I've always considered Hela a dungeon crawler scenario and I absolutely love it. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Jason at 3:55: “Just how fast can you scheme?” Roman: “Yes” Jokes aside, I really enjoyed TGMW campaign up until I hit the Ronan wall. I played with preconned Groot and Rocket and felt I had a fair chance in the campaign. Hard - yes, but not impossible. Against campaign Ronan I kept wondering whether it would be theoretically possible to stack his deck and those of groot and rocket to be able to win. Still have my doubts that this is possible…

Thank you for the video. I enjoy hearing your thoughts on Champions. Got the game in March, and just logged my 142nd game yesterday (mostly 2 player with my wife). To date we have never done any of the campaigns, but are looking forward to trying them. Have a had Mad Titan's Shadow and Red Skull for a while and enjoy both of them. Just got the other two boxes for my birthday, so looking forward to trying them. Favorite Villains so far in no particular order: Ultron Hela Zola Green goblin

Great list and talking point even if I plan to get everything for this game. I picked it up recently and I haven't had this much fun with a solo game or 2-3 player in such a long time. Beating Klaw with an Aggression Colossus Deck I built myself(I know it's not his strongest aspect), felt so good. I plan on grabbing Most Wanted and RoRS, but I really want Most wanted just cause I want to play Groot. The quote/unquote "worst hero" according to a lot of people. Saw his kit and loved it.

Thanks for the video. I only have RoRS and am looking to get another campaign. I was initially really excited for Sinister Motives just for the spiderverse villains. I think I'll go with mad titans shadow next after hearing your thoughts.

Played Ronan twice. Never won. Never had fun with all the surge, multiple attacks per turn, or the 10+ hits per turn. And I hate the idea of having to play with certain heroes just to stand a chance because I don’t have a ton of fun using Doc Strange. The rest of that box is actually really fun.

I'm not really ever compelled to re-play campaigns but I think I agree with all of your rankings. A perfect campaign box for me would have the simplicity of the Red Skull box but with some of the cool features (like the Market in GMW) thrown in. I don't like how much book-keeping and setup some of the newer boxes have. It's too over-bearing and detracts from the gameplay loop. The reputation track was a prime example of this. As I played through Sinister Motives I actually found myself wanting to move up less, so that I'd have less negative effects and less setup lol

I've been playing the guardians box set for the first time since I got it for Christmas I've been playing it with star lord and I discovered two things one this box set isn't has bad as people say it is but I'm only on nebula so I'm almost to ronin which I am so not looking forward to and two star lord is amazing

We just re-played Rise of the Red Skull campaing, I like how straightforward the setup is. I appreciated less bookkeeping. I think I still prefer stand-alone villains for my re-plays, once I live through the campaign story, there is not much to pull be back in. ....maybe Shawarma would, though.

I only have the "best" and "worse" boxes! Hard choice.... 😅

My personal ranking Sinister Motives Rise of Red Skull Galaxy Most Wanted 😮 (yes it’s true. I personal like the market and once in figured out how it works I have got a ton of plays of it). Mad Titan Shadow (I dislike Loki bc he must have the Gauntlet.)

I wouldn't put so much weight on the campaign elements since I play campaigns about 20% of the time. That said here's a load of comments on the campaign stuff. I share your distaste for levelling up to stay still. At least the bonuses & penalties are qualitatively different - its not Pathfinder or D&D4 where you get +1 to hit, and all the monsters get +1 AC. I liked the idea of the GMW shop but in practice it was uninteresting. The narrative rewards you get in MTS work the best for me. This is allied to the fact that the campaign side quests are these optional ones that can reward you not the pure punishment ones in GMW. The RoRs system was dated when it was introduced back in the LotR campaign boxes. Well not dated but lazy & uninteresting. That plus the lack of consequence to failure which means losing is better than winning "badly" turned me off it. I still played the campaign a dozen times as I like getting stuff & linked scenarios but still I moaned about it. The boxes I Rate SM : 3 scenarios I like Sandman, Venom & S6, RoRS 2 - Redskull & especially Zola (it's a lot easier with >1 player). 1: MTS - Hela & I like it a lot even if its a bit easy. 1: GMW: Drang is great but comes last by association with Collector 1.
