i would personally bump Nanase to number 5 since the characters above her use only 1 or 2 wind moves. Nanase has several and uses them to her full advantage albeit hovering, sliding across the stage, tornados, and the wind rasengan

Omg bout time. I been suggesting this for two years in the comments. I just know Talim better be on here cause she’s my favorite character in all fighting games. Next, can you do animal users or people who summon animals. Or use them as weapons/projectiles.
Top ten fighting game characters who use their clothes to fight. Examples: Rose from the Street Fighter series (with her scarf), Kung Lao from the Mortal Kombat series (with his hat), Amane Nishiki from the Blazblue series (with his cloth), etc.
I'll always associate the color mint green with the power of wind because of characters like Talim from Soul Calibur and Hyde from Zatch Bell and now Nanase since her wind is minty too :) Love the shoutout to the original DOA Tengu :D

I was waiting long ago ffor this video. But I missed something...the honorary mentions. Grimnir has the powers of my namesake for example. Riesz is not originally from an FG but that never stopped you. She's a princess from a wind related people. Saber, many FGs has a wind special in Nitroplus too. Pullum Purna. Swift Master. Lilica(Arcana Heart). Hadassa(Pocket Bravery). Rimi(Phantom Breaker). Writing that way I see it's actually harder than it seems so I understand the lack of it. First time commenting on a yours video. "1 character per series of origin." It means the fighting game series they premiered in since crossovers would wreck that rule otherwise. KOF is now the home for a lot of SNK fighting game characters, but Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting were their own franchises for years before KOF became SNK's min fighting game series.

Talim being #1 is awesome~~ She's the main reason I like the Soul Calibur series, but folk way behind on lore and never played 6 so I didn't even know she got her full wind powers. A Shocking Hurricane of revelations, yet a welcomed Gentle like a Breeze~ 😄🌬
When I watched the first blurb of this vid and saw she wasn't featured, I honestly was about to make a joke about that Talim should be in it because she yells "Wind!" all the time. And then she shows up at #1 LOL. Anywho, Talim was my secondary character (after Taki) in SC2. I loved her dodges and quickness. SC3 onward, she just felt weird to me as her dodges weren't the same as in 2. Thus I dropped her afterward. I completely missed that she actually had wind powers in 6 because I never experimented with her in that game.
I had a bigger tangent about SC2 before I edited it down, but Taki was main main in it too! I'll sometimes include the Number 1 in the intro or thumbnail if they're synonymous with the topic, but since Talim goes a bit under the radar, I kept her a secret as long as I could in the video.

The Top 4 was pretty interchangeable for me. I was waffling between who was number 1 for a bit until I decided with the character I didn't plan on putting on the thumbnail so I wouldn't spoil it (even though I sometimes will put the Number 1 pick there if they're eyecatching)
I believe there is a character called wind master in DNF duel that is literally the embodiment of wind. I feel that he would qualify by default over those who have just a single wind move
Admittedly, I don't follow DNF Duel too much, but I feel the game is underrated since I think it has solid mechanics by the looks of it, so I'll try to remember it for future videos!

Cool video, it's too bad Pang Tong from Dynasty Warriors or Matsu, Keiji Maeda, or Kotaro Fuma from Sengoku Basara doesn't get a mention as wind manipulators, even though Hack N Slash and Beat Em' Up up games are cousins to the fighting game genre.

Can't believe you included such weak wind focused characters like Haomaru and you excluded the most iconic, classic and old wind user of all times, Kitana. She's been using wind attacks since 1992 with the fan lift and the square wave punch. But if you count the latest entry, mk1, her wind powers are over the top and are included even in her basic strings. What a shame of top...
Kitana was only held back by the "one per series of origin" rule I set on this list. We give her a lot of love in other videos, but since Fujin was the God of Wind and has wind in about all of his attacks, we ended up going with him. If there was no restriction, she would've been on the list since her Wind Storm is one of those iconic attacks.
I agre. If he wanted to introduce someone from Samurai Shodown, there was a much better option. A character whose fighting style depends completely of wind manipulation, though maybe he is a bit uknown character: Yunfei, from Samurai Shodown 5.
@@MrTopTenList I think this specific case deserved an exception to that rule... Both Fujin and Kitana are such iconic wind users, I cannot imagine a list without them both
And I would like to have a word with her. She's one of my favorite SNK fighting game characters! I was looking for a way to weasel her onto the list with Joe and Goenitz already there, but Garou was technically a Fatal Fury game, so I picked Joe due to the longevity. Jenet may have been on the list without a "one per series of origin" restriction, though.
Do you think Lilly from Sf is a Talim ripoff and that’s why she’s not as popular? I think so they have far too much in common from age, weapons, powers, etc for it to be a coincidence.
I mean this is a good list but I feel that there are better wind users out there that are more suitable for this list. Like Storm & Rachel are fine but they more rely on other elements in their moveset besides wind and I don't think they technically count. Characters in mind are: 1. Temari from Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm where she uses a big fan for all of her wind attacks. 2. Grimnir from Granblue Fantasy Versus who's an ancient deity that is a wind user. 3. Shaheen from Tekken which at 1st I wouldn't think of him using wind but he is like the dollar store version of Rashid in Tekken and just now realizing he uses some wind moves in Tekken 8. 4. Swiftmaster from DNF Duel which honestly I'm surprise he was not on the list for he was the 1st person I think of a user of wind. And 5. Lily from Street Fighter 6 who can easily be tied to 2nd place next to Rashid for she uses natural wind and she uses wind stocks in her moveset.
