Sorry for the late reply things have been crazy. I like the mods you made to the board, my problem was a bit different. Wasn't the relays but something else it literally burned some surface mound resistors off the board. Cheers -Daniel
I am having the same issue on my Tormach. I’ve changed the control board, capacitor, motor, and the turret switch and still not resolved. Any suggestions?
It was the turret control board in my case. If you order one talk to John and mention me and my issues as there was much more to the story with firmware on the new board. Feel free to email me mention me and my channel they should remember. Dnjmachine@gmail.com Daniel
@@jamiedavis502 it was the turret board but there was also an issue with the firmware on the main board where the timing was set too low. This caused the turret to never get in place before the software to time out. Have you requested talking to John at tormach? If not do so he helped me a lot.
I haven’t spoken with John . I’ve been working mainly with Craig but Norm has chimed in a couple times. I’ve changed both boards twice , rebuilt the turret head-new bearings and grease, changed the sensor on the turret. Now it changes tools ok but times out when starting to move the X&Z. I still think maybe in firmware.
@@jamiedavis502 ask to talk yo John and mention me I believe the case number was like 2008. It took us a while to figure out the firmware shipped on replacement main boards was wrong. John knows all about it. He took my board back and verified it and ended up shipping me a demo models board solved the issue.
