There isnt any indication that it was a S600 drone in this video. Ukraine are deploying the Shark drone as loitering munition version, which has better performance and cheaper than the S600.

@@myahsoodinim8570 The amount of people that think one drone is interchangeable for any other variety of drone just do not understand. It's akin to comparing F-35 vs. F-22 vs. AWACS vs. C-130. Yeah those are all planes, but the accomplish different roles on the modern battlefield. Same concept with drones. Heck, maybe people would understand it better if they thought about them like comparing assault rifles/GPMGs/DMRs. They all shoot bullets. They are all serve different roles. You're not going to want a pistol when you need a PKM. You're also not going to want a Mk 19 grenade launcher if you're proactively clearing out tunnels underground. Different roles for different weapons.

The thing is, drones have severely shifted the economics of warfare. It used to be that side A would have important and expensive assets, that are threatened by side B's planes and helicopters, which in turn are very expensive themselves. Therefore side A would station some expensive air-defense-systems to protect their assets and if a plane or helicopter came into range, side A could shoot them down and their missile would be severely cheaper than the lost plane and pilot. Now you have tiny drones, that are harder to spot and easier to replace. So in this case, Russia would need to shoot down a stupidly cheap drone with a stupidly expensive missile, but if they don't, their assets get destroyed by high-precision guided weapons. Russia now has to use very expensive means to defend very expensive assets, that are threatened by very cheap means from Ukraine.

If you stay under 150 kph, you won't show up on their radar. It's designed to wipe slow movers off the scope so you don't engage birds and cars on a nearby highway.

@@hoangdaica1991 my friend go google ADM160 decoy missiles, it can be programmed to give the signals to look like any missile / plane. The Russians are using loads of missiles to shoot down decoys. They are loosing valuable stock and can’t replace them quick enough, it’s a mathematical fact. Things are going to get alit worse when the F16 enter with all their weapons. I dunno, the Switchblade 600 carries a Javelin warhead afaik, FPV drones sometimes carry old RPG grenades or just a wad of C4 and some crooked wires as a crude detonator mechanism. FPV drones have done great against anything including armored vehicles, but I think the Javelin would be a tiny bit more effective against more modern stuff like the T-90M.

Lancet is better, because they have an extra link to the second drone, so it doesn't lose connection when nearing the ground. Ukraine should adapt to that.

@@rmpyro Ukraine has a Lancet variant, it's called RAM 2, it's a variant of the Leleka 100. It has less range than Lancet though. They didn't mass produce it though, but I believe they are starting now. The RAM 2 has 30km range.

Look up the success rates of standard FPV drones vs. Switchblades. FPVs often have a success rate of 7-18%. Switchblades based on OSINT are usually in the 80-90% range. Yes FPVs are cheaper, but their role is different. The blackout for the hit is also straight forward. The amount of video footage allowed to be released regarding the Switchblade 600 is pretty strictly controlled.

I wonder if the drone footage continued until flames were billowing out of the vehicle. Even if no flames were observed, this is a sensitive electronic piece of equipment, and I don't think anyone is going to be rewiring it any time in the next decade......so let's just call it damaged so bad it will never be reused.
