BF from FNF, he's just a rapper with a demon for a girlfriend who's only option is rap battles,want to put him in a fight to the death, that's absurd, Monika is 10x worse, she's just a teenage high school girl what use would she be against even the weakest characters in Death Battle Edit: I agree with number 2 most definitely

Regarding whether Olimar can work or not, it's actually been done well before on another vs show. Smash Bracket had him fight Piranha Plant of all things, and the final result was way cooler than anyone would expect. Plant is similar enough to a Pikmin boss fight to the point where they mesh well thematically.

21:01: Actually, in the recent Trunks vs Silver, they used the Game version of Silver to upscale from Archie Silver! They said that Solaris as a cosmic being was gonna wipe out the Sonic Cosmology and each three hedgehogs needed to travel past linear time in order to defeat Solaris. In other words, they gave Archie Silver LITERAL IMMEASURABLE SPEED which was based off Game Silvers scaling. So considering Burning Blaze should be comparable to Super Sonic, they would give Blaze IMMEASURABLE scaling with possible Mutliversal scaling

Characters I don't want in Death Battle include Miltank, Watchog, Froslass, and Chansey. Chansey and Froslass because they have Minimize and Double Team respectively in addition to Froslass having Snow Cloak, and Minimize and Double Team should be removed from the game because they're such scummy garbage, Watchog because it's terribly weak but is somehow really annoying to battle (especially since it's everywhere in a Unova playthrough), and Miltank isn't just a nuisance, *IT IS A MENACE TO SOCIETY, AND I DESPISE IT WITH A BURNING PASSION.* I would happily enjoy getting revenge on Miltank by eating it and drinking its milk to ensure it dies and to bring justice to those who have suffered its Rollout-Attract-Stomp-Milk Drink wrath.

I may be poking the bear with this one, but the only way I could see having Madeline on death battle is if they do a Scooby vs Courage and have neither her or her opponent die but that would require a character from another series who would deserve it to begin with, and a few other factors idk.

One thing you didn't mention for Olimar: his ship has star level weaponry. So even if you could find someone for Olimar, they better be someone who also has a vehicle that can reach star level. Also, about Sonic characters, I completely agree, but there *is* hope. I mean, Sonic beat Goku in the Cast, which granted was fan vote, but was done using feats they themselves mentioned, including Void, Solaris and The End. Heck, by the end of it, Chad was even convinced that Sonic would beat Goku. So if they do ever do a Sonic MU again, there is a chance that they could finally do the series justice.

A character I don't really think that should be on death battle is Niko from Oneshot. ...This is a child who is just trying to find her way home and also doesn't engage in any combat in their home game. And much like Madeline, her being forced to murder someone or be killed herself is really unsettling considering she's only like 8. Yes there are characters that age who are also wanted like the Powerpuff Girls but they are literal superheroes with a wide array of feats and abilities. Niko has scaling to low multi thanks to the sun but that's all she has. And the only opponent I've seen for them is Frisk and the point of them not wanting to kill you brought up actually makes this worse 💀. Just let the cat eat pancakes with her mom oml The stuff with BF- I'd say maybe wait until the full game comes out, the devs did say that they wanted to do a combat system and fully animated cutscenes so we might have feats for him there

You say your number 1 is the most controversial but I see it as probably the most reasonable one to not be included. Your takes are genuinely incredible and I really think you could add even more you don't want to see. I can't wait to see what else you make!

To the creators of Death Battle: DO NOT USE CREAM THE RABBIT! She might have some moments of fighting, but she will avoid fighting unless absolutely necessary (just look at the episode of Sonic X when she and Cheese fought Emerl)

20:05 Glad to see Emerl get a mention! He’s my all time favorite Sonic character and the most underrated in my opinion. If Emerl were to be in Death Battle, they would have to include all the skills and abilities copied from the roster of Sonic Battle. He also would have to be scaled to other characters (Sonic outrunning a black hole for 30 seconds, Knuckles punching the ground and causing a volcanic explosion, Shadow using Chaos Control to teleport the Black Comet to space, Amy throwing her Piko Piko Hammer at Eggman’s ship twice and Perfect Chaos destroying the Egg Carrier with a single laser breath) not to mention the Final Egg Blaster destroying a cluster of stars. While it is true it wasn’t Emerl’s doing, he was planning to use on the Earth when he went haywire.

It's funny because Olimar vs Milodane from Tinykin is one of my more wanted matchups. They're both tiny and command small armies so it could work out.

