@@ISetYourFaceOnFireexactly, he’s done some wrong but in the grand scheme of things he stood up for himself and got punished for it, I’m glad he’s getting one more run to finish off his career
@@mattyt5605 It wasn't that he didn't like him but more of a teaching issue on how things are done. Let's just say AEW guys have it way too easy and probably wouldn't of survived the Taker running Wrestlers Court days. It wasn't for the weak that's for sure.
@@og-ew7pw Well for starters they don't have to learn to be better. Take Hangman and The Bucks. They don't have to take advice. Ask em they'll tell ya. Explains why they've been in the Indies forever. Also Page and The Bucks can do whatever they want. Go into business for themselves. Go on the internet and talk shit about others behind their back suck ass at cutting promos. Throw chairs at people in matches. Not sell. In short a lot of the roster sucks. Especially the Elite. The problem is people have to kiss their ass or Meltzer gets angry and spams bullshit. Wrestlers would bust their ass to have such an opportunity. All the Bucks have to do is be Tumblers. It's not fair to people who bust their ass. Same with Page. Indy darlings have it made in AEW. There's MLW guys far better than most of the AEW Shit show.
Another way to be friends witu Austin is 1. Work for WWE 2. Suffer a scary neck injury Tyson Kidd told CVV about Austin checking up on him since Austin relates having neck issues
@goat7728 hmmmm let's see. The entire All Out media scrum. And for Bret, look up any video about the screw job or Goldberg. Bret screwed Bret and Goldberg hurt him. He's been crying for over 20 years every chance he gets about both of them.
The lerson calling him a cancer in the locker room only has a successful WWE career because of him😂 he just got mad when punk wouldnt come back in 2019 to wrestle him
I doubt Seth truly hates Punk. He had a history of being a fanboy of Punk he probably just want that dream match with him that’s why he’s saying those things. it shows that only those kids and self entitled wrestlers in AEW who thinks they’re stars which they’re not hates CM Punk.
@@answer4256 bro how would you know 😂 you don’t even know their friendship. If stone cold calls him a friend that all I need to know cause that’s the bottom line
A lot of people love and respect him. He doesn't follow the agenda, that's why media tarnishes him and try to make sheeple hate him and think he's scum. They hate what they can't control.
Generalizing is never a good idea, but if you really want to do it, then the same could be said for pretty much every top star such as Cena, Orton, HHH…Hogan… but I don’t see anyone defending them…
It wasn't that, it was the fact that people LIKE jericho, LIKE the Elite hated the fact that Punk was drawing more money than they were, was getting million dollar gates than they were, why do you think Dave Meltzer was putting up every week stuff like "CM Punk WANTS OUT of AEW" or "CM PUNK WILL LEAVE AEW WITH THE AEW WORLD TITLE" and then went quiet when he was confronted. It's also safe to say that the drama was there way before Phil Brooks debuted with the company, PLUS, his own wife (Phil/CM Punk) AJ Lee Brooks has said in an interview that the Elite (specifically Matt and Nick Jackson) kept pestering CM Punk all the time 24/7, 365 days to join AEW and Punk got fed up and said "If you want to talk to me about joining AEW, DO IT on a time I want, otherwise fuck off!"
@@BurningMoreXPWrong people because you don't question the assholes in charge? Who's in a SA scandal right now? Punk or Vince. Nah you pussies don't get it. Punk fights EXACTLY who he needs/should fight. Simple as. EDIT: And as a Jerichoholic I'm disappointed in the shit he pulled to.
It says a lot when the majority of old school wrestlers think highly of you. Although I thought the media scrum was a mistake at the time, I think Punk should totally return! I can only imagine the reaction throughout the wrestling world when and if it happens
I don't think the media scrum was a mistake at all. Punk is upfront and unapologetically honest. Most people can't handle it. I respect anyone that is honest, no matter how negative they are.
Honestly the EVP's deserved their shit rocked but hey what do I know the Young Bucks and Omega pulls stupid shit then get rewarded with the trios championship
Punk is a polarizing figure, but you gotta respect a man who says whats on his mind. Yeah he is selfish, but in a cut throat business, who isn’t? He worked hard to build his brand and can’t take that away from him
He's kinda isn't selfish at all. He's put some much talent over. HHH was selfish back in the day the dude baried so many wrestlers. Punk doesn't just stand up for himself he stood up for the shield, kofi, danial Bryan and ect. Sure he's selfish at times but usually for a reason.
@@cngotham4111 You nailed it. He's a guy who appreciates hard work. He truly loves the business and just wants to see the guys who bust their ass get rewarded.
@@8Bitorbust eactly while also not being a pushover. People seeing punk being in multiple public issues just call him a crybaby people seem to not realize there's tons of issues with both wwe and aew.
