I've been using the Edge 18k power pro for 10 weeks and it's been losing its power and seems to have more dead spots now. There's something cheap about how the outer edge is glued to the paddle too. It starts to come off after awhile. I think I may have to trade it in.
That's my concern with these $200+ paddles. The companies idea behind quality/durability is so low. I had a Selkirk for 41 days of use and the wear was noticeable, chipped surface.
But this surface will be interesting to see how long it lasts, I love the way it feels coming off the face and the whip is so nice. I usually favor the non extended handle and prefer the invikta shape.
what are your thoughts of the effects of adding a bit of lead tape to the Edge 18k powerpro? maybe on the sides near the top. add just a bit of weight & power...but keeping its great control. i just tried this and am liking the effect.
