joshua lee There’s a pretty clear difference between one tap to a person’s shoulder if you want something (not something personal) from them vs gripping sb’s arm tight with your whole hand or touching sb’s waist or even putting your crotch against sb’s ass like some guys at the club do. It’s not that difficult.

It's normal in Germany. Idk but shaving is like, something that makes me feel fresh and clean. So I do it. The sad thing is, in Germany are sooo many guys who think that hair under is disgusting. I like that in South Korea it's pretty normal when girls aren't shaved or something like that :) the girls in Germany have to be perfect in the under part, without any hair or something like that. That sucks

A lot of ppl for some reason think that being polite is to be submissive after being around Korean woman I can tell you this is a mistake lol .They were always polite till they got mad then they would lay out what you had done wrong . Very independent and very reliable when they told you they would take care of some thing it always got done . Lot of fun lot of singing and they loved watching dramas but tried to avoid having any in their daily lives.

i think its more of a stereotype in the past generations they hunkered down the home n took care of the kids and the house while the man brought home the paycheck for his family... obviously things has changed nowadays more n more men in korea are willing to take care of the kids without the wife present.. kinda thats why the return of superman pilot concept became an actual show

I grew up watching Kung fu movies. Women were portrayed as soft and weak. This way the Male hero could rescue them. Watch American westerns. The same technique is used. I think that basically Americans think that Asian women are easier to get along with than American women.

I think that it has something to do with education or I.T. or something. It is never too late or too early to change your destiny. When I was young I spent a year in Europe. I felt free, like no one was judging me. Like the world was full of possibilities. I never saw the world the same again. Unfortunately I wasn't disciplined enough to make the most of my opportunities, but it is nice to have pleasant memories.

Park Soo Yeong This is not how discussions work. Regardless of your argumentative flaw you should try not stooping so low as to use insults when disagreeing with someone. The only thing you've proven is that that guy's comment got to you emotionally and he's able to influence you with simple statements. You provided absolutely zero arguments or evidence that supports your point. When arguing with someone, disagreeing with them YOU provide that to counter his argument regardless of if he provided anything or not. You are trying to deconstruct his point and prove him wrong. The opposite party DOES NOT go to Google to do YOUR research. I think probably why girls like to hang out in cafes too, is because most women are naturally social people. It's in our nature to enjoy hanging out with our close girlfriends, drinking coffee or whatever, chatting about all aspects of our lives, and as Jina said we like beautiful or pretty places to hang out and do that, good ambience makes for a good feeling all round.

That is something I notice a lot about Spanish girls. I have met Japanese guys and girls before, and they didn't get the "I'm happy to see you, so I hug you!" or if you see someone shy, ask them to dance in a goofy way so that they are not alone and they get in the mood. I remember this Japanese guy getting soooooo awkward because I asked them to join a dance with more people, and then I realised it was a cultural thing, so I apologized to him. That is another reason why foreign guys think that us Spaniards are "easy" or "flirty", because they misunderstand our kind/friendly behaviour. Of course, this is a generalisation, but it is so true. In fact, I have friends that don't like to hug, and I hug them like a teddy bear. In the end, most end up hugging me super tight too. I think Korean guys would misunderstand me a lot!

I also hate how touchy Americans can be. And I noticed it's more prominent with older more southern generations. Like it's rude to say to an older person no I dont want to hug and so I still do it but I really don't like hugging people I don't know or being expected/forced to hug.

I know it's quite a while this comment was written but don't think too much about it. I'm half Filipina and I'm also a bit tanned and no Korean I met in my life said something about my skin color. And honestly I saw some Korean who are also a bit "darker" so be confident of being a Filipina :)

10:14 “shave under” implies shaving under your armpits because that’s how you would say iit. If you’re referring to your pubic area, you would say “shave down there”. That’s why Mik was confused at first, it just wasn’t worded quite right!

More seriously, Aegyo comes from the world wide distribution of mind control programs of suppressing women and sexualizing children (sexualizing infant behavior). Off the top of my head, You see it strongly in Japanese culture in manga and in western culture, through the “princess” codes especially through Disney productions. Some countries and cultures don’t take it in as much as others and it can develop in new maybe more positive directions, but it does stem originally from the domination tactics centuries ago.

No. 1, true. I was stunned by how many Starbucks there were in Shanghai. Almost every block had one and they were all each and every one of them filled. AND truth, across the street of most was a KFC. Very few McDonalds, one Taco Bell, no Jack in the box. KFC was king in Shanghai. But Starbucks was god.

