This my list of the top 10 haunted locations in Edmonton, Alberta. Every city has local ghost stories, and Edmonton is no exception. Obviously the existence of ghosts and hauntings is strongly debated, but I find that wherever you are on the spectrum of belief it can be interesting to look at haunted locations because it provides information on local history and folklore. Edmonton definitely has more than 10 allegedly haunted spots, I also did another video on 10 more haunted locations in the city and there are even more out there.
I cover the following places in this video:
1 - Fairmont Hotel MacDonald
2 - McKay Avenue School
3 - Alberta Block/Old CKUA Building
4 - Edmonton General Hospital
5 - Princess Theatre
6 - Walterdale Theatre
7 - Pembina Hall U of A
8 - Rutherford House U of A
9 - Gibbard Block/La Boheme
10 - Charles Camsell Hospital
If you got some value out of this one, please give it a like and consider subscribing to my channel - I upload at least one new video per week.
Thanks for watching, cheers!

As a First Nations man, thank you for bringing up the forced sterilizations, it's a dark stain on Canada's past that should be talked about more often but it isn't. Love the content, keep it up!

I appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching! Yeah that facility has a pretty rough past, personally I find the site has a bit of a dark vibe. I'm surprised they didn't demolish the main building before redevelopment!

I pray that First Nations turn towards their future with enthusiasm, and all their great talents, and stop the victim culture which will forever keep them down...they used to be a people of Pride, and strength...but now just teach their children to whimper...rise up!!!😮

As a lifelong edmontonian, I am enjoying your channel, and the Charles Camsell, is one of the only places I have been that may have been actually haunted. As young dumb kids, my friends and I "found" a way in, and let me tell you, it was actually terrifying. Great work, thank you!

Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback! You know what I also consider it to be the most potentially haunted location in Edmonton. Never went inside but heard stories, and the location gives me the creeps when I walk around it. Also just a very significant history. Cheers!

Ive worked in thw Campsell and General Hospitals. I can swear on my kids both are haunted but the General is a whole highr level. NMany people including myself had multiple experiences at the general. I had one at the Campsell .

Natives weren't the only patients at the Charles Camsell Hospital; many people from the Northwest Territories stayed there (healthy northerners preferred to stay at the King Edward Hotel). The Camsell has also served as a set for movies such as "Almost America" (2001) and "Intern Academy" (2004).

I lived in an apartment beside the McKay Avenue School. I used to take my friends there at night and stand outside one of the windows. The light in the classroom where we stood would go on and off like crazy. Always freaked my friends out! Definitely haunted!

My Grandmother worked at the Campsell when it was still considered an Indigenous hospital and fond staff newsletters among her items as well as a round disk with Indigenous symbols on it.

I spent a winter (2018) at the Camsell under its new redesign. Myself and another guy worked in the basement for the most part and did we did tour around the hospital's floors. Was freaked out the first day or so. I took some great photos of graffiti and its underbelly. Nothing to report but definitely some bad practices took place there.

Interesting, thanks for sharing! To me, that site has the darkest energy out of any of the reportedly haunted sites in the city. I really wish I would have explored the main building before it was redeveloped. I wonder if current residents have experienced anything unusual. Cheers mate

I moved away from Edmonton and Canada over 20 years ago, I remember hearing alot about the Camsell hospital, and Princess Theater. Have searched online especially about Camsell, very creepy. If I remember correctly arent they planning on building new condo's over the old hospital grounds?

Yeah they are redeveloping the entire site into a new condo development. I'm not so sure I'd want to invest in a place on this property! Thanks for watching!

The McKay avenue school/museum was an intersting place to work at. This is another location I worked at that I forgot to mention. I can confirm, things certainly get moved around, which is particularly disturbing because most exhibits are encased and locked, which only the "Principal" has access to and shes far too busy to mess around like that. I cannot attest to lights turning on and off. That top floor, is certainly the home of that spirit though, the moment the lights are off, the energy completely shifts and you know that its no longer a place for you to be in.

I have spent a lot of time investing the hospital and you should investigate the basement because you will actually see ww1 ww2 walking down the hall like the Royal Alexander hospital you will see the upper half of their torsos walking down the hall

Hey thanks for watching and I appreciate when people take the time to leave feedback - wow that's wild! You know what, I always thought of the Charles Camsell Hospital was the most haunted site in Edmonton. But a lot of people have been sharing their stories from the General Hospital downtown. One of the oldest buildings in the city, I'd love to investigate the inside of the building one day! Cheers mate

I was at McKay Ave school last night I was running a spirit box there . I got the name Peter last night. I asked if any one was around it said Peter and was giving me info on them. Then I asked if they could make my cat ball go off and it started lighting up. Then got the name Rodger as well but when he came Peter said he was leaving

I agree .. like at the very least I feel like there is negative energy left by violent and hateful actions so there is a residual spiritual imprint or “stain” in these old buildings.

I lived in the apartment meant building directly south of the McKay Ave school for several school. And my balcony & windows looked directly into the top two floors, and I saw many over the years. I worked at a downtown nightclub and would walk by going to and from work. Perfectly ordered desks when I left to work would be overturned on my way home, several times I saw mist in side, and one called the fire department, because I swear I saw fire flickering and smoke.
