When I tell someone trying to get me to buy into MLM and I said “I can’t afford it” I really do mean it. Yes, I will still make target runs and go on vacations, but that’s because I BUDGET for those things but I don’t budget for MLM stuff. So, yes, I can afford target runs but I can’t afford your MLM products...

I actually had a professor do something super similar. she invited a group of girls from our class to her house for drinks and to talk about networking and career paths, and it ended up being an Arbonne presentation. and she never helped any of us get jobs after college lol.

But also the "you go out to eat" "you do target runs" etc yeah because it's my money and i can spend it how i want. no offense to your 60 dollar hair mask but if i want to spend my money getting margaritas instead of on that product that's my business. i'm no t a bad friend for not wanting overpriced shampoo that makes your hair fall out.

The lady working while in labor reminds me of my old boss. She wasn’t in an MLM, normal corporate job, but literally worked from home when she was having contractions bc she was such a crazy workaholic. Eventually she logged off when her contractions were so close together they had to rush to the hospital. I appreciated her work ethic and she was a good boss but she was not great about taking time for herself, which looking back is kinda sad.

I don’t understand why they think it’s a plus to not get actual vacation time or maternity leave

I was at Target today and a woman came up to me, complimented my coat and proceeded to carry on a friendly conversation. After a few minutes she hits my with “the business opportunity”. I look her dead in the eye and say “did you actually like my coat or are you just trying to get me to join your MLM?” ..... these people need to learn that approaching people about MLMs in stores is wrong and wasting their time.

When I was on my HS cheer team, one of our cheer coaches basically forced us into buying her Mary Kay makeup for our performances... it was ridiculous!!!!

Ummm, pretty sure my employer would give me more than a week off with my NEWBORN! I was once an RF consultant and I can attest that all the other consultants would comment on others posts to boost engagement. I started realizing it thinking to myself, hmmm *that girl is in RF, oh and so is that one * I got myself out of that cult and not one of them comments on any of my posts now, ya know, of my family and my true life. It REALLY annoys me how these MLM people fake like they're "social media influencers" or social media guru's. It makes it hard for those of us that actually are running a REAL business online.

I have seen so many mlm huns post things like this trying to guilt people into buying from them. I had to unfollow many women who would get really mad and post things about how they couldn't stand people following them and not buying from them.

Oh my gosh! So, I just got a recording thru my text messages from a friend of mine, from my past. Both he and I are vegan so when he messaged me, I thought it would be related to veganism or activism but it was literally about my joining him in Arbone and do I know any friends interested in joining. Apparently, he made an additional $500 last month with an (only) 60 hr work week. I can't even take him seriously. Also, how would a vegan support a business which produces so much waste? I love your videos about MLMs. I found it profound that I literally received this message from him today and here you are with someone else sending a message. Small world.

The most irritating thing I’ve ever encountered is someone I was in high school with here in the UK, wrote a Facebook status saying she’s looking for a new scent/perfume and what is everyone’s favourite, to comment below. I commented a few suggestions trying to help a gal out and within 10 minutes of her liking my comment, I received an inbox... She said thanks for the suggestions, they sound great, but did I know she works for a company (FM World) that sells fragrances for a lower cost that smell just like a favourite, blah blah blah, and DO I WANT TO BUY SAMPLES OF THE PERFUMES I COMMENTED, SO I CAN COMPARE THEM TO THE ORIGINALS AND GIVE HER A POSITIVE TESTIMONIAL!!!! She then went on to say if I gave her a POSITIVE testimonial about her and the FM World perfumes, she would give me a discount on my next order and I’ll be on her “exclusive list” for FM World updates and new product releases!!! I was so pissed 😂 *Moral of the story? Never help a gal out from high school again* 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I love this MLM series you started! Have you heard the podcast, The Dream on Spotify? They have one that is like 10-11 episodes based around MLM's and it is awesome. They go wayyyyy back to talk about the history of how it got started and they do all this research, interviews, even sign up one of their team to join to see what they go through. I got totally sucked in by it because it was so good and if you haven't heard it yet either you might really like it too. It really is unbelievable the lengths that some of these MLM people will do.