Also, funny you mention Viola because recently I beat Bayonetta 3 and was gonna play the first 2 Xenoblade Chronicleses, but after your previous DB vid, I decided to check out Hi-Fi RUSH and had a great time (RIP Tango #f_*(ring loss sound)*_kXBox), and now I'm on Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and it is kicking my ass to hell and beyond. Just looked for Celeste and it's on Game Pass so maybe I'll download it sometime. BTW, I totally thought Chara would be #1 because they got misrepresented as a psycho killer when really the psycho is us the player.

28:38 THANK YOU! I had countless discussions with many fans about why Monika isn't a valid candidate for DB. Also thanks for referencing the Game theory episode that got millions of people confused about Monika's abilities(though Matpat's editors didn't help either). Yes she was able to "possess" someone but what people tend to forget is that was a 1 in a 1,000,000 chance of happening, she was just lucky and another thing fans tend to forget is that MONIKA DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO FIGHT! And no hacking the files the way Monika does isn't considered fighting because with her expertise it be as saying hitting someone with a water pistol is considered gunmanship. Long story short Monika is just a program who saw her other program friends being tortured in another simulation and wants you(the player) to free them. Nothing more, nothing less.

For the FNaF animatronic one, not only are they not seen doing much, none of them were even programmed to fight, not even Dad-of-the-Decade Glamrock Freddy. There are characters like William in his suits and the possessed animatronics. The animatronics were made to entertain, but were given sentience because of the souls of the dead kids/murderer of said kids. The only reason that they're deadly is because they attack night guards with little to no way to defend themselves besides doors and a mask. There's also the Funtimes. While yeah, they were made to capture and kill kids to harvest remnant (maybe), they can't use any of that in a battle because although deadly to a Joe-Shmoe, not at all deadly to someone like the Ghost Face or the Legion from Dead by Daylight, as they could just shove them over. Even the Glamrocks, because although they are seen doing some pretty neat stuff in their game, they can never use those in a Death Battle. The closest we could get would probably be the Blob/Tangle, as they're big enough and can use their tentacles for some means of attack, but even then they're far too big to even move around quick enough to get away from a powerful attack. Springtrap and his iterations (besides Glitchtrap) also has the disadvantage of being a literal rotten corpse in a suit. There's also the Golden Freddys, because like you said, they can only use 2 things in a battle, but even then they would barely do anything because they're just limp suits that can teleport and put you into an eternal purgatory after you die (in Cassidy's case). None of the animatronics are built for combat.

I got an idea, Madeline vs Pacifist Frisk, the episode is just them hanging out and being friends and not fighting i dont care if its called death battle, make this like a joke episode where they simply don't fight

Honestly, if they ever figured out how to make pikmin work in death battle, i'd personally much prefer louie over olimar, he would be a lot more interesting in my opinion.

This is a topic I've thought about on-and-off, so here are a few of mine. The A-Team: You'd think the TV series equivalent of action movies would be perfect for a Death Battle, but most of the team's actions are spent on studying their opponent in preparation for the big showdown, something Death Battle prohibits. Take that away, and your just left with "guys with guns," with little to no chance to show off the individual members' true strengths and personalities. Carmen Sandiego: Specifically the one *not* from the Netflix series (good as that show is). Her skillset is more suited to infiltration, so much so that you almost never actually see how she commits her crimes, crimes that can get downright ridiculous at times (one of her cronies once stole the entire Roman Forum). In fact, when Carmen is confronted, she spends all her energy into escape as opposed to actually dealing with her pursuers. Baymax (Disney's Big Hero 6): Put simply, Baymax does not kill; it's literally programmed into him to follow the Hippocratic Oath. Yes, there was that one scene in the movie where Hiro removed that particular program, but in the follow-up series, he replaced Baymax's combat program with a new chip that was less prone to lethality. Genie (Disney's Alladin): Similar to Baymax: the guy does not kill. In fact, while you could theoretically argue for Baymax's potential to kill, Genie has it hardwired into his very DNA. Consider that when Jafar became a genie, he lamented that he couldn't directly kill Alladin in vengeance and had to take measures that would merely *lead* to his demise. Korosensei (Assassination Classroom): This is probably my most controversial. Put simply, any fight with Korosensei would be an absolute stomp in his favor, owing to his incredibly specific weaknesses: pellets that are specifically designed to harm him, an adverse reaction to water that might not be as readily available, and you have to hit him in a very specific spot if you want to guarantee a kill.

Judging by the thumbnail, I already know two of the five thumbnail characters who are going to at least be mentioned, if not be on this list: the Boyfriend from Friday Night Funkin' and Olimar from Pikmin.

