Love this video! Local Savannahian here, everything about your video is accurate except the part about Savannah having no open container laws... that is not true. We have what is called "OPEN" container laws, meaning you can legally carry an open container of alcohol anywhere in the historic district only. :)
Is it clearly marked where you can and can’t take your drinks? We are going to Savannah in April and my husband gets a goofy thrill from walking around the streets with a beer (he insisted on doing it every night we were in New Orleans) even though he’s not a big drinker, just because it’s something we can’t do in Pennsylvania, but I’m always worried we will get fined without a warning haha
The "grid system" plan is why it is so walkable. One of the rare, small American cities that have a European feel. I miss and will always love this special city. You both did a fantastic job with the video 🙌💕
That's actually not the original bench from the movie. I believe it even says it on a sign nearby. And how did you not talk about some of the gravestones in Colonial Cemetery. Pay attention to some and you'll see some buried there died before they were born. 😂
Hello, guys! What a very, very interesting content to discover Savannah! Such a fascinating city full of things to do and enjoy! LOVE the US and like to discover more and more! Hugs and cheers from Italy! And my huge like for a great work! Renata
Hi. Heading to Savannah on July 14. Thank you for all of the helpful information as I have never visited this very lovely, historic city before. Thanks again!
Savannah!!! I really like that place! I didn't know about Bay Street though, looks very nice! But I even just released a song taking place in Savannah called Savannah-Hannah, I really hope I could capture Savannah in it!
WOW..my mom was born and raised In Savannah GA but later moved to Rochester, NY in 1975. Her name Is Marie Stafford and she just had her 70th birthday on August the 2nd. Would like to visit Savannah when before Christmas season. 👍.
I’ve never been out there before my son went out there and fell in love and he’s moving there and he told me that I would love it and so I thought I need to see a video he is so right it’s like a dream
Thank you for the video. My girlfriend and I are planning to drive to Savannah from Atlanta in late September. What hotel did you stay at? Thanks again.
Hi! We hope you have a great time when you visit! If you google "Savannah Holly Days" it'll pull up the cities winter calendar. Seems like they have some fun things planned!
Great video. Please consider re-phrasing your comment on the original “true” American. As the original native tribes in the area were forcibly removed by president Andrew Jackson even after fighting for his army.
No, America didn't exist in native days. The man was one of the first people born in America after the country was officially founded. Those 'natives' at the time would have considered themselves Cherokee, Seminole, and other nations - not American.
