This D50 is really growing on me. Analogue characteristics. Softer than most digital sources and less glare (which some call, detail). It sounds more natural. Less grain in the treble.
For me first part has a more punchier bass …. the 2nd part tad less bass, laid back sounding smoother for long listening… Nice comparison… thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
you probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last few weeks =)
Hello! Recording sound through microphones greatly improves the perception of music! Thank. It seemed to me that the d50 has a bit more detail, and the dx3 - the sound is a bit "fatter". Both DAC worthy! And how do you think about this?
Hi Dante! I've enjoyed your videos + recordings. Whatever recording devices you used (I saw once you recorded with Tascam). Probably one of the best hi-fi demo videos!
Hello sir! Just bought dx3+ with hd560s headphones and I little bit confused. I can't hear any difference with integrated pc audio card. Maybe I did something wrond way, DAC works in PCM mode, when I turn on DSD mode, flac files go slower than they should. Can you help me? Or let me know where I can find any advice. I really want to dive into that world of quality sound, but I need some help.
@@asedillo1 I'm using foobar2000, I did all set up like in manual that comes with the DAC, but still can't hear any difference between hi-res files and music from youtube. Maybe it's in the headphones? Do you know something about sennheiser hd560s? Maybe it can't play hi-res music?
@@anonanonov3845 honestly if i remember it correctly when it comes to headphone the original release of dac was not that great but when you use for amps/speakers that is where they shine
i don't understand how to connect an external DAC to my receiver. I want my receiver's amp to power the speakers. I still want to use my receiver's wifi for streaming and play music from usb stick and phono for vinyl. Can yo udo a video explaing HOW TO USE A EXTERNAL DAC to RECEIVER?
I dont think you can use your receiver streamer because normally they dont jave bypass. You normally connect your source like cd transport/player or pc to DAC then DAC connects to amp.
Absolutely: source to DAC in digital (ie use a digital output from your source, whether it be USB, coaxial or optical), the DAC will now output a converted analogue signal, that your receiver takes in from its RCA inputs.
Hi, thanks for watching. You can't go wrong with any of the two but if the budget is a bit restricted I understand D50 is cheaper now. IMHO SU8 has a little bit authority over D50.
To me dx3 sounds more analitic and digital, D50 more analogic and warm. Both have good performances anyway. If your amply has a dark sound I would go for dx3,otherwise d50
Hi... Which one is more detail, natural and transparant between DX3pro vs E30 vs D50s vs D30 vs Audioengine D1? i use 3way floorstand and full tube ampli Thanks....
Sorry mate, I can only comment on DX3 and D50 since the rest I have not owned before. I will lean for D50 for details.....DX3 to me is more of smooth sounding....More natural than D50 i should say.
Hi, thanks for watching. They are all good for their price tbh. It all boils down to preference about how you like sound. I prefer SMSL and D50 for classical because the way i hear it is a bit brighter compared to DX3.
Thanks for watching. Are you referring to DX3, D50 and SMSL-SU8? They all sound great for the price IMHO. Different characteristics being the DX3 pro as smooth sounding while the D50 and SMSL-SU8 a bit neutral to my hearing. If I will only keep one for me it will be the SMSL-SU8 due to having it's internal power supply. I believe the price is almost the same now with D50.
Nice effort, but for me seems a useless video. It's like comparing 2 televisions and you shoot it with a smartphone to show a difference in image quality :(
Great video i also have queen collection on sacd. I have topping d90 with arcam a38 amp and b&w 685 s2 speakers and also using foobar. I'm a little confused as to why your foobar states the tracks are flac and the dacs are receiving dsd. I prefer to play the native format. wavpack is pretty good at compressing dsd.
Hi, I've been using the DX3 Pro for my HD650 for a while now actually and it sounds good. The only comparison that I have is my Oppo 105 and I would say DX3 pro sounds a bit smoother and have more details while the Oppo is a little bit bright. In terms of low end, to my hearing they are both ok but I know my HD650 is not so good in the low freq. I have Yamaha W300 but that is no way any near to HD650 so not good to compare.
@@asedillo1 Interesting, I'm mainly interested in the DX3 for driving my headphones. On what number are you when you're listening on the 650 (moderate listening volume, low gain) ?
