Top Ten "Forgotten" Characters that Should be in Soulcalibur VI 

Zwei is actually a werewolf, which apparently aren't 'wolf-men' like in our mythology. Meaning he could be immortal for all we know. Which is why I'd like to see him return.

Edge Master could be a Honorable mention, and if they get the voice actor of Shadow the Hedgehog for his role we can call him Edgiest Master

Good call on Shura and Ashelotte! Definitely would like to see the twin katanas and axe lance get their own movesets in SCVI as well as the characters unique designs make a comeback.

Actually Li Long did get a different moveset in SC3. He uses double nunchuks. And I agree with this whole list, especially Ashlotte and Chester.

Honestly, Ashlotte was the only bonus character I could actually see being a legit Soul Calibur character that can be brought back multiple times. The fans also joked around that she had telekinesis because she wasn't as big as Astaroth, so when she grabbed someone, her model wasn't actually touching them leading to some good jokes around the time, so if the Devs really wanted to give her a unique moveset they could very well play off that joke.

I miss Ashlotte as well and would love to see her in SC6. I also want Yun-Seong, Viola, Valeria, Algol, Mina, and Cassandra

Even though she played such a small role, Ashlotte is honestly my favourite character in the series, I love stories about sad robots out living their masters, and the wire-frame Bopeep look is really cool.

You have pretty nice list! Pyrrha Omega was too Emo for my taste. I would've replaced Ashlotte with Rock because to me Rock is unappreciated as well because of Astaroth but it is what is.

I kind of agree with the whole list. Although I hope we can get Viola and Pyrrha omega and maybe even Zwei at least as a dlc. I do enjoy Viola and I bet everyone used her soul to Create a Character. (PLUS I hope we'll see Tira and Voldo again. And someone who uses his/her fists or fist blades like DJ)

Some of these characters showcase here may have the same movesets as some characters but they had a unique personality to them. But the aspect I really loved more about sc3 not only did it introduce the character customization it also introduced different movesets from the main cast. The other games pass this one took those movesets out I guess in effort of saving time and money. They need to bring that back.

Only thing that bothered me about the list is Li-Longs entry. The arcade port gave him an entirely separate and unique moveset utilizing his dual nunchaku with rapid strikes (in comparison to Maxis more flowing style). He had stomps, rad extendable grabs, and some fierce strings. I miss him :( His anime eyebrows are a win though.

I would've liked to see Yun Seong come back. I was also a fan of the bonus character idea 3 had instead of guest characters. They don't have to put every character in the story mode. In short, barring guests, I wanna see them all come back someday. Just go crazy with a giant roster. However, I'd really like Greed, Yun Seong/Hwang, Abelia. Honestly, I don't need all the bonus characters, I just want their styles back. I miss Greed's kunai style.

Would Necrid from Soul Calibur II count as a "Forgotten" Character, seeing how he was only seen in Soul Calibur II, and was never seen, nor mentioned again? Plus, according to what I've heard, Necrid was originally suppose to the model for Spawn. But due to them unable to receiving the rights for using Spawn before it was too late, (or was it that they were unable to figure out who he would play,) the creators of Soul Calibur II decided to change Spawn into the newcomer Necrid.

I just want Necrid back, I know he technically belongs to Todd McFarlane, but come on, it's not like he's using him or anything. I don't care how they do it, they NEED to bring back somehow.

The SC3 custom character weapon styles really need to come back! We need weapons like the dual nunchaku, kick edge, magic staff, dagger & bombs, falchion, and kusarigama especially. A three-section staff or a tekko-kage user would be really awesome too as something new and different!

Start a petition to get Gisele as DLC. I'd vote for that. The jacket and hat outfit looks great.

Bring back Kamikirimusi

I always liked the design and story of kamikirimusi for some reason and would love to see her again

I recently played 4. Grew up playing 3 but skipped to 5. The first time I played story mode I used my custom character, and I eventually fought the elf girl. I was shocked because I couldn't remember her and it seemed odd for her to be a random goon with an epic stage of their own. Then I found out I had unlocked her as a character, well guess which character I used next. During the same stage on my second playthrough I encountered Angolo Fear, and I lost my shit at her out of place esthetic. I later went online and found all the bonus characters and soon unlocked them. And I have to say they each were far more interesting then most of what we got in 5. I would like for them to come back, and most of them would make sense to be around during soul calibur 1 era.

I have to ask: Knowing what time period the 6th installment is suppose to take place and barring time travel insanity, why would a good half of the characters on this list even be around if not already dead/unborn?

Personally, I miss Revenant, Charade, and Necrid.

I think personally, I'd like to see someone from Ni-Oh or Samurai Warriors. After all, Sophitia appeared in Warriors Orochi 3, with I think all of her moves being directly-copied animations from SC4. It makes more sense than one may think, anyway, as the SC series does take place within the time of the Sengoku Period.

