I took an IQ test a few years ago, and I don't want to brag but I was told that my results were almost unheard of. Something like 1% of people...I scored a 14.

The Russian guy who went back to live with his mom and declined the prize deserves a 10 point bonus on his IQ.

For me, Leonardo da Vinci is the most brilliant person who has ever lived. He was out of contest. Another amazing mind was Archimedes. Then Newton, Einstein, Descartes. Those would be candidates for my top five. I would have liked to include Socrates, but he's into another category, not intelligence but wisdom. And there are people in other categories: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Michelangelo. Not intelligence, not wisdom, but something else, magic, high level quality and quantity of creative work.

I had a room mate once who said he read some short story about time travelers having an exclusive club and there was this pub where they hung out. People like da Vinci, Tesla, Einstein and maybe 1-2 more were all sitting at the same table talking. The time cops had to disband them because it was "too dangerous" allowing time travelers over a certain IQ to congregate. But then the one time cops said it was such a shame, because just imagine what they might have invented if they were allowed to hang out like that uninterrupted.

I have long thought that it is quite possible that the smartest person is in an insane asylum somewhere. Someone who says things that are so far fetched that experts think he/she is crazy, but who is actually correct in what they are saying, we just don't know it yet.

i love the introductory. Thus the reason i am subscribed just your taste and character. I done a couple i.q tests. I think its all about the mental or emotional capacity of your knowledge and willingness to try. Thats where I think these i.q tests are a bit flawed. but still some accuracy. somebody who is doing the test while tired would do better if they weren't and more alert. I think your i.q can vary depending upon the circumstances of your days and motivation to be smarter at something. I tried it on a day I was tired and scored 106. but on a day I wasnt and felt my best I scored 114. but say I went to college and after I graduated relaxed a few years with no stress. it can be even higher for any person. Again I think its all about your mental capacity and motivation to do better. I've found that when im not stressed about something that i can learn and remember things easier. There's also the fluency side of it for understanding problems easier. Somebody with a high I.Q (usually 130-140 score) can learn about 3 to 5 different languages. and then there is the emotional side to a better score. somebody thats emotionally smart (more so emotionally manipulative) can have good ways to persuade and/or deciet somebody. you could see how the fluent and emotional extent can go hand and hand. Theres a lot of ways to look at how an i.q is affected. but the 3 main ways I see it is the emotional and fluency (or ability to comprehend complex problems) side with mental capacity all determines an i.q score truly.

So these people can make theories about space and time, make discoveries that no one thought was humanly possible, meanwhile I’m using a calculator to do an English test.

Fantastic video, although the grammar and spelling was just a bit distracting at times. One notable mention you left out was Archimedes. I believe it is speculated his IQ was quite close to Einstein's. His work on buoyancy, fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering, etc, paved the way for many great scientists to explore the complexities of the world. He was also the first man to define Pi to three decimals with polygons, which was the standard until Newton used Pascal's Triangle to create a Theorem. Archimedes - "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."

Richard Feynman could take at minimum the honorable mentions, anyone who understands quantum mechanics is smart in my book

The last guy is truly intelligent. He solved a Math Question that was thought “Impossible”. But not for the Money, or the Attention; but for ManKind. He is truly intelligent.

It's also interesting to note that motivation to "do something" with your intelligence doesn't necessarily correlate with intelligence. I sometimes think there's a point at which intelligence becomes a mental illness, since we rely on collective delusions (agreements at best) to function.

This is a rough, imperfect analogy: What we call IQ is like an engine, raw power. If an engine that runs a bulldozer were to end up in a Honda Civic, it would never reach its full potential. More is needed than just a high IQ to achieve greatness. Drive, imagination, practical spatial awareness (AKA, common sense), focus among other things need to be in the mix, but the most important is the ability to develop abstract thinking. 99.99999% of all people are unoriginal, in that every thought they have is connected to something they learned from someone else. Nothing wrong with that, a lot can be done in that format. Then someone comes along who has an original abstract thought that no one else has come up with, ever! That is true genius.

Einstein acknowledging Tesla above himself tells us how intelligent Tesla was. Einstein is also humble and may have been correct in his analysis of intelligence. His theories around relatively are incredible. When I found out Einstein theorised that time is not constant or the same e.g. someone travelling time is different to someone not travelling. Even someone flying in an aircraft, the time is fractionally out of since to someone that is stationary. The time frames are more significant the closer one gets to the speed of light.

Crazy for Isaac Newton, he needed math to work on his astronomical observations so he created Calculus. There is a debate between he and another but that is irrelevant as he was a part of the creation of some of the most fundamental mathematics we learn today and all the other physics "stuff"...lol Da Vinci, Newton and Einstein just seem to be from out of this world the stuff they did.

Those levels of smartness could seem very hard but for anyone who is in the reality, not only they know by being taught, they can solve everything for themselves. I would like to know how are their lives. Since I was a very young child like 6 years, I had a very advanced level in maths and logics but however I was bad at letters and somethimes and it was my problem in the sense of explaining the answers, thing that I was improving. Althought that I dont consider that the reason is smartness, its because I trained my brain since very young for maths 1. When I was 2 years and a half I started playing brain training in nintendo DS. 2. I was usually who could get bored easily qnd then I usually get lost in my mind how to optim some problems or trying to find the sense of some experiments. But I imagine the majority of all of them would very easily
