Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ru-vid.comUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
lmao this is hilarious. you should do a RU-vid challenge against the other fishing youtubers to see who can catch the biggest bass on an ice fishing rod with a frog. everyone gets 24 hrs to do as soon as they cast their first cast.
second cast muskie, second cast muskie, second cast muskie, second cast muskie, second cast muskie, second cast muskie, SECOND CAST MUSKIE, SECOND CAST MUSKIE, SECOND CAST MUSKIE, SSEECCOONNDD CCAASSTT MMUUSSKKIIEE!!!!!!
Hey Mike, Your videos have inspired me to get a bait caster. It will be my second one ever. Last time I had or even used one was 5 years ago. I'm 17 and I'm just want to thank you for what you do. I watched your bait caster "How-to" video and it helped a lot. Thanks again man.
Found your channel looking to see if anyone had done something this ridiculous...was not disappointed. Love frog fishing, so rewarding when they actually get it, but it is crazy frustrating even with a proper frog rod and heavy line...the fish just miss the bait a lot regardless of how well you do. Great job actually landing one.
Hey what I do to get better hookups when frog fishing is to wait two seconds after a blowup and then set the hook. This will dramatically increase your hook up ratio. Hope this helps!
I love your videos by the way. I enjoy watching them and I take notes on the advice and techniques you show to better myself. Thank you for the amazing content!
+NCFisherman22 Where in NC do you fish? I'm in charlotte and i fish close to nc/sc borderline, lots of honey holes there and all I land is 4-6 pound hogs.
I don't know who would give this video a thumbs down. This is great! I laughed so hard! 1Rod, another great video. Keep doing these challenges! BTW, I caught 5 bass at Elkhorn last weekend using tips I learned from you. Thanks again!
Haha you know you are frustrated when all that can come out of your mouth is "Goshfkuhaaaagh" Good video man nice to see your channel growing more and more each day..Keep up the good work
Haha too funny man! I would be so stoked... I tried using a 5' ultra light spinning combo for topwater once and I couldn't set the hook in. Missed a bunch. SO MUCH FUN THOUGH
Gotta love froggin lol. I've done this. me n my friends have a thing going to see what kind of fish we can catch on an ice fishing rod. Gotten everything from saltwater to freshwater it's awesome
It'd be hard to get an ice fishing rod in Texas (without ordering it). That said, loved the video. So much enthusiasm. Can't really say much though. I caught a bunch of sticks today, and was enthusiastic each time... until I noticed they weren't fighting. xD
on your frustration question, yes, try straddling a fallen log, and seeing a large snakehead go under a mat of leaves under a bridge. tie on frog, cast, see snakehead following frog out from under bridge. Snakehead blows up on frog, harly motercycle drivs by, noise shakes log, I fall on my back in 3 feet of water, in a creek, not in a sandy patch, fish is gone. Frustration.
I love frog fishing although it doesn't always catch them its still fun. Also a tip with frog fishing you may only think you can fish on top water but if you have a frog like what he has if you squeeze it under water you can fish under water too!
+1Rod1ReelFishing hi never thought you would comment but yeah have a try at it since it actually works since i live in the UK we don't have bass etc so really people who fish for predators can only fish for a few types of fish such as Pike, Perch and Zander so really and to be fair the lakes aren't packed with them either so its so hard but i always use this technique because it usually works! anyway have a great day !!!