I think the only way you can really go about doing Pacifist Frisk in a Death Battle is if it's a complete draw where a third party dies, or if whoever is fighting them dies to -Flowey- something else entirely.

I'm not really a FNAF fan, but I wouldn't mind it if William Afton fought someone I'm surprised you didn't mention. The man in the suit. Both are very similar, stuck in costumes and have supernatural abilities. They're also murderers that make their victims suffer a fate worse than death (being stuck inside an animatronic vs being fused with your suit). William is famous for his durability while The man in the suit has slowly become as capable of a fighter as Godzilla with his acid vomit and healing factor.

Video suggestion: just like you did with your Death Battle videos, how about your top 10 cartoon crossovers you’d want to see & don’t want to see. Ex, i think id be cool if they did a Gravity Falls & Phineas & Ferb crossover

I think the Patapons from Patapon could combat Olimar and the Pikmin, since in that game, you control an army of Patapon (although using drums to the beat of the music) One problem is the fact that there is a lack of their height listing. A post on Reddit said that they are apparently the size of a baseball, but there isn’t really a source for that. That, and the fact that the world seems like a normal earth looking tribal world.

People say Blaze have Starfire and Rivet in Ratchet and Clank but people say Archie Blaze is a different story

I wouldn't want any characters from the Gamera series in Death Battle, because their most popular and most likely matchups are against Godzilla characters, however it's a foregone conclusion that any Gamera vs Godzilla fight will be a massive stomp in the Godzilla character's favor, unless you're using some of the insanely underpowered variations of Godzilla like Minus One or Shin.

For the BF entry, it would make more sense for pico to be in death battle than him, since he's in a fighting game (newgrounds rumble), and he's freaking loaded. As for your Monika entry: The second you brought her up, i was like "god damnit, people seriously hate me." I've long since stopped hating her, but she still takes me off guard when someone mentions the game, i.e yourself and caddicarus.

You do make a good point with Frisk. I never thought about the potential character assaination. However, i do have 2 ways it could work. 1. It's a tie. Frisk can't die by their opponents hand, but they refuse to kill their opponent. Frisk is still willing to fight. Like with Omega Flowey, but not land a killing blow. 2. Frisk accidentally kills their opponent, so resets and stops the fight before it happens.

Regarding Olimar. While I don't think he, personally, has any good matchups, the Koppaite Exploration Team from Pikmin 3 could go up against Team Snakemouth from Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, as there are a lot of similarities between the two groups, to the point where we'd even have an easy reason for them to fight (That being Brittany taking berries from Vi, as those berries are used as currency in Bug Fables, and are shown being eaten by one characterin the game, despite their bitter taste), and both teams are handicapped equally by The Koppaite Exploration Team having to deal with potentially stronger bugs than they're used to, and Team Snakemouth not being too amazing against armies. Both of the aforementioned handicaps the two groups can and will be able to overcome. As for the character I most don't want appearing in Death Battle, Maxwell, from Scribblenauts. This kid technically has the ability to create anything he wants with his magic notebook, but he comes with one VERY major conundrum. Do they keep his kind, generous, yet sometimes playful attitude, going against the rules of Death Battle, or do they make him add the adjective "Gone" to his opponent and win instantly. A lose-lose situation if you ask me. Maxwell's entire journey in Scribblenauts Unlimited is to learn to help others, and to use his powers responsibly. Death Battle's entire design philosophy, which has good reason to be the way that it is, flies completely in the face of this moral, and this character, even down to his powerset.

I feel the same about Blaze (she's my favorite female character and yeah, Sonic characters are stronger than people say they are) but one thing that really grinds my gears about the Sonic matchups (both Sonic vs Mario fights and both Shadow fights before Ryuko) is that they severely limit the Super Forms, saying it only lasts about a minute with just 50 rings. Ignoring how Sonic was able to stay in Super for days in Advance, none of these fights ever have Super Sonic or Super Shadow get any more rings to extend the form like you commonly can do. Actually, I don't even recall there ever being any rings in any of the battles

As a DDLC fan I have to agree with you on Monika and death battle. She makes no sense to be on the show.

4.-) Actually, there's one good character from yet another Indie game that would be a perfect matchup against Boyfriend: Red from Everhood. Basically, the way Boyfriend fights in-game with all his game mechanics is exactly how any and all bosses from Everhood play out, so Boyfriend wouldn't be out of place as a boss Red has to beat. 2.-) You wanna know what makes matters worse? That there's another character that acts and plays similar enough to Celeste that could be a good replacement: The Ninja from The Messenger. He also climbs a mountain and also is part of a platformer, however, his game is all about humor, so it would make more sense for The Ninja to be in DB. Also, your same arguments for why Celeste shouldn't be in DB are my reasonings for why I don't want Sunny (from Omori) in DB: he also suffers from heavy depression and is also based on a very very bittersweet story, so Sunny shouldn't be part of DB either.

