 1. I still prefer using Wolf, but Fox is still great to play as and he helped the Starfox franchise gain more recognition. Great list rabbidluigi.

DAMN IT! Grrr, so close... SO CLOSE! During the countdown I kept repeating to myself "may the next one not be Marth", and he ends up number 2 XD. While I am disappointed that my favorite and personal best only managed second place, you have no idea how grateful I am that he wasn't beaten by Roy and/or Ike. It's about time someone recognized that he was the best from the Fire Emblem series. And what the hell was with him having the highest tripping rate? Probably cause he's the best character. :D

I like Snake the best because "in my opinion" he is probably the only character that makes you have to be methodical. I mean, so many characters have the same general game plan. Run in and dominate hit them and don't get hit. With Snake, you have to slow down and really think about which explosive your throwing out. You can maybe dodge 2 or 3 of his explosives, but its pretty hard to avoid all of them if you use them right.

I really am happy seeing both Lucas and Marth in the top 5. They are my best characters and I really like them in their respective games.

5. I've liked him a lot more recently, and I agree, he's very annoying, and it's fun being annoying. 4. No... He has cool up and down smash attacks, but that's really it. He's more of a beginner-friendly version of Ness IMO 3. Yes, definitely in my top three as well. One of the most unique and diverse characters in the game. 2. I can kinda see it with Fox and Falco, but to say Wolf is an exact clone with tweaked stats is only reasonable if you haven't actually played him. Wolf does have a lot of similarities, but he lacks a continuous standard combo, his side-B moves at an angle and ends in a meteor smash, his reflector only guards from the side, his "fire dash" ends with a kick, his side tilt is technically a command grab at close range, and his blaster has an attack hitbox on the bayonet.

My favorite is Toon Link. He can deal immense damage and keep foes away with three projectiles, is fast, and has good aerial and ground game. His down air can also "pogo stick" opponents, allowing for even more damage buildup. That combined with a decent recovery and speed make him fun to play.

Mainly because in Awakening she was simply disguised as Marth- the real Marth only appears as a DLC character in that game. Marth is from the original FE, remade for DS as Shadow Dragon. He starts off the game fleeing his homeland after another kingdom takes it over, and the quest centers around his struggle to regain his homeland and then wipe the dark forces from the world. It was actually his and Roy's popularity in Melee that convinced them to bring Fire Emblem to America in the first place.

I was genuinely flattered when rabbidluigi told me I look damn good for Fox being my #1 character. :3

I'm happy enough that you recognize that Lucas is good enough to be top 5 material. I mean I personally think that Fox and Marth are completely overrated as all hell (not as much as Falco though), but I do know why people enjoy the two very much. Well, besides tripping over bananas, sometimes your character will just randomly trip over the stage, bringing your momentum to a screeching halt. I would suggest giving Brawl a go, though, for its amazing gameplay (especially the Final Smashes).

How to Beat Kirby: - Toss him into the air with an Up Throw or Up Smash, his Air attacks are terrible (besides his Back Air). This also makes him a bit easy to edge guard. - He's Lightweight and easy to KO - He is horribly slow and has no decent projectile attack

I have actually taken out 2 characters within the first 10 seconds of a match using Snake. I'm glad he's this high on the list.

nope. that marth is actually Lucina, Chrom's daughter, but you can unlock marth via spotpass and choosing a rival team (you'll get it as an enjarhar). since you have played the game,think about it before shooting stupid things from your you mouth.

Sad part is, I don't think we'll ever see Snake in SSB game ever again ;(

- Dash Speed is a dangerous, unsafe way to approach campers so that means little. Anyone with Projectiles can keep at bay for a while. - Side B only hits 4 times and is honestly one of his few combos, which becomes too predictable. - Not as much as Smashes of other characters, due to low knockback scaling and ending lag. - Not with being unusally tall, he's too easy to KO. Of course he's not perfect, that's all I was trying to say.

That's not his only flaw. - He can't camp since he doesn't have a projectile. He can't break through camping either. - He has a good vertical recovery, but a subpar horizontal recovery. - He can't combo effectively. - His attacks have low knockback scaling and its hard to KO heavy characters with him - He is a semi-lightweight, yet tall character. Easy to hit and KO. He is still awesome (especially compared to Roy), but like everyone, he's not perfect.

Fox has no flaws since he catches himself in air with reflector (which can be spammed to increase air time and shock enemies in contact on activation linking with grabs and he can air combo pretty well.

In regards to putting a projectile move on Marth, in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragons and the Blade of Light, and its remake, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, there is an item called the Levin Sword. It allows a sword user to execute an attack at range using a bolt of lightning, though it relies on the magic attack stat rather than physical attack and as such is very weak in the hands of Marth or a Myrmidon or Swordmaster class character.

You sir have good sense of Smash Characters, i say this because in my house when it is me vs my brother it is always Him as Fox and me as Marth. Also from your own statement, you must be very very good looking.

My mains are Sonic, G&W, and Kirby. For Sonic, I love his speed, but don't have problems landing that final blow (Down A and Up Smash are powerful when used right). That and I can actually control his Final's speed, making him the only one I might not use due to being TOO good. G&W's strength is his jerky animations, they mess with my opponents' predictions so that they're never quite sure what I'm doing. And Kirby? A near perfect mix of the other's strengths, with impressive recovery to boot!

5-Diddy Kong is such a fun character. Not the easiest character to use, but great for using chip damage. 4-Both Lucas and Ness are somewhat a clone. They have the same side B, up b, down b and final smash. I kinda prefer Ness to Lucas, but Lucas himself is a great character to use. 3-I was disappointed that Snake got de-confirmed in Smash Bros Wii U and 3ds games. He's one of the hardest characters to play, but he's still a great character. 2-From Brawl (I played Brawl before Melee), Marth was one of the three characters (two are Mario and Fox) which I considered to be my main character in the Smash series. Up until roughly half a year, he became my main character since then. He's a mixture of a hot and cold kind of character. You need to know how to be offensive and defensive. I agree Marth in Melee is so powerful. Brawl Marth is not bad depict his moves have slightly changed. I prefer his neutral B in Brawl than Melee. It's great for recovery. 1-Fox is my second character which I was deciding to be my main character. I dropped him, because I feel he wasn't my type of character. Personality wise and character, I like him a lot. I somewhat used him in Brawl and he's a pretty good character to use.

I love marth and I really hope they keep him and whats funny is how mean one of his taunts is, remember that taunt were he twirls his sword around and says "nena nitakata" translated that means "need any help" XD

Well, not all of that is true. -His immense speed and mobility can easily get past campers. -He does lack horizantal recovery, but every character has their flaws. Besides, I'm usually falling off the edge or shooting into the sky too much for that to matter. -Hello? Side B is an insane combo with three finishers. -Maybe his attacks don't knock things back too well, but a smash attack can send them flying. -He weighs enough to get by. He's not perfect, but nobody is, really.
