A Food and Drug Administration advisory panel of experts finished a multi-day hearing over the safety of silicone breast implants, decided against recommending the outright banning of the devices, despite the implants leaking. Instead the panel decided to recommend leaving silicone gel breast implants on the market, restricting the implants access to cancer patients and women who simply want larger breasts.