I would rather not have ladybug from the miraculous adventures of ladybug and cat noir because not only is she a horrible character and I hate her but I'm mostly because most of her fights include cat noir and she uses him as a shield to make her plan work, plus the way that she fights by herself is defensive she usually runs away and incredibly boring to me when she fights, inconsistent scaling with her powers and her "strongest move", the lucky charm. Now for those who don't know the lucky charm basically allows her to create a deus ex machina; a random item that allows her to create a solution to any problem as you can guess this creates a problem in a versus Battle scenario

While I'd have to say that Smaug is definitely more powerful than you gave him credit for, id still agree that he's still quite weak among dragons. That's kind of fitting. In lore, Smaug is considered BY FAR the weakest dragon to ever live in middle-earth. There are one or two dragons I think he would beat in a death battle, like Drogon, but yeah, in terms of ALL dragons in media, Smaug's a weakling. Not the weakest, but no where near the strongest Now if you want a dragon from middle-earth that IS ridiculously powerful, go with Ancalagon The Black. He was so large that he completely blotted out the sun across continents and destroyed entire mountain ranges by landing atop them.

Honestly, Madeline Vs Peppino is a pretty bad episode, Madeline didn’t show much ways of fighting (yes I’ve played the game) meanwhile Peppino turned off the f💍cking game, dispersed the sky, pummeled Pizzahead into oblivion, changed the sky back to it’s original color, destroyed pocket dimensions, and even moved the earth to cause a lunar eclipse (Fun fact: most people (myself included) headcanon them as uncle and niece so… having them fight to me is just weird, , the only way I’d wanna see Madeline is if Death Battle themselves look at the headcanon, approve of it, and put it in an episode where Peppino wins a fight or smth )

I can see why you and others would be opposed to seeing Smaug on Death Battle and that's fair, but personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him on the show so long as he's put against the right opponent. Like I personally like the idea him going against Fatalis from Monster Hunter thanks to their thematic connections and the idea of a good old fashion fire breathing Dragon fight even if the fight dynamic is a touch basic. Granted, I do see that deciding how the fight would play out and end could be tricky if the different subspecies are used in Fatalis's stead, but at least it's a better matchup than putting Smaug against Fin Fang Foom or Deathwing (seriously, how the hell did I think those were good matchups as a kid?) While there are a couple characters I could think of as ones I flat out don't want to see on Death battle, there's also a few characters that leave me conflicted, where I would LOVE to see on Death Battle because I like them as characters... but also I kinda don't want to see on the show if only because I think literally all their matchups SUCK (or more accurately I just don't like). The biggest offenders in that camp for me being Ridley, Mothra and Godzilla; characters I really love and would love to see on Death Battle, but not with the vast majority of their matchups, including their most popular ones (except for OG Godzilla vs Gamera, I love that episode despite not needing a rematch) Saying that, if there is one character that I could say I absolutely DON'T WANT to see covered on Death Battle, hot take, is SCP 682. Out of all the characters you could argue shouldn't belong on Death Battle because their uber-powerful abilities wouldn't clash well in versus settings (Superman and Saitama use to be one of the big ones back in the day), I personally think 682 is the biggest offender of that. Where his powers and plot manipulation hacks are such bullshit that trying to discuss them in a versus context isn't fun or interesting, and that nearly all their matchups are either ill-fitting, or are just boring with how one-sided or stalematey they are. I'm fine with cartoon characters being somewhat similarly bullshit with their zany powers and fourth-wall breaking antics, but at least they sometimes have in-universe weaknesses that could theoretically be countered, or at the very least are just always fun to watch and hear about. With 682's slightly more serious tone and completely unbeatable nature, I just think it stops being fun or interesting when trying to put him in versus. That's just me though, maybe there is more cleverness and nuance to some 682 matchups that I just don't see, and I know full well a ton of people still wanna see him on Death Battle, and that's ok.