@@cngotham4111 Well for whatever reason people love the entitled brats aka the young bucks. I listened to Meltzer today and seems to believe that Punk should bow before them..... I laughed so hard I cried. For what? They started this gossip girl bs and Hangman never got punished for his ****. Everyone calling Punk unprofessional live under the delusion that actions have no consequences. I guarantee you if the situation was flipped they'd still side with the Bucks. Which if it was flipped I would too but these are grown ass men. Meddling in serious business that does not involve them. So he called them out they wanted to fight him they lost. Now they refuse to work with him because they know he'd never put them over nor should he. If I'm Tony, I make them do it or they're fired. He's hired all their lazy ass Indy friends, family, given them a life they could ever dream and they're being this difficult. If this isn't a work then they are without a doubt the biggest p***ies in the history of pro wrestling. They could work with Punk. Punk's a pro and I'm sure he'd even be willing to drop a match or 2 them but it sure as **** want be a squash or punishment to them because they sure as hell don't deserve it. Hell I'd be embarrassed as hell to lose to two guys who bsed their way into a new wrestling promotion because they couldn't hack it any other company. They're truly a joke now.
Its really a shame what Jericho has become. He has become in AEW what he hated about WCW in the 90’s. I met him when I was 17yrs old in 2014 at Music Millennium in Portland Oregon. He was doing a Fozzy signing before RAW and I took a picture with him. I looked up to him like a hero. Then I find out that he donated 40k of his own money to the Trump Campaign in 2020 and that his wife was at the capital on January 6 for the Trump rally/insurrection. He has also been very delusional as of late patting himself on the back for anything and everything AEW related. I don’t understand how his ego got so big over the past 5yrs but he is definitely not the same humble Chris Jericho I met almost 10yrs ago. I had two wrestling heroes growing up CM Punk and Chris Jericho and I feel like CM Punk is the only one who hasn’t disappointed me or let me down as a fan. They say never met your heroes and with Jericho I feel that statement reigns true.
@@daesgatling1345thanks to the degenerate egotistical “wrestlers” in the locker room over there. He tried to be a mentor but kids will be kids. A bunch immature children over there who don’t want advice all while they plummet their own company. Punk brought me back to aew twice. Haven’t tuned in since…. I ain’t the only one.
It’s more of the Kliq community that hates CM Punk as they hate actual wrestling since it’s a thousand times better than what they can produce, which is why they restructure it all to benefit them and keep the actual talent for wrestling down.
It's funny how the wrestling outlets wants you to forget that all these performers said all this about Punk. Let's call it how it is. What Punk did at the scrum was a bit unprofessional, but it created more news for AEW than ever before and it side stepped another title vacation due to injury. I do feel it could have been handled better but at the same time there is obviously a leak in AEW that Spreads information to Fightful and Sean Ross Sapp. Punk had every right to put that on blast when those Leaks not only hurt Punk's image but also made AEW and Tony look bad as well. Punk, FTR, Starks, Darby, Sting on their own show is probably for the best. And it will give fans a reason to watch either show.
my big thing with the the Brawl out thing is that while yes punk was unprofessional, so were the bucks. Anyone in any level of management at any company knows if someone is that angry you, you do not turn it into a direct confrontation. That situation needs to be handled by someone else until the parties that are pissed off have calmed down. You got 2 guys (to a lesser degree Kenny because he did seem to want to keep the peace) who are supposed to EVP's who instead of realizing that at the very least they can't be the guys to handle that confrontation go and actively seek it out immediately after that fact.
I loved hearing Rey saying he still has a good relationship with Phil because in early 2009 I believe I met cm punk and an autograph signing and he took a picture of my hair cut at the time my barber did a badass design of Reys mask it was badass and he showed Rey himself 💙💯🤙
As a business person, its not how loved you are, but who loves you. When you have the cream of the crop singing your praises, that speaks volumes. In any business, talent praises talent and fakes attack talent in fear of being exposed.
Cm punk has been my favorite since day one ,when I first started watching in 2009 the whole straight edge thing appealed to me as a kid and all my buddies at the time always said “he’ll never be on John cenas level” it’s cool to see the script flipped
No he doesn't aew needs cm punk to help save them from losing more viewers at this point I think we as wrestling fans who watched both are now solely watching WWE because aew is right now that bad and needs change
It’s actually criminally insane how AEW fucked up this hard in keeping CM Punk Tony Khan is not a good leader. As much as I hate Vince McMahon, he was atleast able to get guys who hated each other to work together
Straight Edge is fine. But Punk is just a whiney crybaby quitter. And it’s getting old with his doing the same thing over & over. Quit WWE. Quit UFC. Quit AEW. People don’t see a pattern?
What makes me admire CM Punk is he doesn’t give a f*ck! Despite what happened in the last interview in AEW, this guy is the game changer. It’s crazy how some of his fans turned on him so fast. What a bunch of Hypocrites!!
You and I see 👀 eye to eye 👁 on this. When Punk speaks, I listen. He's one of the few that'll tell it to you raw and unapologetically as opposed to others who sugar coat or blatantly lie.
