Two counties away from where I live. The Armada tornado around the same time happened at the very northern end of my home County, while I live at the very southern end, which hasn't had a tornado since September 6, 1989 and my home city hasn't had a tornado since May 8, 1964! The "myth" about cities being protected from tornadoes isn't a myth here: 58 years and counting here, thanks mostly to Interstate 696!
I'm in Grand Blanc, so I got the tornado warning and it wasn't far away. We were under a severe t-storm warning, so I read the description and told my sister a tornado was possible. She doubted me and said there wasn't even any thunder so I went back downstairs and told my cousin... That's when I heard the alert on my phone. Oh, and my sister proceeded to sit next to the window in the living room when we were supposed to take shelter in a basement. The thunder scared the crap out of me and we were under an areal flood advisory for a bit.
i remember one in 2020. i was in genessee living in floor 1 of a apartment, me and my mom had to wait until the conditions were good enough for us. After, there was a flood warning
