I have a GE Profile Built-in-Microwave, model number is PVM9005BL1TS. The problem is. One bulb burned out so I replace them and now when I push the button to go from low to high or off the lights stay on high and get very hot. Any ideas?

My microwave bulb only works when pressing buttons. Bulb Will not work when opening the door or while cooking. Bulb only works while pressing buttons. ?
I had one that was like that for a while, although it was a countertop microwave, not one that mounts to the wall. The parts were arranged in a way that I did not come near the leads on the capacitor. As long as you are not completing a circuit that the capacitor operates on, there is little to worry about, as long as you stay away from it. But if you are uncomfortable, look up videos on how to safely discharge a capacitor, or get a trained handyman to do it, who may charge $75 to show up and $20 to $40 in labor.