Hate to play Devil's advocate, but I can see someone suggesting for Frisk that they pull a Dimitri. In Guts vs Dimitri, they gave Dimitri's best feat by using alternate timelins shenanigans, where they said in Edelgard route, she defeated Rhea, and since Dimitri can defeat Edelgard in his route, he can likely do the same. Pretty sure die hard Frisk Fans would suggest they do the same thing, where they say since Pacifist Frisk can do all that stuff, it is likely that Genocide is stronger since Pacifist is technically Frisk at their "Weakest" and can pull the same stuff. People can also suggest they still be able to do the moves like Hope and Dream since she got them through Determination, something Genocide Frisk also has. However, this all is to play devil's advocate. I am pretty sure Genocide can't scale to Pacifist and gain the abilities they do as well. There also could be other things that can argued, but IDK enough about Undertale to have a full say. While I don't mind if Frisk were to join, I agree they should stay away from Death Battle. Heck, my favorite fight for Ness is actually Ness vs Silver.

One of my favorite Blaze Matchups is Blaze Vs Rivet from Rift Apart. Alternate universe versions of the protagonist that differs in life styles to the characters and each other. One is a freedom fighter having to survive on the streets and the other lives a life of royalty. Both end up meeting up with the protagonists and end up having to fight an alternate universe version of the main antagonist. They both have trouble getting close to others and accepting friendship but the main hero and the characters from that verse help break down their barriers.

My personal least wanted character for death battle is Paper Mario because his only matches are either a stomp in his favour or his opponents favour.

Mega disagree with the Frisk take considering soulless pacifist exists and how geno frisk and pacifrisk are literally the same person and so their maximum potential is the same (geno frisk should actually be above pacifrisk due to them getting stronger the whole route) pacifrisk actually fought someone that made them lock tf in whilst the closest geno frisk got was fighting sans (debatably the hardest fight in the game but only because he’s cheating the whole fight not because he’s actually strong, he’s literally stated to be the weakest enemy)

I personally do not want any TADC characters on the show, at least not now. The only one with any really applicable stuff is Caine, but we barely know anything about him.

Welp, here's my list: 1) Monika (DDLC): Honestly, I love the girl and all...And while I believe she's dangerous...she's kinda a pushover if we compare her to other characters that basically do stuff better than her like Najimi Ajimu or Yukari from Touhou. Though I personally believe Monika is perhaps more powerful then Sonic.EXE (The original 2011 game, at least before the creator decided to give him many forms like Frieza). But even then, those are just hax. Everything else, yeah, that's the problem, we don't know much about it. Though DDLC has mods and fangames, Monika is interpreted differently, in some she is a hopeless bitch, in others, she seeks redemption. Hell, on other mods, Monika has no powers, or in others, she has powers, but they had nothing to deal with the crazy shit we see in DDLC. So yeah, composite Monika is pretty much out of the occuasion... 2) Frisk (Undertale): Honestly, the only version of Frisk that I wouldn't have such a problem seeing would be the genocidal one. But the problem is that his personality is generic...And for whoever commented, "Why don't they make a composite version?" Well, the question is how genocidal Frisk is interpreted (And that's not even mentioning the AUs). So they might as well had an OC dressed as a genocide Frisk instead. Plus, who're they gonna fight? The batter from OFF? 3) Madeline (Celeste): I love the girl and all... But yeah, she's not much of a fighter, and even if we give her a bow and arrow from that crossover game of the people who made Celeste to begin with, that's really all she has to fight". "And yet, I can't see her fighting either. The only way to add her in Death Battle is to make her a cameo, or how about this, in a battle to the death between two characters whose thing is to climb, have them participate in a competition climbing and that Madeline is one of the participants. 4) Carmen Sandiego: Her Netflix series is one of my favorites, but, honestly, I don't think it would look good to have her kill someone. Unless you make a Composite version of all their incarnations, which wouldn't be strange, considering they've done that a ton of times. 5) Baby Mario and Baby Luigi: I know they can scale to their older selves, but just imaginating a Death battle when they had to fight to kill or they get killed...is just not conforable to watch... 6) Ayano Aishi aka Yandere chan (Yandere Simulator): For starters, it's not that I don't want to see Yandere Simulator in Death Battle because of the Yandere Dev controversies (Ok, yes that's a reason, but it's not the biggest factor why I don't want Ayano in Death Battle). The biggest factor is simple for those who know about Yandere Simulator...The game is not complete at all. And yes, Yandere Dev has a lot of videos about the lore of his characters and videos that they could use as feats, but many of these videos are just made for humor. However, Ayano does not have so many feats that could make her a worthy combatant to dedicate an analysis to in a series like Death Battle. And yes, there are many fangames, like some fanmade animated series made by fans that could be used, however, some have already been canceled, as was the case with "Lovesick" series, some don't even cover the whole plot of the game (Though some are way ahead then the game development itself) And some series, Ayano, is a completely different character than the Ayano that is usually protrated in Yandere Dev's content. It's pretty much the same argument by composing the animatronics from their canon, and their fanon stuff. The only way you could make Ayano as a fighter is either scale her to her mother...Or outright make Ryoba as a figher in Death Battle instead, since her story is basically completed

