The nerve to diminish the need for tzniyus from the disgusting world of arayus by claiming you have be a mentsch inside! BOTH ARE NECESSARY. Its an old faulty bait and switch argument. Generations stayed frum because of tzniyus. Maybe the 5 towns has a different hashkafa.
Maybe look at your own family picures from before the holocaust. Most women at that period in history, did not just dress in a manner, that would be unacceptable for today standards. They even dressed in a manner that's not even halachic (short sleeves etc.). And yes, they were perfectly Frum jews, and Hashem probably had a much bigger Nachas Ruach from them. So, don't give me this: "Generations stayed frum because of tzniyus".