I experienced the hugging thing from number 4 here in America. my Taiwanese friend and I spent time together. He was one of a few friends that I had from different parts of Asia and one day after being friends for a while I went to give him a hug goodbye without thinking and he practically flew backwards. I was so shocked cause it was just a friendly thing and I didn’t think about how he would be shocked by it. Lol. Once he realized what was going on it was okay but it was shocking for both of us I think. Lol

I love to met someone and hug them. I love to hug my friends. But usually when I’m not really close with a boy I just hate when they keep touching me. Usually when I am with my friends that are girls i usually don’t mind. I loved the fact that she talked about that forced cute atitude that Korean girls have to pass through. @@mmaantj well some do. They have some clubs and even music festivals where you can buy stickers that say "touch here" and you can put them anywhere in your body for people to touch. Look it up if you don't believe me. I think it just depends but don't depict all Korean women as innocent Angels. Plus, there's nothing wrong with a woman owning up to her sexuality. Not saying it's right to touch someone without their permission, it is actually very wrong and that's sexual harrassment.

about the unshaven hair down there that makes me think of most German men shave their armpits while in the US pretty much every man (with shirts where you could see the armpits) had a bush underneath their armpits XD the first time I saw my American fiances armpit hair I was a little bit shocked (It didn't bother me because I also like beards and viking looking men) but now I'm used to it.

@@Xynic48 i had a time when i smelled bad under my arms even after the shower, and i did shower at least once a day. I went to the pharmacy to get something against it. I don't like perfumed deodorant that much. The seller gave me a antibacterial deodorant and told me that i had to shave there. If not, the bacteria which are at the hairs won't go away that easy. I did and it worked. You are not stop sweating of course. But if you have full bush down there, it's warmer and you will sweat more. I don't like full shave at girl's, but trimming is nice. Hairs from front to back looks gross...

Was reading some of the comments here and i guess not many people realize that some people, men and women, actually like doing aegyo/acting cute. I find it endearing and a sign of closeness (as in, if i do aegyo to you it means I'm very comfortable with you, vice versa). Most Asian women don’t do waxing or trimming down the private area. The biggest reason I know is there’s not much hair to trim. We don’t have big issues or concerns about unwanted hair. Some don’t even have hair on their armpits.

This is hilarious. I’m not korean, or Asian at all. Asians females are portrayed to be so passive and submissive in America, but I think that is very, very demeaning to Asian women and also completely wrong. From the Asian women I have met, they have been very very intelligent and hardworking, and very willing to take control of things and headstrong and I feel like that is admirable in America considering the stereotype. I’ll agree with him, here in America, even more so in the south, we are touchy people. Not me personally, but it’s common to meet someone and hug them. I don’t like it.

Been married to a Korean for over 43 years so I stopped dating Korean girls back in 1979 after I met the wonderful Korean lady who would become my wife. But I do love Korea and was first stationed there in early 1977 and spent a total of four years over in Korea. But there are a few other things as well but for you to find those out you will have to date a few Korean ladies.

I kinda disagree with some of the things that have been said here 🤣 it’s difficult to generalize, of course I understand that, but I think there is different sides for everything. Korean girls are strong, but a lot of them have gender stereotypes such as: the guy has to pay more, the guy must have a car, guys must be the ones to pay for the house when you marry, etc. About the skinship. If we are talking about club culture... Korean clubs are insane. I also go just to dance as you said, but that’s not the general conception. You go to the club for “hunting”, looking for a sexual partner, etc. The no shaving culture amazes me somehow. Is there a reason for that? Why do people prefer hair there? (I mean, you don’t need to go as extreme as Brazilian waxing, but some waxing). I shower in public bathrooms many times a week and I see some furtive looks 🤣 I’ve always wondered what they are thinking when they see my shaved area 🤣🤣🤣🤣

if you ask doctors they say its better to have some hair down there to actually protect you genital area, hair is there to control bacteria and regulate vaginal ph balance ... once you let your pubic area totally clean , your ph changes and certain infections get easier access to your genital

i grew up in Queens, NY. we had a large amount of Korean and Chinese people there. I had my share of dating both mainly because that was what i saw the most. I can say it is good to have a video of different nationalities. Korean girls are entirely different than Chinese girls. i married a Chinese girl, but let me say i think, especially early in a relationship, natural western guys are more comfortable with Korean girls. Korean girls are less likely though to date outside their culture from what i experienced than Chinese. I still think though Korean girls are more westernish than Chinese are and tend to be a bit easier to communicate with as a result Korean girls tend to speak out more and be more emotional or forward. obviously, this is generalities and there will be exceptions.

Ok for everyone who´s freaking out about that "she wants to be independent but does aegyo, so her boyfriend buys her stuff" do you even know what independent means?? Someone is independent, when they can make their own life choices. Like, if you wanna move to another town, you can (if you have enough money of course). But getting a present is something SO different. I wouldn´t say that my mom depends on me, just because I bought her a dobby figure. That sounds ridiculous, right?