Olimar: Yeah. Agreed. This...doesn't work. Viola: That's more a "not now" summary than a total "should never happen", but essentially agreed. Give her a game or two more to see if she falls off. Rebecca Chambers: Yeah, this is complete...who? 8 is pretty low for this. Smaug: A dragon v dragon fight would be cool. Smaug vs. Rathalos would work (and Smaug probably even wins that fight), but that's about it as far as a dragon fight with Smaug making sense goes. FNAF Animatronics: I could have seen them doing Golden Freddy vs. Bendy 4-5 years ago, but now I think FNAF's moment is passed. Blaze: I think Blaze vs. Starfire probably is the match, if it happens at all. I don't think Blaze is the next Sonic fight, though. Next Sonic fight is, probably, Rouge vs. Sly. Boyfriend: Boyfriend vs. Parappa would at least be fun, even if Boyfriend DEFINITELY loses. Monika: Would get stomped by the Junko AI (which would be a fun match), from Danganronpa 2, let alone FLOWEY. Madeline: Hat Kid would stomp, and the logic is shaky. Peppino would also stomp, and...c'mon: Peppino vs. Wario. Frisk: Yeah. Just...no. I don't necessarily have characters I definitely don't want, but I have one match-up that I think SUCKS. Kylo Ren vs. Edelgard (I would not be opposed to either of these on the show, just...not against each other. For Kylo? Masayoshi Shido. For Edelgard? Mandy, from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.)

The danger of talking about a character, someone doesn't want to come to Death Battle, is the possibility of a troll, reading this, and randomly deciding to make it their life mission to come up with a matchup for that character, and push it enough into popularity, that it becomes an episode. So, no. I'll never talk about that one character, in all of fiction, for whom I have nothing but hatred and disgust left.

Rebecca wouldn’t be good in a death battle because she a healer type, or something that find cures for virus. She is different from the character because her way of fighting is making viruses useless, for example, I think she created a vaccine for the t-virus.

Couldn't they just composite all three routes for Frisk? They've done that before with mixing Z and Super for Broly as if they were the same character. Although doing this would go into the discussion of when is it okay for Death Battle to composite, which I know some people have issues with, so I can understand if you're not comfortable with that option either. Either way, the one character I do not want in Death Battle is without a doubt the Iron Giant, for a lot of the same reasons you gave for Madeline. The whole point of the Iron Giant movie is that he was created to be a destructive weapon, but he does not want to be that and fights against his own programming. This means that the Iron Giant just using any of his actual weapons, like his lasers or explosions, would be going against his character, since he specifically fights against said weapons in the movie, and any moment he uses them is portrayed as something horrific. The only way to have the Iron Giant fight without breaking his character would be him just fight without his weapons, by just using his body and staying mostly defensive (this is kind of what they do in the MultiVersus video game, where you have the option to play like that and the weapons are all optional), but this wouldn't work on Death Battle, because the whole point of the show is putting the characters at their strongest, and the Iron giant's strongest attacks come from said weapons that he refuses to use, so they wouldn't be able to ignore the Iron Giant's strongest attacks just for the sake of keeping him in character. The choices here are either ignore most of the Giant's arsenal and his strongest attacks, or have him be explicitly out of character just for the sake of giving him his strongest attacks available. I'm not fund of either option, which is why despite at least one of his matches having good connections (Iron Giant vs Stitch is legitimately not bad connections wise), I'd still rather the Iron Giant not be used.

Honestly the only matchup for frisk and Madeline that kinda works for me is inverted fate frisk and chara vs Madeline and badaline but even then that’s using a fan made version of the characters and still misses the point of Madeline’s growth. As the biggest undertale fan you will probably know I 100% agree with you that frisk should not be on death battle. Not only that ruins their character a lot but there's not a lot of characters that would fit the bill to fight frisk. The only person I would actually be okay with is postal dude but that's only because I think it's funny as a match up but it's also has a better chance of showing Frisk innocent side they have Mercy the most evilest people in the world And postal dude is a guy that is kind of a jackass sadly that doesn't mean he lose that battle but can easily be Mercy. I don't understand the hype for this character being on death battle when there's so many better undertale characters that deserves to be on it like my boy papyrus. Just let the innocent very kind child not be on death battle we already experienced Aang we don't need to go through that again.