Look, no one is probably ever gonna know what happened in that locker room, but I don't get why kenny gets so much hate on the punk situation. What is reportedly being said is kenny got in, got the dog to safety when shit hit the fan, tried to de-escalate the situation only to get bitten by Ace steel. He's also open to working with punk when he comes back
@@Simon25-17 I wouldn't work with Omega and the bucks if my life depended on it after that stunt they legitimately did stupid things got suspended then upon return booked themselves to win the trios championship
@Simon 2517 you're right, no one does know. And kenny also has reports of not doing so since ace Steeles wife had Larry once the door hit him. And kenny barging in with the bucks and doing nothing makes sense? It's ALL speculation, so I don't get why you are so sure kenny did nothing wrong.
@@TheUltimateWiseau because there was an investigation and after that the elite were back so I'm leaning into those reports to be the truth. Also it seems to be CONFIRMED that punk and kenny had a talk right after the brawl and that punk said "i have no issues with you" towards kenny, which wouldn't be the case if he did something during the brawl, wouldn't it
The Reason why Tony Kahn is never going to let Punk go. Aside from the fact that he’s practically beloved by all his colleagues, CM Punk has been AEW’s biggest draw. The ppv that did the biggest numbers was the first ppv he main evented. The highest rated episodes of Dynamite and Rampage were the CM Punk debuts. The 2nd highest rated episodes of Dynamite and Rampage were the 1st time Punk wrestled. Add that to the fact Punk hasn’t wrestled in almost a year and he’s still the most talked about thing in AEW…and it just proves how important Punk is to the long term success of AEW.
I consider Punk the best/real wrestler that people born after 00's have seen! Always true and improving inside the ring and even in commentary... Nobody can touch him! ❤
If Tony Kahn had any f'n sense he'd do what Jim Cornette suggested and have the main event of the Wembley Stadium show be Kenny and the Bucks vs CM Punk and FTR
There wouldn't be any room left in the ring once the the evp's and their undeserved egos make their entrance. It would be a really good match and that's why it'll never happen. Tony's super shitty at booking and decision making.
Jim Cornette is a POS clown. Over the years i heard people say that but i don’t listen to gossip. I met him at the 1996 Hall Of Fame ceremony. I’ve always been nice and friendly, and Jim was being a dick for no reason. I shared a table with him and the man I spent the night chatting with, Michael PS Hayes, who was embarrassed about how Jim was acting. Michael Hayes was so down to earth and a really cool cat.
The fact that some of the most professional and experienced people in the industry all vouch for him tells you he's nothing but professional himself. You get the sense he's a bit like Bret Hart in the sense he wants to do his best and takes it very seriously and that may ruffle a few feathers of guys who are happy to just clown around.
It’s an older generation that sees the value, And the younger ones who understand what his true potential could mean not only for the company but for them to grow
Good compilation. I'm sure you've already received it in the comments, but a few good kudos to include would be Kurt Angle telling Jim Ross on Ross's podcast that he would love to wrestle CM Punk as his last match, Steve Austin telling Larry King he'd love to wrestle CM Punk as his last match, Jim Ross at an inside the ropes interview speaking highly of CM Punk , The Undertaker on saying that he was good with CM Punk and Jim Cornette talking with Jim Ross about CM Punk's exit from the WWE at the time it happened.
CM Punk: We should be the main event at WM. Taker: I can't argue with that. Let's show Vince he made a mistake. CM Punk: He's paying for that too. Taker: That's the spirit.
The strange problem is with the fans, they hate him and they have no personal problem with him. The problem is with the company and among the wrestlers, you have nothing to do with it.
Yeah but to be fair to him it was a committee of multiple people, and he is on good terms with punk. I can’t imagine it was an easy choice to make for anyone one involved but he was unfortunately the consistent element between the two incidents and when those tensions keep coming up between you and other talent regardless of “who’s more to blame” your name keeps coming up you know. Besides now at least punk is back at wwe and he seems happy enough and the people at AEW seem happy too so no one loses at the end of the day.
Some of the very best to do it vouch for him. I doubt the sour opinions of the same exact fans who wanted him to return for years, hold any merit to him.
- stand on what YOU believe; that’s why punk has been places but also still has real friends because they realize who he is and the type of person he is
Facts undertakes held that locker room down for many decades.. it was kinda crazy how quickly he became a backstage leader after being hired in a few years he was Vince right hand man and tried keeping everyone in check while also not always sucking up to Vince in the benefit of the wrestlers at time.. I believe undertaker is the guy Vince respects the most in the business imo.
@@Hahafunnyha He is talking about a respected presence in the AEW locker room that people look up to, just like Taker was in WWE. It wasnt really difficult.
Goddamn it. Remember like, 8 months ago when everyone was laughing at Punk and saying he was crazy? Right now I just feel bad for him. Maybe he wasn't as bad as we thought.
id be so proud if samoa joe considered me as a peer lol, phil can be a cantankerous guy by all accounts but hes never been unreasonably hostile imo. also his moves are crisp i love his fluidity
