I just discovered your channel....and I cried..... This video gives me hope. I am a 47 year old mom with severe thinning hair and living quite the solitairy life due to this... You just gave me new HOPE. Maggie from... Belgium. THANK YOU! 🌹
Thank you, Jill. I really appreciate your page. You've inspired me! I've suffered from thinning hair ever since I had my children, more than 20 years ago. As a former "80s" girl, it's been a tough pill to swallow. Your page, with your fun approach to helper hair, gave me the courage to get my first topper (Top Notch) a few months ago. I'm now hooked and got my 2nd topper this week, the Belle Tress you also show on this video.
Hello Dawn! I don't know how I missed this! You are so kind, and I am so happy to know my videos helped you to get the courage to start you helper hair journey! How is it going these days? I would love an update! :)
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy Thank you so much for replying. I'm up to 3 toppers. I love the texture of the Belle Tress HD fibers, but I like the Top Notch base with that center clip. I've considered sewing a center clip onto the Belle Tress toppers, but for now, I'm making them work. I've made the transition to 100% work from home, so I'm not wearing them daily. However, I am totally on point for Zoom calls!
I have been looking at toppers for the summer, this video was a huge help, I have seen your previous ones but this has all the options, I want something easy going that is not real air and that I don't have to style a lot, just have some more volume...thanks for another great video...your nails look real, really nice, love French manicure, very elegant....now, if only my Impressive would get here, she has been on route for 39 days...stay safe and thanks so, so much
Such a wonderful video. You took your time and explained it slowly in words that anyone could understand. What a wonderful first step for those who are just starting to research this subject. Thank you!
You've got this, Judy! ;). I do appreciate you watching, and thank you for your kind words....I really do hope you find plenty of content here that you find helpful.
Thank you so much for your encouragment Jill. I'm rather new to having to wear wigs due to chronic alopecia. It has been pretty depressing but at the same time, wearing wigs gives me the best hair I've ever had. Now if I can just convince my husband that it's ok for me to want more than one. LOL!
Great, Great information Jill. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us, i have learned a lot from you and some others. Thank you, have a great day! You're the best! 💕
Great videos, Jill. I'm just wondering what's your easiest, everyday topper/wig option? I got interested in getting a jon renau topper because of your videos, and I also want to start with their synthetic fiber ones, how long do they last you with frequent wear?
Thanks for such wonderful information. I have a pixie cut and just need some extra coverage on the back of the crown but can't find anything as they're all too long. Can you advise?
HA! I have to have a hysterectomy on Thursday. I asked the anesthesiologist today if I can wear my topper, she saId NO! My OB is not going o recognize me! The jig is up!!!!
Sharon C haha! I am sure it won’t be the first patient she has had that uses helper hair. 😉 It will also be the furthest thing from her mind. Keep rocking your helper hair! Hugs to you!
Such Wonderful Information!! You Explain Sooo Many Options, That Are So Easy To Understand!! You Are Amazing Lovely Lady!! Thank You For a Fantastic Video as Always!! Please You and Yours Stay Safe and Well!! Always!! Hugs!! Talk To You Soon!!
Hi, I just purchased my first topper, the Jon Ranau top smart synthetic topper, have you tried that one? I haven't received it yet, but your videos gave me the courage to take the plunge. I have a question though, how long do the jon ranau synthetic wigs last for you?
I don't know if your a pool person, but do you know if these pieces will stay on in the pool? Also is it possible for a man to wear a topper? I'm thinking about my husband who is balding in 2 spots in the back of his head. It's hereditary. Oh, I do enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I can’t wear a topper because my hair’s become a frizzy texture and looks damaged although it’s no longer dyed blonde and it’s well looked after, it’s just the aging process. The bald patches have filled in mostly since starting daily minoxidil capsules 5 years ago. I still looks awful because of the texture, sections that don’t grow longer than 1 1/2 inches and thinning. A large cap wig is the only option for me. Or just not bothering about what I look like at all because I really don’t have time.
Hello Hilda, Feel free to forward through when you feel the need. It's the way I am, and I don't fight it. ;) My main focus is always to help others who may be looking into helper hair options, and hopefully easing some anxiety if it exists~. Thanks for watching!
I have a Raquel Welch topper that I like, but it has a lace front. I like this topper when it's clipped a little back from my hairline (which is thin, but ok). Is there a way to do this better when you have a lace front, but don't want to wear it at the hairline?
Hi Jill! I think you are so fabulous! Thank you for all that you share and do to support us. I was wondering...When we measure the circumference of our head to determine our cap size, do we wrap the tape measure just to that bump at the base of our skull (occiput) or do we wrap it all the way to where our hairline ends? I have an uneven hairline on the back of my head, and am not clear where to go. Also, do you have any helpful advice for people who have widows peaks?
Jenny S that’s an excellent question. I learned how to measure correctly by watching Jon Renau’s “How to measure your head for a wig” video here on RU-vid!
Thank you for this channel. I am loseing my hair and I have been watching all your videos. I am a new subbie. Do you have any videos on how to put a wig on? I just ordered my very first wig.
I love watching your videos and have not seen this questions addressed before. I have overall thinning...mostly along the top side hairline. My natural hair is cut in a one length shorter than chin length bob with bangs. I want to try toppers before wigs first as I live in Southern CA where it is hot most of the year. What do you recommend I try first that will accommodate my thin bangs and blunt cut? Also, how do I choose a color when I still have my natural hair colored and it seems to fade almost immediately? Do I pick the faded color or the color it is right after it is refreshed? Thank you so much.
Can you recommend any 3/4 wigs? I ordered one from Paul Young, loved the way it fit down over you head more, and it was really nice until you looked at the top and see my scalp almost like my own hair. So disappointed with it.
I lost my hair the first time due to a medication allergy. I was in university and one time when I was at home I got asked by a complete stranger in a store if I had cancer. I didn’t care I lost my hair and wore a ball cap. When I had a job I had to wear a wig and I called it the rat. Over ten years later my hair grew back.Several years later it fell out again due to stress and in two weeks it was gone. It grew back in about a year or two. A few years after my mum died it fell out again. It was coming back in again and I got hit by a car and now it is showing little sign of growing back. I hate that I live in a town that is so narrow minded but because I do I wear a wig. I am glad there are good options available now.
Do u find that the front clip in the Easi part xl peeks through? I got one after lots of research but once I got it it felt like the placement for the front clip might be off. Could be an issue only w darker color or a fluke. Not sure. Help. Ideas?
Same here. I bought my first topper, Top Notch by Jon Renau a few months ago and worried that I'd gotten a knock-off. Everything else was the same and it styles well.
Love your videos! My funds are low but I need a new wig. I’m debating on raquel welch’ unfiltered and simmer . I don’t like my hair over my shoulders and I try to use hair to hide my double chin. Can you recommend one of these. can we email you?
Ginger Baker aww thank you for your compliment! I have been experimenting with acrylic dip powder, and I’ll be sharing what I have learned and what I started using in my next Gab Sesh!