Honestly I kind of agree with the takes, however I should clarify something regarding the Blaze thing (And DB's thoughts: 20:45 So regarding DB having Shadow (and basically the rest of the cast that directly scale to the Emeralds). It's mentioned in the side-bars and their official research blogs (also a DBC Episode, I think it was Chaos Vs Kryogre iirc) that they do buy the Uni - Multi stuff for Sonic. The thing is that like in a lot of Death Battle, in order to keep it somewhat entertaining (i.e to make the audience guess who would win by keeping the stats vague or sometimes "low-balling" a character in the episode) they have to use a more conservative end feat for the casual audience who might not understand, and to basically serve as a simple "Even if we don't buy the Uni - Multi feats, the cast would still win with this more conservistive end". (They did the same thing with Dragonborn and The Doctor, so it's not the only one). Theres also the fact they are constantly improving their research overtime and more willing to buy various stuff that didn't before, so you can't be too hard on them - as they've constantly buffed verses MANY times. So if anything it's a possibility that they could redeem Sonic scaling. Personally speaking I'm fine with it since I like reading the side-bars and suppilmentry stuff in their blogs since I'm aware that they can't go over everything, but at the same time it is kind of annoying but nyeh. Regardless if you were curious on a Blaze MU that personally enjoy, is pretty fair, and really interesting. I recommend Rivet (Ratchet and Clank). Otherwise Pogfrog Video!

(Both are anime rivals, rely heavily on their usage of dragon-sequel creatures, and heavily strive to become the best in their respective universes to overcome their past shortcomings, mainly against the main character).

I would argue that you made stronger arguments for Madeline being number one than Frisk. I would also argue that Genocide Frisk is at least more powerful than Neutral. However, then Frisk faces a problem similar to the animatronics where the two most powerful versions of a character that are completely incompatible and can't be composited in any reasonable way(There is no way Frisk could simultaneously be filled with enough desire to help people to nullify the power of a reality-warping deity AND enough hatred to turn into One Punch Man)

I think the main reason Shadow vs Ryuko didn't go all in on Star to Universe Level Sonic scaling is just because Shadow didn't need it to win. They wanted to still make it seem debatable in the analysis so they left out some of the higher scaling to make it less obvious. It wouldn't be the first time they did this and it wasn't the last. (Also if you need a good Blaze MU, Rivet from Ratchet and Clank is right there)

I have 3. The Iron Giant is one of ,if not my favorite movies of all time. But like, the whole point of the movie is "what if a gun had a soul and didn't want to be a gun". Ngl the rant during the #2 spot sounded pretty real. I haven't played that game yet but it's on the radar. Ness and Lucas are also characters I wouldn't want to see because they both have a lack of attacking moves. You know how in Smash they both use PK Fire, Freeze (smash 4 only for Ness), Thunder, StarStorm and PSI Magnet? Yeah, they don't get those in their source material. All they have is their Melee weapon, PK Rockin/Love and PK Flash. Mother 2 and 3 are some of my absolute favorite video games of all time but their main protagonists really wouldn't make for interesting candidates on DB. I'd honestly rather see Paula, Poo, or Kumatora than Ness or Lucas.

I’ve only got a couple of options for characters I don’t want in Death Battle, and one of them is a Joke version of a character, and the other is a group of characters altogether 1: Ultra-Instinct Shaggy To put it simply, this was a joke that everyone took way too far, Shaggy was brave for a few scenes in Scooby-Doo and all of a sudden everyone went nuts, fan made fight animations were made with him being above god level of power, with everyone overestimating him like nobody’s business to the point of people demanding he be the next Guest character in Mortal Kombat 11 when it first came out 2: literally any Dreamworks movie villain Name any Dreamworks villain and it’s likely they don’t have enough media outside of one movie to pull feats from, Titan, Chantele Dubois, Dave the Octopus, Dwayne the Exterminator, Prince Charming, Lord Farquaad, Fairy Godmother, Rumplestiltskin, The Red Death, Drago Bludvist, Grimmel the Grisly, General Kai, Lord Shen, Tai Lung, Big Jack Horner, Death, some of those have a decent number of fight scenes, and some clips of them doing evil stuff, especially so for the Kung Fu Panda Villains and Death, (enough that you could _maaaybe_ get away with it) but compared to some of the characters that they get paired up with for matchups, they’re awesome in theory, but kind of a mess when you actually start to look into it as a VS debate, they only have a few feats to talk about due to being in only one movie and then that’s it after that, not to mention some of the characters they get put up against are ridiculous, like Death’s most popular opponent is Rattlesnake Jake from Rango, who not only has the same problem as Dreamworks villains, but it’s a snake Vs a wolf, and a supernatural wolf at that, first problem is the size difference, Death is going to ultimately tower over any character in Rango, but also Death is a supernatural being who can walk through energy barriers that would normaly obliterate anyone it touches, Jake on the other hand is a normal rattlesnake with a Gatling gun. Honestly you’d ultimately only get their maximum potential through scaling a whole bunch of times. Really, Death and Tai Lung are treated more as memes in Vs debating, and not an awful lot of them stand out enough to be extremely memorable, or have any noticeable matchups, which kinda sucks because I love Dreamworks movies, hell, How to Train Your Dragon is not only my favourite Dreamworks franchise, it’s also my favourite movie/franchise… like, in general. And yet how many of the villains would you consider making a hype Death Battle matchup for? Probably none of them.