He is not a forgotten character but I would like to see Raphael even if I'm not sure in the timeline if he is already gone after Soul Edge. But it may be possible. He's the only popular character missing from my favorites now. Honestly, even if I like Amy, Bangoo (who never got the place he should have) or Talim, they are all too young to be in that game, unless there is some kind of explanation, time travel or whatever. Even Tira is young but since she started to kill at a very young age and she is still older than the three others, she could be some kind of crazy ten years old little girl, which would make her very creepy. Zwei's age is unknown and he could be malfested (so not aging) or special like Unknown of Tekken so he could be there. I like Dampierre's group and I would like to see them playable in one game. Setsuka never had much story to begin with since Mitsurugi didn't have much story either but I like her so... Xianglian would be very cool indeed since Kilik seems to still be stuck with the Evil seed problem in that game. Ashlotte or some other from the cult seems like a good idea. Maybe some scharzwind members (like Salia) who could try to help Siegfried.

Eh... I'm not really sure about some of your choices but I'll explain. 10. It would be interesting but she's dead and she's the main reason why Kilik devoted himself to rid himself of the curse he had. And let's be real here, if she did stay alive, her and Kilik would've become more than bonded friends and thus, there would be no need for Xianghua. 9. I actually agree, it would be cool to see him. He was still alive as far as I know during the events of Soul Blade & Soul Calibur I and it would be interesting to see Taki go head to head with him. IF all else, if he still was appearing vaguley human, he could represent the Katana/Shuriken style from Soul Calibur 3's custom character movesets. 8. Agree again. From what little we've seen of him in SCIV's intro and Talim's ending, he seemed like he would be an interesting character. Unfortunately they don't explain just when the events between him and his father happened but they could easily rewrite this and have Arcturus be a young warrior similar aged to Siegfried in this game. 7. I wasn't really a big fan of a lot of the Chronicles of the Sword characters as all of them just felt bland and uninspired tropes to fill an anime trope. But I suppose if I were to choose which one of them I wouldn't mind seeing turned into a full-fledged character, he would be the best choice as he has a unique weapon base and a more engaging personality they could work off of. 6. Oooooh dear... I love Zwei, he's one of the only newcomers in Soul Calibur 5 I actually liked but his fighting style was done so sloppy and I really didn't like the E.I.N. concept but that's only because I prefer weapon styles that grounded more in tradition instead of anime fantasy. But eh...Perhaps Zwei would be interesting to see. Perhaps it can be him before he met Ein or something. But yeah, he's really a mixed bag for me because while I do adore him (he's my "husbando" lol), including him in SCVI that's supposed to be going back to the origins, it doesn't feel it'd be right. :/ 5. Oh fudge... I REALLY didn't like most of "those" characters and they represented things I don't want to see in Soul Calibur. The only one who I thought was vaguely interesting was Ashlotte and that's only because her design was Steampunk influenced, she still didn't fit the atmosphere for my taste though. I suppose with Shura, if they gave her a less tacky, desperate looking design, I could get behind that idea lol 4. When it came to the veterans, I was more into Hwang than Li Long and while I think Maxi is a better character for the nunchaku style and had a more engaging sense of design/personality, I wouldn't mind seeing Li Long get another chance but yeah, definitely change his weapon to the weapon he had in his early concept art. 3. OH HELL NAW to that lol Okay but seriously, I'd rather pass on that. I honestly couldn't stand Pyrrha Omega and her annoying screaming. Sure she was fun to play but that voice, no thank you sir lol Plus, Pyrrha wasn't even born yet during the events of SCI. No instead, I'd rather just translate some of Pyrrha Omega's moves to Cassandra (since she was the more aggressive sword/shield fighter compared to Sophitia). That all said, I mean no offense. Everyone has a favorite character and if you like her, that's all good. Just sharing my own 2 cents because I'd prefer that they didn't completely muck up the original story. 2. She'd be great. She already has a pretty neat design though I can't help but feel her design (at least her hair) played a part in Hilde's updated appearance in SCV lol. Honestly Ezio is not coming back and I feel that what they can do for her is take a few of his moves (including the hidden blade) and adapt them for her moveset in the same way they took a few of Krato's moves from when he guest appeared in Broken Destiny and gave them to Aeon Lizardman's new moveset in SCV (namely the up flight). 1. Eh... No comment lol Like I said, I did like her design because of the steampunk, slightly Gothic aesthetic though that's because I'm bias but other than that, she really didn't leave that much of an impact on me enough to want to see her again. I'll just leave it at this, your idea on how to fit her in seems like it could work since Astaroth is a monster who needs to be dealt with. But uh yeah lol Anyway, this isn't something I really think about all that much but if you were to ask me who I'd like to see, the answer is simple. BANGOO. FREAKING BANGOO! Come on Project Soul ,he's just asking to be a warrior at this point, especially when you see him in Rock's ending for SCI. Not sure how they could fit him but by golly I just want to see him finally make it in lol Anyway, interesting video.

Seong Han-myeong is the most lesser known character in the Soul series. I say that because I've never heard of him until I saw Soul Edge/Soul Blade. He's was a pretty cool secret fighter in Soul Edge. So why not bring him back?

I actually would love to have Olcadan back. Out of all the copycat characters the Soul series had, he was the one with the most personality.

