I had a Ghost for 3 days. They are very heavy and the engine is electronically controlled for the first 2 gears that makes them quite slow off the line for reasons of comfort. As you can see in the clip, the Benz leaves the RR easily to begin with, then the RR holds it's own after that initial difference. It's a shame they didn't do a rolling test to compare overtaking abvility from say 50 mph.

AMG was tuning company that Mercedes bought because everyone was kicking sand in their face, they tried Cosworth (British F1 engine builders & tuners) but being German stuck with their own. The Ghost will kick shit out of the S600 however, a fair comparison.
smasila ...it should be slow against the S class which has a V12 engine and two turbos. The Rolls Royce Ghost is a V8 and no turbos, you don't need Einstein to work that one out. Now if the S class try that against the Ghost badass brother... the WRAITH it will get its arse kicked