One character I'm Really Conflicted on for being on Death battle is Toriko. On one hand, he's got plenty of Fun matchups to work with, and obviously has plenty of Combat Feats that a Typical Shonen Protagonist would have...However, he wouldn't work in a Situation where he has to fight someone to the Death because of his Strict Moral code as a Gourmet Hunter, that being Never killing something he doesn't Eat. So it would be Way out of character for him to Kill someone in a fight. Now there are Other characters from Toriko that could work on Death Battle, like Zebra or Starjun, but Toriko himself wouldn't work because of his Morals.

I completely agree with sonic characters being underpowered when talked about. And I too worry of death battle bringing another sonic character and giving them a poor run down and making them seem weak.

OMORI spoilers you have been warned. Honestly Sunny is basically on the characters I least want to see in Death Battle. Since because I do not want to watch Sunny (a depressed child who basically hallucinate throughout the game from guilt, who commits suicide in a couple endings of the game) get killed or kill someone else in a match up. Since it leaves me with a dark taste in my mouth to have this depressed kid kill someone and potentially gain more guilt or get killed by that opponent. That is my opinion and belief. I just want this boy to have a happy ending. Thank you for reading.

I can’t think of a lot of people I wouldn’t want to see on Death Battle (aside from Real People or Jesus and Gautama [Buddah]). I don’t know if this really counts, but I wouldn’t want to see Luigi back on Death Battle if it’s just to fight Tails again. They both have better opponents and at that point it would just be Mario vs Sonic 2 again but without the debate. IMO, if they really want to have another Mario vs Sonic matchup then just do Bowser vs Eggman and give Luigi and Tails different opponents.

I mean, considering Shadow and Silver (who was up against a Multiversal level opponent) beat their opponents, I’m not sure if it’s accurate to say Death Battle lowballs Sonic characters anymore. They definitely used to though. Edit: Yeah, I forgot how downplayed Shadow was in that episode. But hey! At least he won 🥇

About viola, I think I found out the reason why in gameplay she's a lesser bayonetta: it's because the appeal of the new character...is that they're a new character. (The same thing happened with Nero in DMC4 and v in DMC5. They didn't really change much in those games since they were the new characters, and so that was their only appeal.)

Right from the start, you pull out a character I have complicated opinions on for Death Battle. Honestly, I want Olimar in Death Battle and to have him scaled to his smash height, not because of making a match compatible… But just to get an idea of how tough he and the Pikmin actually are without their height getting in the way. Mass and relative size are everything in physics. Remember in Pikmin 4 where 100 purples lifted a bar of gold or how Olimar survives getting crushed from above by boulders on the regular? From the perspective of our size, it’s a joke. But from his size? It may not be super faithful to his series, but I think Olimar deserves some proper justice in VS debate circles. If that means ignoring a canon handicap and doing 9 Starbucks trips worth of math to figure out the proper scaling needed to make an OG Goku vs Superman “Gravity Formula”? Then I say it’s worth it to let the guy shine. As for characters I personally don’t want to see? Definitely Rosalina from Super Mario. Rosalina has kind of the opposite problem you have with Blaze. She is often hyped up by fanboys as this universe level cosmic goddess (mainly due to Galaxy’s ending). However… A.) That was The LUMAS. Not her. B.) She has never displayed anything else close to this level of supposed power. and C.) Galaxy’s ending as a whole felt like an abstract clusterfuck to me. Regardless of how Death Battle’s analytics team decide to interpret it, SOMEONE is going to get pissed off.