Very good and in-depth list! I would like to see Revenant again. The wave sword moveset in SC3 was pretty cool. In 6 he'd probably be a male version of Tira with origins about his human form and transform undead during a soul charge or critical edge.

Namco is wasting the opportunity to add a hunter from Bloodborne or a knight from Dark Souls.

I don't know why I got a note to check out almost 2 years after it came out, but it's interesting that Cassandra came back from your list, and it's looking likely that Hwang and Setsuka are also probably coming back.

Big Barda would be a good DC character to have as a Soulcalibur guest star.

I'd quite like to see Kamikirimusi come back--I thought she fit into the series really well. A few of those SCIV guest characters were very cool and might have seen more use if not for their borrowed movesets. I can think of some pretty wicked things you could do with that oni club of hers, parhaps a bit faster and more technical than Nightmare's giant sword.

I think Dampierre and his whole team should be in SC6. Everyone in the roster is such an edgelord and we need some more quirky personalities like them to liven things up.

Pretty much just wanna see the return of characters from SC3 and 4... including a new revamped Li Long and Hwang and Cassandra and Sueng Mi-na. Just bring ‘em back. And I’ll be a happy lil’ yes boy. The fact the brought Zasalamel back already made me squeal like a little girl, if they have Tira and bring back the others... best believe I’m screaming like a female celeb fan.

dude the thief dagger/bomb moveset was broken as hell. I got through all chronicle of swords or whatever by doing a combo of low bomb>high bomb. it was an infinite combo if i got the first hit

Really agree with Z.W.E.I. and Ashlotte. Being a ZWEI main from start to end in SCV, despite his character having some of the least explanation on. I just found him to be a lot more interesting than the other newer cast, even Viola (who I found to be quite boring). Plus his duo combo with his service animal/seeing eye dog made everything even more interesting both from playstyle and lore..I just REALLY wanted to know where EIN came from and why would he/it be at ZWEI's mercy as some sort of servant. Why are their names that way, is ZWEI really a werewolf? These can ALL be answered in SCVI...Namco... As for Ashlotte, I'm a huge sucker for elegant, pretty, lolita fashion inspired type characters, the doll like traits of her being the nail in the coffin. Her entire aesthetic was just some grand ol' tea for me. I'd play through her mode time and time again just to get that gorgeous ending scenery of her eternal slumber wrapped up in her mound of colourful soft flowers. I loved it to no end. So I'd really love if she returned, she could even keep her design from SCIV, it was beautiful enough on it's own.

I curious on a Top 10 Crossdressers/Traps in Fighting Games

Interestingly, Ashlotte is the only bonus character in Soulcalibur IV with a canon ending. She actually did kill Astaroth and take him back to her clan as evidence, with the Astaroth in SCV being an entirely new creation. This fact alone, should make her viable to return. It would be amazing to see her at the dawn of her creation.

Thanks for reminding me of the Create-a-Soul weapon styles. I want those back and include a slightly revamped Devil Jin style with it. By that I mean no Demon wings and laser beams... Thank you. Otherwise... I want all the bonus characters from SC4 back (Shura, Aslotte, Schezerade, the... Moon chick?, etc...). Also, since SC6 takes place long before SC5, I would at least like SC5's characters as alternate costumes for SC6 characters. Like Pyrhha (my baby) could be an alternate costume for Sophitia while Patrokalos could be an alternate for Cassandra if they ever include her. I'm honestly tired of them reducing character pool every new installation. I'd rather them have a larger character pool... Even if they don't relate to the story. Like honestly, they don't need to. Several fighting games pull characters from different eras. This is a poor example but Naruto Ninja Storm has like every variation of every character as a playable toon. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle and Eye's of Heaven both use every major character from every part of the series instead of just relying on one part of the series to support a game. And honestly, the game is better for it. You get some really wacky interactions between characters that have never met eachother but are related like in Eye's of Heaven where Old Joseph meets Young Joseph and Old Joseph is just like... Was this me??? And Young Joseph is like, this geezer feels familiar. Hell, Eye's of Heaven has a story revolving around all the characters being pulled into different timelines and whatnot. My point is, stop removing characters. Just leave them in and don't utilize them for story purposes, just fighting. I was mad when I lost my boi, Zasalamel is SC5 and I'm kinda tilted losing Pyhrra. At least offer old characters as alternates for main characters.

More on the elyssa idea, maybe moving backwards to guard "winds her up" letting her deal more damage/make her faster but the more she advances this "wind up" effect vanishes

Li Long has always had some moves that were not inherited by Maxi. Maxi has a Bruce Lee style, while Li Long has his own thing. He also appeared in SC3 with 2 nunchucks, which has some potential. As mentioned the nunchucks have those spikes so all of that should be enough to differentiate him from Maxi IMO. If they wanted to reallly overhaul him they could make him use a 3 sectional staff.

I know the only reason he got in was because the gamecube is owned by Nintendo, but I really want Link back. He wasn't too good but I still tried to be the best with him because it's freakin Link.
